Stolen Heart

I sat on Andy's couch, looking at a picture of me and Jade at an amusement park, he green eyes full of joy, red tipped hair wiping around her head from the wind.
I smiled, my chest ached, and I thought of how I'd ended it,

~Flashback~

"Jade, dear?"
"Yeah Ash?"
"So... I'm leaving tomorrow." She nodded, looking down. "You can't come with me, not with your whole life hear." She nodded,
"Can I go now Ashley? I'm not done packing."
"Yeah but.... If you ever need to get a hold of me, here's all our numbers." She grabbed the paper and left, not looking at me.

~Flashback over~

She hugged me good bye, but said nothing. Her and Andy always texted, and Jinxx was always saying she was talking to him. She never texted, or called me. Jake said they talked occasionally, CC said the same. But never me.
Never me.
Andy sat next to me, and peeked over at my phone, my figure hovered over Jade's name, for the ten thousandth time since leaving New York I considered calling her.
"Would you just do it?"
"What if she doesn't want to talk to me?"
"Suck it up Ashley!"
"No." I put my phone in my pocket, just then Andy's phone beeped, I glanced at it, Jade.

~Andy~

I knew Ashley wanted to talk to her, but it simply wasn't going to happen.
Me: He's going insane wanting to talk to you.
Jade: He can deal. I'm not going to be caught weak again. He literally told me I couldn't go home with him!
M: Yeah, that was a douche move.
J: Gee, you think?
M: So what are you going to do about it?
J: Nothing.
M: No way to fix this is there?
J: No, we were just a fling.

Ashley looked over at the last message, hurt flashed through his eyes, and he stood,
"I've... got to go."
"Ash-"
"Whatever."
