Life of Dakota

I race down the stairs opposite my bedroom and run into the kitchen. OUCH! I scream in pain as i find fragments of glass stuck on the bottom of my foot. I stare down at it. Shocked in horror to see the crimson blood oozing out the sides of the glass fragment. I instantly pull it out and block out all the pain that surges through my foot. I raise my head and see my mum at the foot of the corner counters- head in her hands screaming and crying in pain over the loss of dad.

I limp over to mum trying not to put pressure on my injured foot. As soon as i reach her, i slowly bend down and hug her to try and calm and comfort her. "It'll be okay mum, we'll get through this. Dad'll never wanted to see you cry, mum." I say in a calm voice trying to calm her down. "You're right Dakota, i beed to be strong. I need to stay strong for your dad and for you and Hilary. " she says in sobs. The pain worsens and blood starts to trickle all over my foot. "You're strong mum. You WILL get though this." I said reassuringly and smiled. She smiled back and gave me a hug. "Thank you Dakota. You're right... Go clean up your foot... Blood is getting everywhere." She said trying to sound calm. I wasn't sure if that was genuine. But i listen to what she says and hurried up to my room to clean up my bloody foot and wrap a bandage around it. Mum will get through this and we'll learn to cope... Hopefully.

Ok so it is like 3:26am in the morning and i've written three chapters in a row. So looks like im turning in for the night... Well morning. So night all. I'll update tomorrow! :)
