I Can't Love Him...Can I?
Chapter 12
Andy's POV
"His name's Eric. We dated briefly when I was sixteen. He cheated on me with Juliet. Juliet told me Eric kissed her, but now I'm truly doubting that." Alexa said, her words stifled by sniffles. She had been crying into my shoulder for two hours.
"I'm honestly just hurt that Juliet has tried to sabotage everything that I love. I was in love with him and she took him from me! And then there's yo... Never mind." I knew she was about to say you, meaning me. What was she talking about?
Alexa's POV-
How could I almost tell Andy that I ever had feelings for him! It lasted for like a day, and the feelings were truly indecisive. I was happy when he got together with Juliet, and how close our friendship was.
"Lex...what's on your mind. C'mon shorty it's me! Batman!" Andy said, twirling a strand of my hair. I felt shivers run down my spine, but I ignored them.
"Okay...the first day I met you, I developed a very tiny crush on you. I wrote about you in my diary, and Juliet read my entry. She then wrote at the bottom of the page, 'He's mine.' which I just noticed the other day. When you guys got together, I was really happy that we became friends, yet I couldn't find a boyfriend of my own. Until Jake, who ended up having a girlfriend..."
I began to hyperventilate. Why did I just tell him all of that?
He started rubbing my back, and pulled me closer into his arms.
"Alexa, you are one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen. Your smart, well spoken, and you make me feel like I'm worth something. Jake and Juliet are both idiots."
He then took my head in his hand, and began to lower his lips towards mine. I wanted to kiss him. I wanted him more than I wanted to be a singer, or to have confidence in myself. Because when I'm with him my heart is singing, and I feel complete. Yet I pulled away.
"Andy, I can't. You're still officially with my sister, and I can't betray her like that!"
"Alexa, she's been having sex with your ex-boyfriend, and she singlehandedly ruined your chances of being a singer and ruined your step fathers trust for you. You know she's the one that pulled out your microphone course seven years ago and convinced everyone you had lip synced right?"
I started to scream. How could she do this to me? And how could Andy ever keep this from me?
I started feeling dizzy, and, through blurred vision, I could see the color draining from my skin. Then it all went black.
