Recollection

Thirty five minutes later due to typical L.A. traffic, the four of us arrived first at the local post office.

"What's this for?"

"The photographs" Ash mumbled from the back, trying to untangle the seat belt from Hunter's car seat.

Leaning on Andy, we made our way inside. Once the fee was paid, we made our way to the area where the photos were to be taken.
I had mine taken first, which proved to be the best idea. It took numerous tries to get Hunter to sit still for enough time to snap the photo. In the end, it took Andy, Ashley and their foolish faces for him to settle down enough to look directly at the camera.

We waited around until the photos were printed and we were off to the passport agency for our appointment.

Luckily, the appointment didn't last all that long. By the time we were finished in the office, Hunter made it very clear to everyone that he wanted to eat and from the wails bellowing out of him, hungry was an understatement!

Generously, a secretary allowed Andy to warm a bottle and instead of bothering the others occupying the spaces inside, we headed for Andy's car.

Andy helped me into the passenger seat while Ashley climbed into the back with Hunter feeding eagerly in his arms. Once in the driver's seat, Andy reached across and took my hand within his and gave it a reassuring squeeze. I glanced over at him and met his smile.

He then flipped the visor down on my side of the vehicle revealing a small mirror. I adjusted it so my view landed on the rear seats and tears instantly stained my eyes as I watched Hunter raise his little hand towards his father's face. Obviously beaming, Ash leaned forward and placed a soft kiss upon his tiny fingers.

Once Punk was finished and secured safely in his car seat, we were off.
