Just a friend, nothing more.

I couldn't think of a name for this chapter

-Andy's POV-

Two weeks later, I was sitting on a bench with Sandra and her girlfriend, Lawren, while eating ice cream. It was like a replay of the last day of school, and I laughed aloud at the thought.
"What?" Sandra asked.
"Oh, nothing," I replied. "It's just that on the last day of school, this is what I did with my friends. We all got ice cream and sat on a bench, talking about life. This is like another version of that memory." I had already told Sandra my summer plans, but Lawren hadn't heard them yet.
"Wait, did you come to this exact place?" She asked.
"No. Oh, I forgot I didn't tell you yet. My parents are away a lot of the time for work and had to come here for the summer, so I came with them. I live in Ohio," I answered.
"Oh, that's cool," she said, finishing off the remains of her ice cream. "You ready to go, darling?" Lawren asked Sandra, standing up.
"Yup." She gave her a quick peck on the cheek as she stood up, reminding me of the PDA game we used to play.
"You aren't homophobic in any way, are you?" Lawren asked suspiciously when she saw me laughing.
"Nope," I told her, throwing away the rest of my cone. "I have a boyfriend, actually. But I'm just remembering another thing we used to do back home." I described the game to them as we walked down the boardwalk.
"I miss my Jake," I sighed afterward. "I told all my friends I'd Skype them, but the wifi at the house we rented is really crappy. I can hardly do anything."
"You could do it from my house, if you want," Sandra offered.
"Yeah, how about tonight?" Lawren suggested. "I'm free. Does that work for you guys?" I nodded, growing excited. It had been two weeks, but still. I missed my Jakey, and he must miss me, too.
"Sounds awesome!" Sandra agreed, and I grinned.
"I believe we have a plan."

Through the shitty wifi, I managed to contact Jake, tell him I love him, and to tell everyone to be on Skype tonight at 7:00. Now, I was at Sandra's house and waiting for them to log on. Finally, we were connected.
"Hello? Guys? I can't see you, is the camera on?" I asked.
"Yeah, it should be, but I can hardly hear you," someone, I think Jinxx said. I couldn't see them, the screen was black. After much yelling, we finally fixed things so that it was working.
"Whew. Well, that was a struggle," Sammi said when it was all figured out. "Hey, who are they?"
"Alright, introduction time," I announced. "Sitting next to me is Sandra, next to her is Lawren."
"Hello," they both said at the same time. Ashley and CC waved.
"Ok, so starting from the left and moving right, there is Ashley with CC on his lap, they're together, there's my Jakey (Jake blushed and blew me a little kiss when I said this) there's Jinxx, and then there's Sammi," I told them, and they nodded. "So how have things been?" I asked.
"Good. CC walked around the mall in a pink tutu when he lost 'what are the odds'," Jinxx informed us, and Lawren exploded in laughter.
"What game is this?" She asked.
"Wait, have you never played what are the odds?" Ashley asked her, shocked. She shook her head.
"I've never played, either," Sandra added. "How do you play?"
"Ok, so first, you think of a dare or something. Here, I'll do an example with Jake," CC said, turning to him. "Jake, what are the odds that you'll stand on that table over there and start singing along to and dancing to a Justin Bieber song?" Oh, that was a bad one.
"1 in 50," he answered.
"Aww, come on, you're no fun."
"Fine. 1 in 30."
"Ready? 3, 2, 1. 7!"
"23." They both said their numbers at the same time. "Haha, yes!" Jake said in victory.
"If we had said the same number, he would have to do it," CC told them, obviously disappointed.
"Oh, ok," Lawren said. "I get it. Sounds like a cool game." And so we talked for the remainder of the time, catching up on things, joking around, being the random people that we are. I wished so badly that they could be with me, at least Jake, or that we could be with them. Then I remembered something.
"Hey, Jake, what did your parents say about you coming out here to see me?" His face lit up.
"The middle of July, baby. We have it scheduled, and I can't wait to see you," he said, and I grinned, wanting to kiss him, feel his lips against mine more than ever before.
"I love you," I sighed, knowing I would have to save that kiss for next month.
"Kiss the camera, kiss the camera!" CC began chanting. I rolled my eyes.
"Really, CC? You just ruined the moment."
"Hey, what are the odds that you and Jake will kiss the cameras?" Sammi asked with a laugh.
"Hmm... 1 in 25," I settled with.
"Ok, ready? One, two, three."
"16!" We both said, and Jake and I groaned. Everyone else laughed as we were forced to lean in to kiss the camera. Yeah, I said I wanted to kiss him, but really? This was not what I had in mind.
"Alright, you've had your laugh, who's up next for what are the odds?" Jake asked afterward. Before we all said goodbye and logged off, Ashley had to drink a strange concoction of lemonade, mayonaise, chocolate sauce, and vinigar, and Sandra had to tell her most embarressing memory. Personally, I thought it was a pretty hilarious evening. I couldn't wait until Jake came to visit.

Notes

Sorry this chapter wasn't as good, it was sort of a filler before the next one, which will be better. Still, hope everyone liked it! Don't know when the next update will be, sorry.
