The Morticians Daughter
Recovery
A bright light and beeping nose made me ache in pain. i groaned as i rubbed my soar arm.. i felt something on my upper wrist, was that.. a butterfly needle?
i gained some consciousness as i looked around the suddenly bright room. eh.. it smelled like medicine. my nostrils flared as i saw the old man sitting in a chair by my bed. it was my dad. i have so many questions.. why am i in a hospital? wheres Kelley? WHY AM I IN A FUCKING HOSPITAL.
for the first time i tried to talk, i breathed in air, which i almost hacked up a lung from my dry throat. which also woke up my dad.
"hey pal.. your awake!" he looked so happy and relieved.
"where am i?" i asked. i knew it was a hospital, but where at?
"oh your at Windsor laurel wood. it was the closest hospital to the beach. you have been here for about 3 days." Jesus Christ? i have been out for three days?
"do you remember what happened Andy?"
i shaked my head no as i stared at my fathers blue eyes, that resembled mine.
"well. from what they know, you haven't eaten in about 4 days before you came here. they think it was depression from your mother.." oh.. i remember now. me and Kelley where getting ready to leave the beach, and then i passed out.
"andy.. you could have died." i looked away. "but i didn't.." my dad sighed. "Kelley in the waiting room. she refused to leave when asked and her father even had to bring her clothes. she was the one that carried you into the car and brought you here, then called me." my eyes shot up. kelleys here?! "can she come in, andy? she really wants to see you." i nodded slowly, as my father smiled and left the room. i was so happy when i heard the door open again, but my smile vanished when i saw kelleys face..
