Our pain will shine our light to, those who understand

Prancing across the hall my mind set, i snatched my purse quickly scribbling a note to the guys saying that i was going out and would be back by 4 pm i dashed outside the house the freezing air nipping my skin despite being wrapped under five layers. Locking the door behind myself i trudged along the path the snow crunching under my feet, my combats leaving their mark. Stood by the edge of the road blowing into my ruby palms trying to heat them up the familiar car swung round the corner making a small smile appear. Climbing into the car, the strong smell of cologne and cinnamon making the Christmas feeling set in. "Y'all ready Rudolf." What? Looking into the small mirror i noticed that my nose was red as the cold obviously had worked their magic on there. "Shut up," i joked as i settled into the hard leather.


Entering the crowed mall, desperate shoppers whizzing around to get there presents as Christmas day creeped up. I know! i know! call me organised but i completely forgot to get Christmas presents for everyone until last night when i saw Dad stomp into the house a head full of snow clutching wrapping paper. So now its Xmas eve and i'm hurrying around. Anywhore, grabbing Austin's wrist we set off on an adventure, and yes i have already got Austins' so don't panic (it's longer now :p)

Humph! Falling into a leather seat i puffed out a breathe, dropping my various bags to the floor careful to not break anything. Sheesh who knew stumbling around 100 shops crowded with desperate parents, screaming children who need to shut up and extremely slow walkers would tire you out so much! Running a hand through my purple hair, sending the small snow flakes to dissolve into my scalp i studied the menu until a chuckle brought me to my senses. Looking up i was met with the ever so famous smirk plastered on Austin's sharp face, his eyes holding that usual glow that makes my tummy flutter. Arching my eyebrow he leaned forward brushing a clump of snow from my hair his hand caressing my cheek. Lingering there for a moment my cheeks burning it was too soon before he pulled away, a middle aged waitress making her way over a small notepad and pen clutched in her hand. "Hey there sugar welcome to 'Nancys' what would you like?" her thick accent asked. "Uh can i have the um.. Cherry pie with a side of vanilla ice cream."
"Sure thang! and you?" she asked Aus as she jotted my order on her notepad, "Can i have same please!" Nodding her head she soon walked away leaving us in a comfortable silence.

Finishing my snack i pushed the plate away my stomach giving a content purr i grasped my copious amounts of bags into my lap as Austin dropped a $10 on the table despite my protests. Slinging half the bags over my shoulder Aus picked up the rest as we nipped back to the car. Shoving the bags in the trunk we set off initially back home until we came across an ice rink. Stopping immediately i got out the car, a Cheshire smile on my face.

Austin Pov

I swear her smile lights up the room, okay i know we aren't inside but she's glowing. Walking around the car i placed my hand on her waist bringing her towards the rink. Quickly paying for skates we soon were up and running, not literally that is. Placing a weary foot on the slippery sheet i waddled forward clutching to the side to prevent falling. "You know you look like a penguin." Cassara stated her perfect elbow arched, snow falling on her hair. "That so?" "Yup."Popping the p Cass began to skate away her arms out as if controlling the snow as she spun in a circle.

Wow!

Building up the courage i wobbled over, getting more confident each step when BANG! falling to the floor i slipped over right to her toes. Hearing her laugh like a maniac i looked up to find her crouched figure beside me. "You could say i fell for you." i whispered not exactly sure if i wanted her to hear, "what was that Aus?"
"Nothing nothing."
"Mkay." Taking her hand in mine she brought me up to my feet, "Your a dork you know that." she smirked, "yup!" i smiled back. After a while i began to get better, the snow now raining down on us the only lights being the fairy lights placed around the rink we began to spin in a perfect circle my hands on her hips and her hands wrapped around my neck. Coming to a halt i kept on spinning, this resulted in us falling to the floor. Landing on my back, the cold ice immediately freezing through my jumper i was oblivious because of the angel on top of me. Looking to each others eyes her blue orbs like a rich Mediterranean sea glinting in the light. Pushing herself up on her elbows a bellow of laughter left her chapped lips making me join in immediately.
