Juni Doesn't Have a Brother... Does She?
*Sammi's POV*
"What's the plan boss?" I sat on the couch.
"Not sure yet. But someone's coming over in a few." Juni sat on Andy who was sitting on the floor.
"Who is this someone?" I asked furrowing her eyebrow. What's going on?
"You'll see." When Juni finished speaking the doorbell rang.
"TO THE DOOR EVERYONE!!" Juni yelled. Andy and I trailed behind while she rushed to the door.
"JINXX!!!" Juni yelled at the guy in the doorway. She went and hugged him.
"Hey Juni." Jinxx hugged her back.
"Jinxx this is Sammi." Juni pointed to me.
"Hey Jinxx." I smiled.
"Hi Sammi."
"Let's go downstairs." Andy suggested.
"Alright." Jinxx said.
"So Sammi. Weird question but, Do you remember me?" Jinxx looked at me in the eye. He was so familiar. Like really familiar.
"Jinxx. Hmmm. Let me think."
"Here's a hint. My real name's Jeremy. I hung out with Jake. He called you Doll Face." Jinxx said while walking downstairs.
Oh. My. God. It's Jeremy. My Gummy Bear. Yes. I nicknamed Jinxx, Gummy Bear. That's a story for another time though. He was the one hanging out with Jake. I just can't remember who Jake was exactly related to. Juni doesn't have a brother.
"Shit. How could I forget! Gummy bear! I've missed you so much. But please tell me who Jake is. I know he's your friend. But what's the relation? And what's so important that I remember you?" I hugged Jinxx but then gave him a questioning look. Who is Jake and why did I have to remember him?
"Me and my friend CC have a really strong idea that Jake is Juni's older brother. His story about losing his mom is exactly like Juni's. Not many people lose their mom in that way and have a sister who lived and got a broken wrist and a concussion. All Jake talks about is Juni. Juni looks so much like what she did when she was little. Only difference is the lip ring and the blond in her hair." Jinxx explained.
"How did you know about Juni's accident?! No one knows about that except for my family and Juni's. Why do I have to remember you though?" I was shocked. How? Who is Jake? Juni does not have a brother. I should know. I've been with her everyday of her childhood.
"I told you Jake told me. Andy knows too. Jake is Juni's brother. Now there's no doubt about it. You need to remember me because Jake is really messed up and you're the only one who can help him reunite with Juni. Please Sammi? I can't lose Jake. He needs help and fast." Jinxx was pleading. This sounded serious.
"I will help. But you need to make sure that Juni doesn't find out. If she does then she'll go freak and god knows what she might do. All I know is that she'll do something bad." Anytime Juni finds something out and she doesn't know who that person is, she denies it and hyperventilates. She locks herself in the bathroom or her bedroom and can cut. She goes through a lot. She seems to be doing well. Andy has done a great job with her while I've been gone. I'm glad they're together. They're perfect for each other.
"Alright. Do you want to go meet Jake and start figuring out how we'll reunite them?"
"Sure. I'll tell Juni that you're gonna show me around town."
"Alright." Jinxx nodded. I went over to Andy.
"Thanks for taking care of her. I don't think she would have managed if no one helped her. And you guys are great together. I'm leaving with Jinxx to meet Jake. Apparently, I'm going to help him. My first day here and I'm already on a mission." I giggled.
"No problem. Thank you for helping Jake. He really needs it. It's starting to get a bit scary. Jinxx has been extremely stressed and paranoid. Me and the guys worry so much for Jake. Especially since he's a few cities away. We can't always get to him quickly. This means a lot." Andy hugged me and then I went to Juni.
"Jinxx is gonna show me around town. I'll text you where my sleeping destination will be. Okay? Stay safe Junicakes."
"Alright SammiKinz. I will. Love you. Have fun with Jinxx." I gave Juni a hug and left with Jinxx. When we got upstairs he held my hand. He's changed so much. He used to have blond hair. Now it's black. That's okay. He looks better with it. I'm glad I remember him.
"Gummy bear, do you think Jake will know me?" I asked getting into the passenger seat. I don't know Jake. But I'm assuming he knows me.
"Hope so. All he does is dwell on the past. He does forget but it's just this month that throws him off and then the twenty seventh he turns into a ghost. He doesn't talk to anyone. He mopes and stays home. This year it's gotten a lot worse."
"That's not okay. So where are we meeting Jake?"
"Hand me my phone. I have to call CC."
"Here you go." I got Jinxx's phone from the cup holder.
He dialed CC's number.
"CC its Jinxx. I have Sammi."

"Yes CC. She remembers me."
…
"No Juni does not know. Look are you at your house with Jake or not?"

"Good. I'm four minutes away. Bye."
Jinxx hung up and put the phone in the cup holder.
"Well that was a productive phone call."
"That's only the tip of the iceberg."
We made it to CC's house. Jinxx knocked on the door.
"How have you been? I haven't seen you in forever."
"I've been good. I missed Juni so much when she left though. I'm glad I'm here. If I didn't come I wouldn't have seen Juni or you."
Jinxx smiled and held my hand. I love when he does that. Just then someone opened the door.

"So this is Sammi? I'm CC. Jake's on the couch."
We walked into the living room. Jake surprisingly didn't notice.
"JACOB PITTS!!!" CC and Jinxx yelled. Jake freaked.
"WHAT THE FUCK WA- Sammi?? Doll Face? Is it really you?" Jake got up and held my wrists. He looked me in the eye. I looked in his eyes. Then I pulled back to get a full look at Jake. This was Jake Pitts. My Friend Jake. The one who played with Juni all the time. Oh. My. God. Juni cannot find out now.
"No. Jake. As in Jake Pitts. The one who called me doll face and made fun of my last name. You were always hanging with Jinxx." I was in so much shock. First Jinxx now Jake. I'm surprised Juni doesn't remember Jinxx.
"Yes Sammi. It's me Jake. Juni's older brother. How did Jinxx find you? I mean this is crazy." Jake hugged me and I hugged back.
"I actually moved here. I'm a few streets down from here. Juni and Andy picked me up. But what happened to you? You never came to the funereal and disappeared."
"My aunt came and took me. My nana called my aunt after Juni called her. She didn't want me to be scarred for life seeing my mom being buried. My aunt came and got me the night it happened." Jake sighed.
