Who Ever Knew?

-Ashley's POV-

I was waiting for Andy at the movie theater the next day. It was a foggy, rainy, day, and I couldn't help but laugh when I saw him walking down the street with a Batman umbrella.
"What?" He asked innocently when he reached me.
"Your umbrella. It's just so cute."
"Aww, but you're wearing a raincoat. Now that is adorable," he told me as we walked in and bought tickets for a random movie. It turned out to be really cheesy and dumb, unlike in the books where when you do this you can just luck out into something awesome. Haha. Reality sucks sometimes.
"Remind me to actually look at what we're going to watch before we waste our money on it, please," Andy grumbled afterwards.
"Yeah, that was pretty bad," I agreed. "But we shouldn't let it ruin our date." I kissed him softly on the lips when we stepped outside the theater, but before I could deepen it, I heard a voice call my name.
"Ashley?"

-Andy's POV-

Ashley pulled away at the sound of his name. Or the voice, who knew. We turned to face the speaker. Well, speakers, considering Carly was with the person as well.
"CC?" Ashley asked, and they came over to us, sparking jealousy for a moment when my Ashy hugged him. But it died just as quickly.
"Hey, man, how've you been?" CC asked. "See you found a guy you like."
"Yep. Very much, in fact. This is Andy, my boyfriend," Ashley introduced me. I was proud to be announced as that, Ashley's boyfriend. But only liked me a lot? I thought he loved me...
"Hello," I said somewhat emotionless, shaking CC's hand. I scolded myself to be nicer because he was Ashley's best and only friend. "I can see you've met my sister," I added.
"Wait, Carly's your sister?!" CC laughed.
"Yeah. I know it's hard to believe because we don't look alike, but he's my brother," Carly told him. It was true, that we didn't look alike. I had raven hair and shocking blue eyes, but she was a brunette with hazel eyes.
"So how'd you guys meet?" Ashley questioned.
"I was walking down the street when I saw her in a frozen yogurt place and just had to tell her she was the prettiest girl I'd ever seen," CC admitted. Carly blushed, but obviously liked it.
"And then, we just started talking, and realized we had enough money with us for a movie, so eh, why not?" Carly continued for him.
"Then we ran into you guys," CC finished.
"Wow. Interesting way to meet. That takes guts, CC," I complimented him. Respect. I mean, normal people just aren't brave enough to go up to someone they thought was attractive and tell them it. Ashley nodded.
"Well, bye guys. Oh, no wait!" They turned back around. "Whatever you do, DO NOT see the alien invasion movie or whatever. We saw it, it sucks," Ashley warned them.
"Absolutely terrible," I backed him up.
"Thanks for the advice," Carly said before disappearing into the theater with CC.
"Well, that was interesting," I thought out loud.
"Yeah, I think they'd be cute together, too. So what do you want to do now, honey? Should we go somewhere for an early dinner? It's 5:30."
"Oh, wow, I didn't know it was so late, I thought it was like 3:00. Early dinner sounds great, darling, where would you like to go?''
"No idea, you've lived in this area longer than I have," he reminded me.
"Oh, I know!" I exclaimed excitedly. "You'll love this!" And so I took us to Boloco, an epic burrito place. "You like burritos, right?" I asked him when we arrived.
"Of course!" He responded, and I opened the door for him, doing a little 'ladies first' hand sweep. He giggled at that and walked through. He was so cute, giggling in a raincoat. Really, I just had to kiss him. I just didn't notice the people from school filming us and laughing in a corner until it was over.
"Andy Biersack is gay?" I heard one of them laugh.
"Not surprised. He's one of those weird emos."
"Shame, too. He was one of the hottest guys in school," another girl commented. I was angry, all of sudden. All I wanted was a peaceful, romantic date with Ashley. I was always unpopular because of who I was, but managed to avoid being majorly bullied because half of the girls in school wished that their boyfriends looked like me. I walked over to them, Ashley's hand in mine.
"I heard you, and yes, in fact, I am gay. If you've got a problem, put it in your juicebox and suck it up, because my life isn't any of your concern," I told them firmly.
"Not our problem," a boy said. "Yours, once we post this picture on instagram." He held up his phone for us to see a picture of Ashley and I kissing.
"Hey, that's actually a cute picture of Andy and I, could you send that to us?" Ashley asked, just to piss them off. The boy chuckled, unaware that we honestly couldn't care less.
"I'm sure you'll see it again, don't worry."
"I just don't know why you even give a f***," I said. "We don't care about anything you do. In fact, let's just get our food to go, Ashley." And with that, we did, taking it to the park.
"Do you really think he'll post it?" Ashley blurted out in worry once we had sat down at a table. I shrugged.
"Maybe. I don't know. Stupid people like that do stupid things to piss off people like us. But listen, Ashley, no matter what happens, know that I will always love you. If they dare hurt you, with words or fists, with anything at all, know that I will make them regret they ever looked at you. I've never been severly bullied like you were at your old school, but I swear, I will never let anyone touch you. You promised me that you would stop cutting and hurting yourself, so here's my promise: If you ever feel tempted to do that to yourself again, tell me who's making you feel that way and I'll deal with them. Ok?"
"Ok," he whispered with a nod, tears in his eyes.
"Hey. It'll all be alright," I promised, leaning in to kiss him. It was deep and wonderful, and full of understanding. When we pulled apart, they were running down his face.
"Why are you crying, darling?"
"Because I love you so much and I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful boyfriend like you who would do that for me," he told me, wiping away the tears. Oh my god.
"Ashy, I think you just made my heart melt," I replied. "Now I'm gonna cry!" I exclaimed before realizing our food was going cold. "Shit, our burritos are gonna get cold." So we ate them, and Ashley loved it, no surprise there, Boloco is awesome. Even if bitchy idiots tend to hang out there, too. When our date was finished and Ashley went home, I made sure to talk to Carly.
"Hey, Andy, about last night. I'm sorry, ok? I really am. I didn't believe you when I should have, and I'm sorry," she said before I could even say anything.
"Thank you for apologizing, Carly. I appreciate it. Anyway, what's going on with you and CC?" I teased, and she blushed.
"More than Ashley and I ever could have had," she responded.
"Ooh, spill." She laughed.
"You sound like a teenage girl. And he gave me his number and I'm going to see him tomorrow. I think I like him."
"Well, I'm glad for that. Goodnight, Carly."
"Night, Andy."
