Who Ever Knew?

-Ashley's POV-

Andy was the one to pull away first after our wonderful kiss.
"What is it?" I asked, sensing that something was wrong.
"I just don't know how to tell..." he trailed off.
"Hey, weren't you the one who had that whole speech about not giving a f*** about what people think?" I pointed out.
"Yeah, I'm just worried about Carly. She really likes you, you know. Since you've been coming over and everything, the few conversations she's had with you have her convinced that she's in love. She's not, of course, but there are some feelings. I've actually been trying to ignore it, but the girl's got a crush. It shouldn't break her heart to know that we're together, but she's not going to happy for us, either," he warned me.
"Shit," I mumbled. "You're right. I've tried to leave little hints that I'm not interested, but she hasn't been taking them, apparently. How should we tell her?" He shook his head.
"I don't know. My parents are going to be here in like 10 minutes," he said, checking the time on his watch. "Should we tell them now?" I nodded.
"We're going to eventually, and who knows, maybe they can help us out," I agreed.

-Andy's POV-

My heart pounded away in my chest as I recited what I was going to say to my parents. Mom, Dad, I have something really important to tell you. *deep breath* I'm gay, Ashley is my boyfriend. *prepare for impact*
"They're here!" Ashley cried. He had been watching out the window for me while I prepared myself. He turned around and saw my nervousness. "Hey, don't worry, babe, it'll be fine. I'll be holding your hand the entire time," he promised, and I nodded, unable to speak for the time being, and took it. We walked outside to meet them, hand in hand.
"Hey, Mom, Dad, I have something really important to tell you," I said to them as they stepped out of the car.
"What is it, Andy?" My Dad asked. I took a deep breath, sticking to my mental script.
"I'm gay, and Ashley is my boyfriend." Mom spun around to face Dad.
"Ha! I told you! Now pay up!" She commanded, holding out her hand for the cash Dad was digging out of his wallet. I was confused.
"Umm, what's going on?"
"Oh, Andy, after all these years, you never got a girlfriend when all of your friends did, not once did you even tell us you liked anyone.You hardly talk to girls and only hang out with guys. I said it was because you were gay, but your father bet me ten bucks it wasn't. Now, he owes me money," she explained.
"Wait, you guys bet money that I was gay?"
"It was your mother's idea," Dad grumbled as he handed over the cash.
"I can't believe this!" I exclaimed. What can I say, my parents are special people.
"Least this was easier than we thought it would be," Ashley said with a shrug.
"Ooohh, yes, now we get to have that super-embarrassing-awkward family dinner with the new boyfriend!" Mom squealed with enthusiasim.
"Mom, really?" I groaned. "Oh, wait, but we have a problem with that, anyway," I added.
"What is it, dear?" She asked while Dad began to unpack some groceries.
"Carly has a crush on Ashley," I told her.
"Ah, yes, that is a bit of a problem, though I'm sorry to say that you two should be the ones to tell her about your relationship. I'm in no position to deliver the news, but she'll get over it."
"Ok." But really, I wasn't so sure how things would play out.

I wanted to tell her with Ashley by my side, just for proof as well as boosting my confidence. But here was how I found myself stuck in my current situation of telling her alone:
Me: *Walks by Carly's room on the way to my room*
Carly: "Hey, Andy, could you come in here for a second?"
Me: *Enters room* "Sure, why?"
Carly: "Just pretend that you're Ashley right now."
Me: "Why?"
Carly: "Because I want to ask him out. You're a guy, tell me what you would think about this."
Me: "Carly, I don't think-"
Carly: "Just pretend." *Says cheap pick-up line*
Me: *Stands there awkwardly*

"Well, Andy, what do you think? Will he say yes?" She asked hopefully. Time to crush her dreams.
"You would have a better shot if he was single and straight," I told her, and her face fell.
"What do you mean?"
"Ashley has a boyfriend." She sank into her beanbag.
"Ugh, why does every boy I have to like either be taken in some way or famous?" She groaned. "I mean, he could have at least told me about this while I was trying to flirt with him. How long have he and this guy been dating?"
"Well, we only became official yesterday afternoon." She sat up immediately.
"What?"
"I said, we only became official yesterday afternoon."
"You are his boyfriend? You're who Ashley's dating?You're gay?" She asked, jaw hanging down in disbelief.
"Yes, is there a problem?" I replied. Her shock turned to anger.
"Yes, yes, Andy, there actually is a problem when you're dating my crush! I mean, first of all, really? Second of all, you can't like him as much as I do!" She yelled. Ok, this was going too far. Ashley was mine, and she didn't know a thing about love.
"Excuse me?"
"You can't like him as much as I do."
"You're right," I said, heading for the door. "I can't like him as much as you do, I'm in love with him and it's impossible for my feelings for him to suddenly drop when being lowered to your level of affection."
"That's fine then, leave!" She screamed at me. "I don't even believe you, anyway!" I re-entered her room with the pizza reciept from that first day in hand.
"Oh, really? Call him," I stated calmly before giving it to her and leaving.
"Fine then," she spat. "I will."

What do you guys want to happen? More drama, or should Carly calm down? I was kinda thinking she would get with CC at the end, but what's your opinion??
