I'm sitting on my green leather couch watching a Sherlock marathon on netflix, when someone knocks on the front door. Getting up I peek out the curtain to see a cop cruiser with blue and red flashing lights.

" Good evening officer" I say open the door a little
" uh, is your father home?" He asked me
" my father past away along time ago, and y moms out too"
" are you home alone?"
" uh, yes I am"
" I'm going to have you to come down town with me"
" why? What's going on?"
" You'll have to come with me"
"no! Not until you tell me what's going on"
" I didn't what to do this here but, our mother passed away in a car crash, I'm so sorry."

Time just stopped, I couldn't move, and all the air in my lungs left me.

the rest of the night and process past by in a blur, the only thing that stuck out was the fact that I had to move in with my brother, whom I've never met.
" what's his name? Where does he live? How old is he?" I asked
" his name is Christian Coma, he lives in L.A, he's a drummer in a band, and he turned 29 recently."
" How are we related?"
" That I couldn't tell you, sorry"
" it's fine, when d-do I leave?"
" You have been given three days to pack anything needed, and to say your goodbyes."

Three days. Threes days till I leave behind my life, friends, and everything I have.

" Your brother will come here and you will both fly to L.A after the funeral"
" okay, can I go home now"
home, my home, my home for only three more days.
