Escape The Past

(Still Ashley's POV)
I stared at her hospital bed as tears ran down my cheeks, she was on life support and they told me if she didn't wake up tomorrow they would pull the plug. And I couldn't stop crying, it was as if there was a never ending river running from my eyes. "Please Megan wake up, I need you." I said to her as I kissed her forehead and sat back in my seat, my hands shaking from the stress and lack of sleep. I looked over at her as I watched her chest rise up and down, up and down, up, and down. I looked back down at my shaking hands as I heard someone speak my name, "Yes?" I said to the Doctor as I walked out and forced a smile through my saddened face as she returned it to me, "Mr. Purdy, I'm afraid to say that if she doesn't wake up by midnight tonight then we will have to pull the plug. I'm so sorry." She said to me as she walked away so that I could calm myself down, "No no no!" I mumbled to myself as I looked back at my sleeping beauty, I hadn't eaten in days, and if I did it was only in small amounts and I had passed out a few times, but I deserved it, I deserved every single part of it since I had broke my butterflies heart. I wanted to feel the pain she felt, I wanted to feel every single emotion she felt, but I couldn't. I sat down in the chair next to her bed again, I closed my eyes as I tried to fight passing out again.

"A..a..sshley?" A hoarse voice spoke as I opened my eyes and stood up and looked down at her as she looked at me and how bony I was, "I was so worried about you!" I said as I watched my tears drip onto her face, "What? I thought.." I stopped her and began to explain, "She forced herself on me and I couldn't get her off, and I was so worried when you blacked out and when they told me you weren't going to wake up! I haven't eaten for weeks, If you were going to die I wanted to die with you..." I finished as she looked up at me tears welling up in her eyes, "Ash, why did you do that? You should have been eating! Even if I died!" She told me as I nodded and pulled her close to me, "I missed you so much." I whispered in her ear, as she looked up at me and said the same thing her hoarse voice startling her a bit. "Its okay, I'm here. And I'm never leaving, I love you." I said as I kissed her cheek and moved a piece of her hair out of her face. I watched as the Doctor walked in and smiled at me setting down two trays of food for both of us, I smiled and thanked her as I began to eat, slowly though. And then once I was done I began to help Megan, making sure that she still was able to eat without throwing up. "Thank you." She said to me after she was done, I felt her lay her head on my shoulder and smile at me, "The Doctor said you could get out of here tomorrow, and I promise I will take you anywhere you want." I told her as she smiled and nodded with a bigger smile as the minutes progressed, "God, I'm so sorry Butterfly, I won't ever hurt you again." I said to her as she smiled and nodded, "Ash its okay." She said a little bit quiter so that the people walking back and forth through the hospital.


I was so glad that she forgave me, because I would honestly be on my death bed if she was, and if she wasn't I would have been heartbroken. The butterfly and the Outlaw were finally reuinted once again.
