Sammi's P.O.V

It was time to say bye to Jinxx...he'd been hugging Christina for the last 2 hours and I know there's no way he's going to let her go. Worst of all, is raining which makes this day unbearable..I walked to them and hugged Jinxx bye, as I grabbed Christina's hand. I could see she was about to cry, but she's holding back the tears and all she needs right now is to have her father close, but he has to go and she knows I'm going to be here..I'm here to protect and love her for as long as I live. Once, Jinxx walked away from us a few tears escaped her eyes. I hugged her and kissed her forehead, to let her know everything is going to be alright.
"Let's go back into the house", I said.
She nodded as we started to walk, "I'm already missing him"
"I'm missing him too..do you want to watch a movie?"
"Are we watching Batman?"
I chuckled and nodded, "Yes, we are"
"Then, I'm in", she said as we sat together in the couch.
"Want any drinks, popcorn?"
"Yes, please"
"Megan!", I called.
"Yes, miss Sammi..", she said as she walked in.
"What I said about that?"
"Sorry..yes, Sammi?"
"Can you bring the little one, popcorn and hot chocolate, please.."
"I'm not little!", Christina complained.
Megan chuckled, "In it's way..", she said as she walked to the kitchen.
"If you're not little, then what you are?", I asked.
She shrugged, "I don't know..but I'm not little"
"Okay, I got it.."
"Can I ask you something?"
"Anything.."
"Were you the one who placed the pictures of my mom around the house?"
"Amy and me.."
She smiled, "Thanks"
"You're welcome", I said as I hugged her. "Now, can I ask you something?"
"Yes.."
"Will you be my bridesmaid?", I asked.
"Me, really?"
"Yes, you"
"Well, I don't know what to say.."
"Please, tell me you'll be.."
"Okay, I'll love to be your bridesmaid"
"We'll get your dress on the weekend, plus you're starting school tomorrow "
"I totally forgot..", she said.
"What you mean you forgot?"
"I mean, I'm new and I really want to leave a good impression on my first day"
"All you need is talent, baby"
"Are you sure that's the only thing I need?"
"Of course! You're beautiful, talented, you have a big heart and that's all you need for a first day of school"
She sighed, "I guess.."
"And I know you'll love it"
"Yeah.."
"Is something wrong?"
"I miss my friends.."
"Have you call them? They were really worried about you and they're dying to know if you're okay"
"I'll call Seth", she said as she pulled out her phone
"Okay", I said as I saw her standing up and walking to the kitchen.
I grabbed some popcorn and looked up at the tv. I grabbed the remote and started to surf through channels. All I want is to make Christina happy, plus that's exactly what Jinxx wants right now...to see her happy and he doesn't wants to see her cry again. We were talking last night and I guess I know how to win her over...or maybe I already did. She came walking back into the room with a big smile in her face.
"So...who's that Seth guy?", I asked.
"He's my best friend and he's coming next week!"
"Awesome.."
"And is there anything between you two?"
"I wish...but we're so far away from each other and I'll really love to be with him but I can't.."
"Distance..always getting between"
She sighed, "Yeah.."
"But he'll get over it, you'll see.."
"I really want to stay at my old school, be with my friends and grandparents..you know, my old life..", she said as she sat next to me.
"You'll be able to see them again, sweetheart...it's not like you always have to be away from them"
"I know...but I wish I could always be with them"
"Your dad thinks is a good idea if we visit your granparents next month, plus he's not going to be here and your uncle is looking after them"
"Are we really going to Iowa?"
I nodded, "If that makes you happy"
"More than it!", she said as she hugged me and kissed my cheek.
I know how much it means to her to be back home...and I know it'll do good if we visit my parents-in-law...and they are the best thing because they took care of Christina, when Jinxx didn't and when he was hiding her from me, because I swear to God I feel she's like my own already and I'm going to do my best to be the best step-mother ever!
"Sammi...want to go out?", she asked.
"It's raining! Where are we going?"
"For something to eat.."
"Megan, Lucy or Anna can cook us lunch, you know?"
"I know...but I want to get out and spend some time with you, plus we can go shopping, buy some jewels and we can have lots of fun while we're together and even though we both miss dad, we're here for each other"
"You're right, let's go..", I said as I standed up and went to get ready. I bet people are going to think we're sisters but that's what I want to be, but basically I'm her step-mom and I'm going to be here until the end...I looked myself in the mirror and I loved it (My Outfit). I went down the stairs and to be honest, Christina and I looked like twins, she looked perfect too (Christina's Outfit).
"Ready to go?", she asked.
"More than ready", I said.
On the way to IHOP we were singing along to Love To My Cobain by Jeffree Star and I swear my girl is talented, she has an amazing voice and a great taste in music, as well. I pulled over and we got out of the car, as some guys that were in the parking lot started to whistle..
"Haven't you guys seen the ring?", Christina said.
"Is not her we have eyes on, but you..", one of the guys said.
"Well, stop having eyes on her before I kill you with my own bare hands" , I said as we started to walk towards the building.
Christina giggled, "You're awesome"
"Girl, you're twice as awesome as I am", I said.
"To be honest, I don't see you as my step-mother, but my best friend"
I smiled, "Really?"
"Yeah, and honestly you're not my step-mother, but my mom..you're not the half of it and I know my mom placed you in the way so you take care of me"
I grabbed her hand and smiled, "Even though I never met your mom, I feel like she's taking care of me"
"You're really sweet, Sammi and I really like you..and I thought you were like that kind of cinderella story kind of step-mother"
"No...when your dad told me about you, I was like seriously mad at him.."
"Really?"
"I was because I never had a father that took care of me and I told him it was time to do things right..."
"You had change my dad for the best and I have to thank you"
"You don't need to thank me anything, you deserve it after all this years baby"
"Thank you"
"Now, lets eat and go shopping", I said.
Once we finished eating, we went to the mall and we started to walk around...obviously earning stares from guys that were walking with their girlfriends. We buyed twin bracelets and I'm already starting to love it..and I hope we spend more time together, more than before because she's the best thing that had ever happen to me, I swear...While we were, drinking hot chocolate my fiance called, I answered and placed him on speaker.
"Hey baby", I said.
"Hey! How things are going around home and what's that noice?", he asked.
"Well, we're at the mall and we're cool"
"Hey daddy!", Christina said.
"Hi princess, are you having fun?"
"How I'm not going to have fun with my best friend and mom?", she said.
"I'm glad you guys are getting along", he said.
"Since we met, we made click", I said.
"I hope that now that you're friends you don't leave me behind.."
"We're not friends", Christina said.
"Best friends", I said.
"Okay, best friends..", he said.
"And we'll never leave you behind, we're a family now", she said.
"Well, I got to go, but I promise I'll call tonight"
"Have fun and say hi to the guys for us", I said.
He chuckled, "I will"
I know Jinxx misses us and we miss him too, plus I'm glad we're already a family and I'm glad Christina trusts me.
