New Horizons
When Worlds Collide
We planned it so that we would arrive in England on October 24th and we would be leaving November 1st. So we would be getting to spend a week with the guys.
The time leading up to the visit felt like an eternity and the plane ride even longer. It was exciting for us to finally be at the venue.
John lead us back stage as the guys did their sound check. They all looked tired and I’m pretty sure Andy was complaining about something. I chuckled and shook my head.
“Hey guys I have some fans who are here to see you.” John said going out onto the stage. My heart was racing and I just wanted to run out there and tackle Andy but I controlled myself.
“I thought you wanted us to get done with sound check?” Andy commented leaning on the mic stand.
“Well they came a long ways to see you guys.” John responded.
“Are they hot chicks?” Ashley asked with a grin.
“I would say so.” John answered.
“Well then bring them on.” Ashley said enthusiastically.
John motioned for us to come on stage. Sammy led the way, then me and Katelyn was last.
“Hey guys.” Sammi said and all of the guys looked surprised.
“Holy shit! No way!” CC jumped up from his seat behind his drum set.
“We came all the way from the US and the first thing we get is ‘Holy shit! No way!’” Katelyn said with a smirk.
Andy smiled and walked up to me. “Hey babe.” He gave me a kiss, placing his hands on either side of my face. It was sweet and nice.
“This is cute and everything but can we stop this face sucking fest and get back to sound check? “ Ashley commented.
Andy pulled away and laughed. He kissed my forehead and then went back to the mic stand.
“Aww is Purdy getting jealous?” I teased.
“Me? Jealous? Please.” Ashley responded. “I just want to get this sound check done sometime today.” He answered.

After the guys were done with the sound check we all went out to lunch.
“How long have you guys been planning this?” Jinxx asked after we ordered our food.
“About one and a half months.” Sammi answered with a big grin.
“How the hell did you guys keep it a secret? One of you always ends up telling us what you’re up to.” Andy had one arm around my shoulder and a grin on his face.
“Because none of you suspected anything.” I answered. “When you guys know we are up to something you drive us crazy until we tell you.”
“Good point.” Andy replied.
“So, Riley, how did the Asking Alexandria video shoot go?” Jake asked.
“It went awesome.” I answered. “It was a lot of fun.” I could feel the girls eyes on me. They wanted me to tell the guys about my part.
“So what did the guys have you do? Were you the one that drugged Danny?” Andy asked.
I shook my head, “No, they haven’t filmed that part yet because of some tour dates. That’s going to be for Dear Insanity, we did Reckless & Relentless. I did a part with James and Ben and then a club scene with all of them.”
“Do we get any of the details or are you going to be completely vague about it?” Katelyn asked. What a bitch, she was throwing me under the bus.
“I don’t think she should tell us.” Sammi chimed in. “I like surprises. It’ll be like some big movie reveal or something.”
I smiled appreciatively at Sammi. I didn’t want Andy to find out in front of everyone, just in case he did get mad. Sammi shrugged and winked at me.

By the time we were done with lunch it was time for the guys to get ready. They had meet and greets before the show so they had to get ready earlier. Me, Katelyn and Sammi helped them get ready.
“I think I’m going to cut my hair.” Andy said looking in the mirror after we had finished it. “It’s getting too long and kinda disgusting.”
I chuckled, “I don’t think you will cut it.”
“Wanna bet?” He said cocking his head to one side.
“If you cut your hair I’ll dye my hair blonde.” I said sarcastically. The guys liked the whole hair band look, there was no way that Andy would cut his hair.
“No, not blonde.” Andy answered. “I would go for black.”
“You really want to make this a bet?” I asked chuckling.
Andy thought about it for a second and nodded. “Yes. If I cut my hair you have to dye your hair black.”
I nodded, “Deal.” I was totally going to win this bet. “If you cut your hair I won’t be able to do this.” I pulled his hair and kissed him.
Andy chuckled, “No you won’t be able to, but I can still do it to you.” He gave me a quick kiss and then stood up so that he could start on his body paint. “Are you going to sing tonight?” Andy asked opening up the body paint.
I took it away from him and forced him to face me. “Are you going to force me?” I asked with a smirk.
“No, but I find it incredibly sexy when you sing on stage with me.” He answered watching me apply his ‘war paint’ to his abs and chest.
“You find a lot of things sexy.” I pointed out.
Andy nodded, “Yes, but I find you singing incredibly sexy…there’s a difference.”
“Mm-hmm.” I said doubtfully.
“So are you going to sing?” He asked.
I nodded, “Yeah sure.”
“Great because I have the perfect song.” He said with a grin.
“Are you going to tell me?” I asked.
“Nope.” He said shaking his head.
“What if I don’t know the song?”
“Oh you know it.” Andy replied.

The girls and I watched the show from side stage. Just before the last song I was helped with my in ear system and was given my mic. I was nervous not really about the singing part, I had gotten over that at Warped, but because of the fact I had no clue what song Andy had chosen. I hated not being prepared.
The boys started playing Rebel Love song and after the first verse and chorus Andy stopped singing and looked at me. “I’m going to invite someone on stage who knows this song very well.”
“Fuck.” I mumbled.
“Everyone give a warm fuckin welcome to my girlfriend, Riley Rose. Maybe if you guys cheer loud enough she’ll do more performances with me.” Everyone started cheering and clapping.
I smiled, as I walked on the stage and started to sing the second verse. “My outlaw eyes have seen the light, I choke on all they have to say, When worlds collide what’s left inside, I hold on tight and hear you pray.”
Andy joined in and sang the rest of the song with me and boy did the crowd seem to enjoy it. “Good night everyone. You guys were fuckin’ awesome!” Andy said and then hugged and kissed me.
“I’ve never seen you perform before!” Katelyn said practically tackling me when I got off stage. “You are definitely in the wrong major.”
I laughed, “Thanks I guess.”
“Who’s up for some clubbing?!” Ashley yelled as soon as he got backstage.
Everyone answered with some form of yes.
“Hell Yeah!” Ashley said enthusiastically.
