Is He For Me?

Ashleys POV

After CC got back from the honeymoon, we kicked off our tour again in September. We were travelling outside of America and would be gone until new years eve. We would be home, but we had to play a show in LA on new years eve for the annual rock out show.
Being on the road for four months was going to be hard, but we managed to keep each other entertained.
We were playing in Vegas tonight. Our last venue in America before we played internationally. I called Riley before I went onstage.
I quickly dialed her number and she answered on the fifth ring.
"Hey Ash" she said a little out of breath.
"Hey Riles. Did I interrupt you at all?" I said checking my make up last minute.
"No, no. I'm at Kimbers house. We were just in the spa. Where are you guys tonight?" She asked.
"Vegas, your hometown. One day we are coming here and you are showing me where you use to work" I said
"Uhh, maybe. Vegas makes me nervous."
"Why?"
"Cause, returning to my past might bring them to my present. Theres a reason I left Vegas."
"Okay" I sighed. "Well I better go. We're going on soon. After tonight we'll be heading to Europe, so it might be a couple days before I can call you again. Untill then. I love you" I said, a smile spreading on my face.
"Have a good show. I love you too" she said hanging up afterwards.

After the show we decided to head to a bar and celebrate our last show in the US before new years eve.
"Hey Ash, you coming?" Andy asked.
"Yeah" I said leaving the bus and joining the others in the bar.
"You guys keen to hit up Europe?" Jake said.
"Oh yeah, will be fun. The fans are different there, they seem more excited" Andy said taking a sip of his whiskey.
"Its cause we play there every couple of years, whereas in the US we pretty much play there all the time" Jinxx said running his hands through his hair.
The conversation continued about our international tour when CC was looking intently towards the door.
"Whats up CC? What are you looking at?" Andy said following his gaze and realising what was so interesting.
"Ash, you're going to want to see this" CC said tapping my shoulder. "I wasn't sure before, but I'm pretty sure thats your ex" he pointed towards the girl wearing the Hello Kitty ears.
I turned around and saw a tall woman with fake blonde hair and an overdone tan. She caught my eye and her face lit up.
"Oh shit! Thats Kina!" I said turning back to the guys. "Please tell me she not coming over here!" I said panicking.
They all nodded their heads in unison and I felt a hand lightly graze my shoulder.
I looked up to see Kina smiling at me.
"Oh my God, Ashley! Its been so long!" She said excitedly. "Hey guys, how have you been?"
The guys mumbled general answers to her, not wanting to give her the time of day. They didn't really like her.
She sighed and looked back down at me.
"So Ash, how have you been?" She asked when the guys cut me out of the conversation, but still keeping an eye on us.
"Umm, been pretty good, just played a show tonight" I said keeping it light.
"I can see that with the war paint. Remember how I always had war paint in my..." She laughed nervously.
"Uhhh, yeah" I said feeling unsure.
She pulled up a chair and sat next to me. She started running her fingers along my arm.
"Umm, what are you doing?" I asked.
"What? Is this bothering you?" She said in a seductive tone.
Honestly, I wasn't turned on by her at all. She was trying too hard. Me and Kina went out before I had even met Riley. It didn't really end well. She got in the way of my work and I had to break it off. She is probably the only other real relationship I ever had. I was actually surprised she was even talking to me.
"Umm, actually it is. Could you please stop?" I said trying to be nice.
"Why? Do you wanna take this elsewhere?" She said with a smugness.
"No, because I have a girlfriend" I said a little too loud. The guys stopped their conversation and looked over at me.
"Ashy, come on! You? A girlfriend? Please. Come with me. For old time sake" she said batting her lashes at me.
"Did you not hear me the first time? I said no!" Standing up so I could tower over her.
"Ashy, don't make a scene. I'll make you feel better" she got up and tugged my wrist to follow her, but I snatched it away.
CC stood up and tried to break up our little feud. "Okay, guys. Break it up. Kina, leave!" He growled at her.
She finally retreated not giving me a second look.
CC pushed me back down into my chair. I grabbed my whiskey and skulled the its content.
"You okay Ashley?" CC said. All the guys were looking at me.
"Yeah, can't believe that bitch! Seriously! You guys heard me say no! Right?" My hands were shaking.
"Yeah, of course man! She was completely throwing herself at you" Jake said scowling.
"Ashley, you did nothing wrong. You told her straight out no. Don't stress out" Andy said patting my shoulder.
"I need to call Riley" I said shaking off Andys hand.
"I wouldn't do that Ash" Andy said following me out of my seat.
"Why?" I hissed.
"Cause, she'll get anxious and worried and you'll be back to square one with her. Trust me, I know her!" Andy said trying to stop me from leaving the bar.
"Okay fine. I won't tell her about Kina, but I still need to call her" I ran out of the bar and into the bus, locking the door so I wouldn't be disturbed.
It was 2:00 am here. She might still be up. I hit call and listened to the phone ring.
After trying for the second time she answered on the fourth ring.
"Hello?" She croaked.
"Hey, I didn't wake you, did I?"
"Umm kinda. Whats up Ashley?"
"Just wanted to hear your voice" I said nervously. She'd see through my excuse.
"Ash, you never call for that. Whats on your mind?"
"I just had a run in with an ex and I just wanted to tell you cause I didn't want you hearing it from someone else and get a completely fucked up version of it, cause I swear to you nothing happened! She came up to me and I told her straight out no! Please believe me Riley! I love you so much! You are everything to me and I would lose myself if I lost you. I never want anything to ever come between us and that is the reason I'm telling you this" I paused for a minute awaiting her response. "Please say something Riley! I can't go on this tour with you mad me nor could I not tell you about this cause it would haunt me! Please Riley!" I could feel a lump forming in my throat. I was going to burst into tears if she didn't say something soon.
"Ashley, this is a lot to take in at 2 am. Umm, I believe you. If you say nothing happened, then nothing happened. I'm glad you told me cause if I had heard it somewhere else I would have been upset. Just yeah, don't run off with some blonde Ashley. I love you too much for you to break my heart."
A sigh of relief escaped my lips and a smile spread across my face. "I love you so fucking much Riley James!"
"I need sleep doll, talk soon. Please don't stress" and she was gone.
She was seriously the best girlfriend ever! And she was mine. I wanted her to be mine forever.

The rest of the tour couldn't go fast enough, but finally it was new years eve and we were back in LA. All the girls were coming to the show to meet us afterwards, so after four months I would finally see Riley again. I had something major planned and everyone was in on it.
Saviour was the second to last song we were playing and thats when it got interesting.
"Okay guys, we have a very special treat tonight. You are about to witness something magical" Andy said addressing the crowd. "Tonight, Ashley is going to need your help to sing Saviour with him, right Ash?"
"Yep. Believe it or not, but I can sing and there's someone who is my saviour and I want her to come out here" I saw Riley rush to the side wings of the stage. I held my hand out towards her and she entered the sight of the crowd.
The band started to play, but I sang with help of the crowd. By the end of the song I was shaking cause what was coming next was going to change our lives forever.
She already had tears of joy running down her face and blushing deeply. I pulled off my bass and took out the small box in my pocket.
I heard her gasp over the roar of the crowd and her hands instantly went cover her mouth.
"Riley, the time we have spent together has been life changing for me. I never thought I would find someone who would understand me like you do. I love you with all my heart and I want to be with you for the rest of my life. Riley, will you marry me?" I said sliding down on one knee and opening the ring box.
"Yes Ashley!" She said flinging her arms around my neck and kissing me. I couldn't wait to start my forever with her.
