*Sammi's POV*
After leaving CC's, Jinxx showed me around. I saw where the school was and learned to stay away from the preps and people like them. I told Jinxx that I wouldn't get to comfortable with them. But I would hang with them to get some secrets from the preps and send it to the guys. This way we can black mail them. I easily pass off as a prep so that won't take much. Then we went out to get some lunch since I didn't eat when I got here. We stopped at some little diner. We chatted for a bit and then paid after we ate. Jinxx insisted that we go to the mall and look at some stuff. I ended up buying some shirts and make up. Jinxx got shoes and pants.
"This has been a productive day. I move and I have to reunite my best friend with her brother that she has no clue existed." I said to Jinxx while he was driving us to CC's to pick up Jake and then head to Jinxx's.
"Sure has. What's up with Juni and her living with CC? I haven't been told much."
"I don't exactly know. Juni never told me that she left. I'm assuming that CC and Andy know."
"I'll ask CC then." Jinxx held my hand the rest of the drive to CC's. I swear I'm falling for him. I love him so much. What if he doesn't feel the same? What if he uses me like Alex? No. I can't think like that. I'm not going back to that. Not again. I don't want to see or hear about Alex. He used me and put me through shit. I'm done.
"Sammi. What's wrong?" Jinxx looked at me while pulling into CC's driveway.
"It's just... I dated this kid Alex and he used me and then put me through shit. I felt so hated and I thought I wasn't good looking. Like I wasn't good enough. I'm just scared that the guy I like is going to do that to me." Jinxx pulled me into a hug rubbing my back.
"Don't think like that Doll. You are beautiful, smart, better than good, you're amazing. Alex just can't see that. He doesn't see what I can see. Sammi everything about you is perfect. And I'm sure the guy you like would never do that to you." Jinxx kissed my head. He must know now.
"Thanks Jinxx. You really know how to make me feel good. I love you." I blushed and held on tight to Jinxx as we walked into CC's house. Jake was out cold on the floor. CC was in his room sleeping.
"Jake. Jake. Jake." Jinxx poked him trying him to get up.
"Jake. JAKE." Jinxx got louder.
"I've got this. Don't get jealous or anything Gummy Bear." I walked over to Jake and got close to him. I lay down next to him and held him tight. Jinxx went to go talk to CC.
"Jake. Sweetie. Get up. We're going home." I kissed Jake's cheek. It usually always works. I've done it to a few guys before. It did. He got up and looked at me.
"Sammi? What? I'm so lost." Jake had his eyes half open.
"We are going to Jinxx's. Jinxx couldn't get you to wake up so I did." I got up with Jake and waited for Jinxx to come back.
"Alright." Jake got his jacket phone and keys and trudged out the door. Jake got in the car and had a straight face the entire way home. He looked at someone's house and gave a death look. It was the third house from CC's. I don't know why.
"Jake what's wrong?"
"Nothing. It's just that CC saw my dad and looked like he was going to murder my dad. I don't get it. He said my dad abused my sister and he thinks my dad did worse to her. My dad looked drunk too. I don't understand." Jake put his head in his hands.
"Jake when we get to my house I'll explain some stuff to you." Jinxx said softly. Looks like I'm going to find out something new.
Juni texted me saying she was sleeping over Andy's. Jinxx asked if I wanted to crash at his place for the night I gladly accepted. I texted Juni that I'd be at Jinxx's. It was silent the rest of the ride to Jinxx's. Jake had gone deep into his thoughts. I was looking out the window and Jinxx was driving.
We pulled into Jinxx's driveway. I held Jinxx's hand and Jake walked up to house door waiting for Jinxx to open it. Jinxx said he lived in his own house. He moved out of his parents to be closer to the band. I'm assuming he means CC, Jake, Andy and himself.
"Has anyone heard from Ashley?" Jake announced.
"No. But I'll call him and see what he's up to. He's probably out with some chick." Jinxx laughed. Jinxx opened the door and we went into the kitchen. Jake went up to his 'room'. Jinxx had two bedrooms. One was his, one was a guest room but Jake used it a lot when he slept over. I'll end up crashing in bed with Jinxx. I already know that he would offer me his bed and he'd sleep on the couch. I'll tell him he can sleep in his bed with me. I'm totally fine with it.
Jinxx went into the living room to call Ashley. I'll probably meet him later. After the phone call, Jinxx went upstairs to talk to Jake. I was told to go with him so I could hear the story. Both me and Jake are clueless. I sat on Jake and leaned my head on him since Jinxx sat on a chair. Jake didn't seem to mind. He held me close to him.
