I Can't Love Him...Can I?
Chapter 7
Juliet's POV:
As I walked back to the bus, I saw Alexa walking out with a really cute guy. I hid behind the bus to eavesdrop on their conversation:
"You look absolutely beautiful tonight." The guy told Alexa, who's dress was sparkling in the moonlight.
"Thank you, Jake. You don't look to bad yourself!" She giggled, and they walked away, out of my earshot. Alexa was always awful with guys. Why was she so dressed up to go out with a guy she had just met? Why doesn't she change her flirting ways? It didn't work out last time! With Eric... He was so easy to persuade. I am the better Simms sister. And I will do anything to prove it. I was always jealous of Alexa. She received standing ovations every time she sang in school productions, and I was always known just as Alexa's sister. I swore to myself that one day Alexa would feel the same way I did. It took a lot of hard work, but I convinced my dad that Alexa wasn't the singer of the family ...I was. At the last live performance Alexa did, I turned off her mic. When she performed, no one could hear her. This brought everyone to believe she never could sing, and that she had always just lip synced. My dad lost all respect for her, and, when she denied that she ever lip synced, he told her to take responsibility for get actions. To my pleasure, he hasn't forgiven her yet. And Alexa never found out... Even though it was seven years ago.
I walked on to the bus, expecting Andy to jump out of his seat, embrace me and tell me he has missed me, asking where I had been. But, he didn't . He just sat on the couch, sulking. Oh god. Did he find out?
"Andy I'm so sorry! I didn't want to hurt you!" I cried, my fake tears tumbling down my cheeks.
"Juliet, you did nothing to hurt me! It's not your fault that your insensitive little sister doesn't care about anyone but herself." Andy said.
Perfect...Andy was on my side.
Alexa's POV
I couldn't believe how amazing Jake was. Both him and I have a passion for rock music, and he loves Black Veil Brides, which, of course, turned me on. I couldn't see how this date could go wrong, until I got this text message:
'We aren't friends.- Andy'
My heart shattered. I started to choke on nonexistent air. My heart was in my throat and I couldn't breathe.
"Alexa? Are you alright?" Jake asked.
He put his arm around me, and warmth flooded through my body.
"I'm fine, thank you. So what are we going to do now?"
"I thought we could go get some food and play bowling!" Jake said.
"Perfect!" I exclaimed.
The date lasted two hours, and I had so much fun! Jake drive me back to our tour bus, and, as we said goodnight, he collided his lips onto mine. Fireworks exploded in my stomach, and all the pain that I had ever felt seemed to float away. When we pulled away, we smiled at each other, and without a word, Jake went back to his truck. When I could no longer see him, I jumped in the air and screamed, "YES!"
I then looked up and saw the blinds of Andy's bunk suddenly close.
