Just a friend, nothing more.

-Jake's POV-

When I woke up, the sun was shining brightly through the windows in Andy's room. But where was Andy? His arms weren't around me anymore, I was the only one here. I twisted out of the blankets and stood up, rubbed the sleepiness from my eyes, and walked downstairs in a daze to find Andy.
"Babe?" I called.
"In the kitchen. How'd you sleep?"
"Better than ever before thanks to you. Hey, are you cooking breakfast?" I asked with a laugh when I walked in.
"Yup," he answered as he flipped a golden brown pancake. I took a moment-okay, a few moments-to look him over. He was wearing black pajama pants with little tiny skull and crossbones on them, and a navy blue sweatshirt. His hair was messy and oh my god, he was, if possible, sexier and more adorable than I had ever seen him.
"You're so cute!" I couldn't help but exclaim. "I mean, you're just-" I shook my head and before he could pour more batter into the pan, I turned him away from the stove, stared into his piercing blue eyes for a second, and kissed him. He turned the stove off afterward.
"I love you, Jakey. And you think I'm cute in the morning? You should see yourself," he told me, ruffling my hair, which was no doubt pointing in almost every direction. This was the kind of morning that just a mere week ago, I could only dream about experiencing.

-Andy's POV-

"So I take it the power's back on?" Jake asked as he drizzled syrup over his pancakes.
"Thankfully, yes. How are the pancakes?"
"To die for," Jake responded, gorgeous eyes closed as he savored them. "I didn't know you could cook."
"Don't get too excited, it's the only thing I can make without burning the house down," I replied. "And after breakfast, are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Jake glanced up instantly.
"Finishing the Twilight Saga?"
"Finishing the Twilight Saga."

Which turned out to be pretty awesome. No spoilers, of course, but I really ended up enjoying that series, despite the slightly ridiculous feeling that underlined the plot and all the hate it (unfairly) recieves from most people.
"What did you think, baby?" I asked Jake once the credits of Breaking Dawn part two were rolling.
"All in all, much better than I expected. Pretty good, in fact. Hey, what time is it?" I checked my watch for a second.
"HOLY SHIT, IT'S 11:45, YOUR PARENTS ARE GOING TO PICK YOU UP IN 15 MINUTES!" I screamed, springing up from the couch.
"Wait, what?" He cried, leaping up as well. "You're kidding, right?" I shook my head.
"Ok, first we have to get ready, then you have to pack up, and then we need to decide if we should tell them about us yet," I said, laying out the plan. 10 minutes later, we were back in the living room, waiting for Jake's parents and considering our options.
"If we told them now, they'd assume that we...did stuff...last night, which we didn't. The Halloween dance is this Friday, let's tell them then," Jake suggested.
"Sounds good," I agreed as the doorbell rang. "One quick kiss before you have to go?" I pleaded.
"Of course, baby." It was a short, peck on the lips, but it was better than nothing.
"Hey, mom," Jake said when we opened the door a couple seconds later.
"Hello, Jake, good morning, Andy. Are you ready to go, sweetie?"
"Yeah," he replied, dragging his bag out the door. "Bye, Andy, see you later!" He called, waving goodbye. He blew me a silent air kiss when his mom was turned around, which I returned just as secretly. Ah, Jakey, I thought as they drove off. Who ever knew I would fall so hard for my best friend?

Notes

If any of you were wondering, yes I am a Twihard. Really, there's nothing bad about that series! The movies would be better if Bella (Kristen Stewart) didn't make these weird, awkward breathing noises a lot. Kind of like what you do when someone is talking to you and they repeat themselves like 5 times but you still have no idea what they said. Anyway, hope you guys liked it! The next chapter will be on CC and Ashley/
