Daddy's Little Girl

I was dying to see my niece. Mom said she's all grown and I haven't talk to Jinxx in awhile. As I walked to the door, I started to imagine how she looked. Either like her mom or her dad. I rang the doorbell. Dad answered the door.

"Travis!", he said as he hugged me.
"Hey dad"

I got in, the house looks just like I remember it. I sighed as a bunch of beautiful memories started to play in my mind. And that smell in the air..surely mom is cooking. I walked to the coffee table and grabbed the frame that had a baby picture of Christina. I smiled.

"I will really like to see her. How is she?"
"Growing every day, she has Jeremy's attitude and looks just like Jessica".

I know Jinxx will surely faint when he sees his daughter again. I'm sure he'll fall inlove again, knowing she looks just like Jessica.

"Where is she now?", I asked.
"She's in her bedroom"
"I want to say hi to mom first", I said as I walked to the kitchen, as always there a found a grown Seth.

"Seth, look at you! You're grown!"
"Time flies, right?"
"It really does", I said as I hugged him, I hugged mom as well. I missed everyone, incluiding the neighbors, of course. I left the kitchen and went upstairs, I didn't even knock the door, I want to surprise her. I went inside and she was lied in her bed. I touched her shoulder.

"Seth, I told you to leave me alone!"
"I'm not Seth" She turned around and her first reaction was give me a tight hug.
"Uncle Travis! I missed you so much you don't have any idea! Please, tell me you're staying and that you're not just passing by.."
"You surely look like your mother...and yes I'm staying, I'm not going anywere until your dad shows up.."

She sat up and looked at me with sad eyes, those sad eyes I hated so much when she was 4 years old.

"I bet he's never showing up.."
"Why you say that, sweetie?"
"Because we both know he hates me..I'm glad his life is better off without me.."
"Christie, he doesn't hates you..he loves his baby girl..well, you're not a baby anymore"
"If he does so much, why he have been 17 years absent?"

She had a point. Jinxx doesn't has any idea of how his daughter looks, and I bet he misses her, even though he only saw her a few times before leaving.

Notes

Travis is actually Jinxx's brother. His mom had a son from a previous marriage, which is Travis.
