The Wretched and The Devine

"That's not important. I need you to meet me at the local coffee shop, alone. Otherwise your friends die."

"Fuck you!"

"Have it your way." The person hung up and then Emily's phone rang.

"It's an unknown number..." She said.

"Give it to me." She tosses her phone to me and I caught it, then answered it.

"Hello."The person said. "Your-"

"I did it but there is blood everywhere..." I said trying to sound serious.

"Shit, dude!!!" Another voice, in the background said. "This was just a prank call."

"I know, but can you stop calling us?"

"Uh...ok."

"Bye."

"...Bye." He said. i hung up and tossed Emily her phone.

"That was awesome!" Hannah yelled.

"Let's finish the cover then practice some of our own songs." Emily said.

"Sounds good Em." I replied.

I guess they don't know, what a fake smile is, and I bet they never will.
We finished one of our songs, called Fake Smiles, and decided to get breakfast.


Emily's POV


"Why don't we go to that new coffee shop?" I asked.

"Uhh...sure." Sarah said. "I know where that is. we will take my truck."

"Okie dokie!!" Hannah exclaimed. Sarah grabbed her key and we headed out the door to her black truck. She seemed nervous, also a little embarrassed. Why she would be embarrassed? I have no clue. I sat in the front with her. Hannah jumped in the back, excited to get something to eat. The car ride was quiet and boring. I turned on the music and Sarah changed it from the radio to cd. Welcome to the Black Parade came on and we all started singing.

A black car was heading towards us from the other lane. A child ran out into the street. The black car swerved. Sarah screamed. The car hit our truck and that was the last thing I saw.


Hannah's POV

Sarah screamed. Emily hit the dashboard and I couldn't find my voice. Sarah went through the windshield. I unbuckled my seatbelt and pried open the door. I ran to Sarah. She had crashed through our windshield and the other car's windshield, she now lay in some guys lap. I opened the passenger door and carefully picked up Sarah. I ran back to her truck to get Emily. Someone came up behind me and said. "Let me get her." I thought it was a paramedic, but it was just one of the guys from the car. We locked eyes for a second until I looked away and walked back to Sarah. The cars started smoking and I knew that they could set on fire at any moment. I was surprised that no firetrucks and ambulances haven't come yet. Then I remembered that we were on a back road and the next house was a couple of miles from here. The child had dissapeared and I assumed it was fine.

"What the fuck happened??" Sarah asked. I gasped and ran to her.

"Are you alright?" I asked.

"Answer my question first." She replied.

"You went through 2 windshields." Said the guy who she landed on.

"Oh....I feel fine." She pulled a piece of glass out of her arm. She winced, but I knew it was just an act. I handed her my scarf and helped her tie it around her arm.


Sarah's POV


My vision was blurry. The last time my vision was this blurry, I was drunk, sad, depressed, and I had lost a lot of blood(thanks to my blade). I blinked a couple of times and it went away a little. I could see 4 figures above me. I recognized 1 one them, but I didn't know the others. I blinked some more and my vision came back. I heard someone crying. Off towards the trees stood 2 people. One dressed in all black clothes that were all ripped. I could tell it was guy and he had black hair. The other person was girl with orange-red hair. She looked very familiar. Two of the three people, I didn't know, helped me up.

"Uhhh....thanks?" I said.

"Sorry about your car..." One of them said.

"It was a piece of shit anyways. Do you have a lighter?"

"Uhh....here you go." I took out my cigarettes and lit it.

"I hope you don't need your car." Emily said as I took a drag from my cigarette. I blew out the smoke and threw it on the car. Both engines caught on fire and smoke billowed out into the air. Someone grabbed my arm and pulled me back. The red haired girl walked over to me.

"Sarah, are you alright?"

"Who are you?" I asked.

"Shit....she's doing it again!!"

"Doing what?" One the guys asked.

"Going into depression and...she forgets who everybody is."

Another black car drove up and a tall guy with black hair stepped out. "Jinxx called me. Are you alright?"

"Yeah, thanks for coming. This girl needs help."

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"She has these phases where she goes into depression and forgets who everybody is and...she just needs someone to help her." The redhead explained. She was crying so was the other girl. Two of the guys took them away. One of the guys put his arm around my shoulder and led me away from the burning cars.

"Is there anything you want to tell me?" he asked.

"I think I know you." I said as I stared into his dark brown eyes.

"I doubt it you seem like a girl who listens to dubstep." he said. I made a disgusted face and her raised an eyebrow.

"Who are you?"

"I'm CC." He said quietly.

"I know you. I love BVB."

"Let me guess your favorite song is Knives and Pens and your favorite member is Andy." The other guy said.

"...No."

"Ashley!" the tall guy said. "That wasn't very nice."

"Andy! Don't tell-"

"My favorite song is Nobody's Hero and my favorite member is CC!" I yelled.

Ashley stared at me in disbelief. "Can you tell me who they are?" I asked, pointing to the two girls.

"You don't know who they are?" Ashley asked.

"Your name is Sarah, right?" CC asked. I nodded. "You were just in a car crash. Those are your best friends, Emily and Hannah, right?" I nodded again. "Now they said you were falling into depression and forgetting everyone, do you drink?" I nodded. "A lot?" I nodded. "Let me see your wrists." He said calmly. I shook my head 'no'. He grabbed my arm and looked at my wrist and forearm. I wasn't wearing a long shirt, so my sleeve didn't cover them.
