Sleeping With A Friend

I was jolted awake by my phone ringing. I glanced at it to see that it was Ivy. Groaning I slowly slid out of Jinxx's arms and out the room phone in hand.

"Hello," I mumbled sleepily as I went downstairs to make coffee.

"Hey best friend, guess what today is," she practically screamed in my ear. I rolled my eyes knowing it was bound to be another holiday she made up.

"Ummm is it international I'm not going to let anyone sleep late day?" I waited in front of the coffee pot for her answer.

"No silly it's Best Friend's Day!" Her squeal of excitement woke me up more than coffee ever could.

"Ivy you know today isn't a good day. My parent's funeral was yesterday, I mean you were there," I sighed as I poured my coffee into my Tardis mug and watched it fade from one side and reappear on the other.

"Yeah but we've never missed a Best Friend's Day ever," she wined in my ear. I sighed as I stirred my coffee. I felt arms go around me and yelped before I realized who it was.

"Holy shit Jinxx you scared the hell out of me!" I smacked his arms and turned to face him. He just laughed and proceeded to pour himself some coffee.

"Wait a minute why is Jinxx there?" Ivy's curiosity could practically be felt through the phone. I sighed in response.

"Long story just tell me when you'll be here," I mumbled sipping my coffee. She told me around ten thirty and we hung up. I texted her letting her know I would explain Jinxx when we left and that got her to leave me alone for a little bit.

"So Best Friend's Day huh?" Jinxx raised his eyebrows at me and I just shook my head walking back up to my room to get ready. After a hot shower I stood inside my huge walk-in closet debating on what to wear. Finally I chose this. Afterwards I straightened my hair and did my make-up. Right at ten thirty I heard a honk come from my driveway. I grabbed my keys and my phone and headed downstairs.

"You're welcome to stay or you can leave, it's up to you," I told Jinxx as I left the house. I could hear Asking Alexandria blasting from Ivy's car and the doors were closed. I climbed in the car and we headed for the mall. Best Friend's Day consisted of a shopping spree at Hot Topic and a romantic comedy. As Ivy sped down the freeway to the nearest mall in Texas I told her about Jinxx.

At the end of the day I wound up with this outfit and nothing else. I usually don't buy much when I go out shopping and typically that annoyed Ivy but today she didn't complain because of previous events.