"Alright. Last night Juni called CC saying she couldn't live at her dad's anymore. She brought a duffel bag and ran to CC's. He's three houses away so it made it easier for Juni to escape. She planned on calling Andy but she couldn't risk her dad finding her far away or hurting Andy. When Juni got to CC's she was crying uncontrollably. CC got her to calm down a bit and noticed she was bleeding and covered in bruises and some… well scars. He noticed that some were recent. Turns out her dad abused her and is an alcohol addict. She was originally gonna go to Andy's but time wasn't on her side. CC called Andy and told him that Juni was with him. Andy rushed over calmed Juni down. So now she's gonna stay with CC. Then today CC saw you're dad. CC was ready to knock him out. But you stopped him Jake. And when I saw Juni Friday morning I swear to god. I thought she was your sister. She's in my violin class so I promise to watch out for her. And CC said that when Juni rushed over she told him the story of the crash. She said the last thing her mom said was 'take care of Daddy and your-' before they got hit. CC thinks that your mom was going to say your name Jake. And it makes sense. And Juni has gotten close to CC that they are like best friends. But Sammi is still number one. And CC has become Juni's 'brother.' Jake she will be okay. She's got Andy, me, CC, Sammi, and Ashley. Don't worry. You will see her soon. Just let this dad thing die down. We're here for you Jake." Jinxx patted Jake on the back.
"Thanks Jinxx. I just can't believe my dad would do that to Juni. He loved Juni so much. Why would Juni cut? So does this mean you and CC were talking about Juni?" Jake looked like he was about to cry. I held him close and have him a hug. This was a lot for him to hear.
"Yeah. CC said her story sounded exactly like yours. I swore she looked the same. The only difference is the blond in her hair and that she has a lip ring. Then CC called it Operation: Make Jake Better. Sammi was our only hope in getting you two back together. The cutting I can't say. CC isn't exactly sure."
"Well it looks like Operation: Make Jake Better is working. Thanks for telling me Jinxx. I'm glad that Juni knows and met you guys. I just wish I could see her now." Jake started to smile.
"Jake it's alright. You will see her sooner than you think. And now that I'm here to stay, I'll find out what's up with Juni. The cutting is something I might be able to clear up. I only know about the past cuts. Recent you'd have to talk with CC."
"Okay."
"Well she cut because of her dad beating her. And she never thought she was good looking. She hated how she looked. She went anorexic but she stopped that. Thank god. She was hospitalized for it three times. It's been rough for her. She basically watched her mom die right before her eyes. She's had flashbacks ever since. That's my side of this." I looked at Jake. He just hung his head low.
"If only I pushed myself harder to go find her. It wouldn't have gotten this bad." Jake got up and walked up to the wall. He leaned his head on it and sighed.
"Jake don't do it. It's not your fault. At least you know she's alive and we found her. Stop beating yourself up for the shit that happened in the past."Jinxx said to Jake. It was too late. Jake had punched the wall. He left a big hole. Jake sunk to the ground sobbing his eyes out. I rushed over and held him close. Jake really was a mess. He's taking it harder than Juni. Everything triggered him. He just needs comfort and love.
"Jake. I think it would be best if you went to bed. You look exhausted." I helped Jake up and took him to his bed. It's a full. He didn't change he just laid on top of the covers. Jinxx left so I could help Jake.
"Doll Face. Do you think you can just lay here with me until I sleep? I know you have a thing for Jinxx. I just need some company. It'd be too awkward with Jinxx and my dog Trixy isn't here."
"Sure thing hon. Let me just go put on more comfortable clothes." I got up and went to grab my pajamas.
"Jinxx, I'm gonna lay with Jake until he falls asleep. He asked me too and he needs it. I'll be out soon." I had my pajamas in my hand.
"Sure thing. Thanks for doing this Sammi. Hopefully this ends. I hate seeing Jake like this. I've been so worried about him."
"No problem Gummy Bear." Jinxx pulled me into hug. I looked up into his eyes.
"Sammi... Can I ask you something?" Jinxx held my hands.
"What is it?"
"So there's this girl. I really like her and I think she likes me. But how do I tell her 'I like you. Will you go out with me?"
"Just be honest. I'm sure that if she likes you, she'd want an honest person. Now go tell her."
"I just did." Jinxx looked at me and I blushed.
"Gummy Bear I love you so much. I love it when we hold hands and hug. I'd love to go out with you." Jinxx leaned in and we kissed. God I love him so much. I swear we kissed for what seemed like ages. Sparks flew everywhere. Ya, ya, ya it's cliché but true. He had to be the one. No one else made me feel this good about myself.
"I'm gonna check On Jake, Gummy."
"Alright. Remember you're mine." Jinxx winked. I texted Juni that me and Jinxx are together and that he's got to be the one. I went to the bathroom and changed. I took my make up off with some make up cloth I found in Jinxx's bathroom. I came out in sweats and a tank. I walked into Jake's room. He surprisingly was still awake.
"You okay Jakey?" I slid under the covers with him.
"Ya. I just can't get over that my dad would do that and Juni did that to herself."
"It's alright. She's at CC's. This is all cleared up. Just relax. Don't try any funny business. Jinxx will kill you if he sees his friend with his girl." I snuggled near him giggling.
"So Jinxxy Boy did it. He caught you up. Don't worry, I'm not Ashley. No funny business with me. Unless you're my girl. I know my limits. Thanks for staying here Sammi." Jake pulled me close and I held him tight. He ended up falling asleep. I did the same moments later.
