I cut myself with knives and pens

“Shes innocent!” I heard. That voice, it couldn’t be. It was James. I started smiling until I suddenly remembered what he had done. But for some reason I was still happy to see him.
“Do you have evidence” The prosecutor said.
“These receipts in her bin.” Hes been going through my bin? “The signature wasn’t signed by Mr Rongslips. Which means even if she was using drugs, they weren’t from him”
I think it lasted another couple of hours or so, until they decided to let me go, but I wasn’t allowed to leave town. I had to attend another court session in a week.
Oh my god! I cant believe James did that! It was after the trial now and I saw James across the road. I ran towards him, almost getting ran over. I through my arms around his neck and he hugged me back. I did love him, I honestly did, but could I forgive him?
I started to cry on his shoulder.
“Hey, hey” he whispered in my ear “Don’t do that. You’ve been through a lot, let me give you a lift home.
I got into the passenger’s seat and he sat in the drivers. He held the wheel with both hands, eyes on the road. I wish he would look at me, just for a second. But he didn’t.
He drove down towards the forest that leads to my street.
“Why?” I said, quietly, but I know he heard.
“Why what?”
“Don’t play dumb with me”
There was a really long silence before he decided to answer. He breathed out heavily and sighed.
“I made a mistake”
“Yep”
“I don’t love Megan”
“Do you love me?”
“Yes!”
“Really?” It took him longer to reply this time
“Of course I do”
“Say it”
“What?”
“Say that you love me” He turned his head and stared into my eyes.
“I love you” he leant over and placed his soft lips to mine. He lifted one hand of the wheel and put it around my face.
I think we must of totally forgotten where we were as the next thing we know, he’s lost control of the car. We broke the kiss immediately as we felt the car skid down the hill. We felt one of the tires rip as we got caught in the rocks. We kept sliding in the mud as the engine made a massive BANG! Smoke spread everywhere and we couldn’t see. James hit the brakes and they tore right through the floor of the car. We decided to jump, but the car was going to fast, the air was causing a vacuum on the door so we couldn’t open it.
The next thing we know, the car flew and hit a tree…
