Love And Other Drugs

One Fallen Angel Down...How Many More To Go?

"You guys are fucking awesome Tampa!" Luxe heard Andy call out before the wailing from Jake's guitar covered up his voice.

The girls were all standing side stage today, as they were going on right after the guys, and it was becoming somewhat of a party. The tour was slowly coming to an end, something that most of the bands were happy about as it had been a rough one. The heat alone had them all grumpy, but there was something else in the air as well-the bands were all tired of one another. Tensions were running high on each bus and the catering tent had been unusually quiet for the past few dates. Luxe and the girls were holding strong-except for Mads.

The drummer had given in to her demons once again and as Luxe stood on the side of the stage and looked behind her, she cringed. Mads was there, farther back than the other girls, but she was there with a few roadies, downing shots of Jack in the midday sun. Luxe caught Char's eye and noticed that the blue eyed guitarist looked sad and disappointed. They had been doing so well-all of them had been sober for almost six months, but the stress of the tour and the pressure from the label was finally getting to some of them.

"I'm worried about her..." Someone said and Luxe nearly jumped ten feet in the air as she looked to her left and saw Pixie standing there, her fading pink hair pulled up and off her tattooed neck.

"Jeez Pix! Wear a fucking bell!" Luxe said, grabbing her heart and the small guitarist only smirked as she crossed her arms over her chest and looked around. A few people were there with them-a few lucky fans, some roadies and of course Kevin Lyman.

"Sorry!" The girl laughed and Luxe joined in. Andy was singing about Fallen Angels and the two girls couldn't help but nod their heads. Luxe could remember when she hated this song-she remembered when their video for it had first come out...along with a nasty interview done by Ash and Andy, slamming the girls and their talent.

"Anyways...I know what you mean. Should we talk to her about it?" Pixie asked and Luxe took her eyes away from Andy, who was running around the stage, and looked down at her friend. Pixie seemed so sad and not even her bright yellow shirt and hot pink shorts could bring joy to the small girl.

"Yes, but not now. I want her to get on stage and beat the drums...not us." The two of them shared a smile. Mads had a temper and when she drank that temper increased immensely.

Luxe turned to the stage and noticed that Andy was looking out at the crowd, his arms wrapped around one of the support beams as Jake and Jinxx played a solo. The singer seemed so happy out there and Luxe couldn't help but blush as she noticed that his eyes scanned over the crowd until finally he made it to the side of the stage and his blue orbs landed on her. His entire face lit up and he nodded to her, that lopsided smirk gracing his perfect lips.

The two of them had rekindled their feelings for one another-Luxe was pretty sure her feelings for Andy had never really gone anywhere-and they had become inseparable. Nothing had been officially announced or even said to their own bands, but it was pretty obvious to the entire tour that Andy and Luxe were an item once again. Luxe stuck her tongue out at Andy, receiving a smirk in return before he turned his head and stuck his tongue out at the crowd. The girls screamed, calling his name and Luxe only shook her head-he was such a tease.

"Stop being so fucking cute...it's making us all sick." Char hissed in her ear playfully and Luxe only smiled, shaking her head.

"I can't help it." Luxe said, her voice dreamy as she took her eyes away from Andy and turned to face her bandmate. Lulu and Pixie were also standing there, smirks on their faces like a set of identical twins.

"Ugh...I knew you two were meant for one another." Lulu said, smacking the singer's shoulder and Luxe only laughed. She had never believed in soul mates, but as she looked over her bare shoulder at Andy and caught his eye once again, she could sense that maybe she had been wrong.

"We're just friends." Luxe said, turning around again and seeing the disbelief on their faces.

"Riiiight." Pixie giggled.

"Yeah and that's what you said the last time we were on tour with them. Then you guys pretend to date, it turns in to a real relationship and then you move in with him when we get home." Char pointed out and Luxe only smiled, but she couldn't help but feel uneasy.

Luxe knew that she and Andy had come together this time around on their own-Alex had nothing to do with it shockingly-but she had to wonder if she was just setting herself up to fail. She and Andy fought like cats and dogs-even now they fought almost every day, but then he would make her laugh and she would joke around, forgiveness in the air. But could their feelings for one another survive once they got home? That was the question and as Andy and the guys finished their set, Luxe couldn't help but think it all over in her mind.

When they had been touring together-now and two years ago-Andy and Luxe had seen one another constantly. At first it had been forced, but then slowly-naturally-they gravitated towards one another. They'd had so much fun and had continued to have fun when they got back home to LA, until Luxe found herself homeless. Andy had opened his door to her and she had moved in, but that had made it worse. They saw no one but each other and soon Luxe became dependent on Andy to get her through her darkest hours.

The drugs and partying took a back seat, but then the girls left to record their ill fated album. Luxe had felt lost, alone and unfocused and it didn't help that Andy had dove head first in to his own work, ignoring her cries for help. There had been hope that the two bands would tour together in the winter, but it wasn't meant to be. The girls set off with MIW and the guys headlined their own tour with supporting bands in tow.

That was when the girls really got out of control. When they had been touring with BVB, the girls partied but it was always after the show and with the guys. Ash and CC liked to have a good time, but the other guys were a little calmer when it came to drinking. The girls took that calm energy and applied it, having fun but staying focused. The guys of MIW, on the other hand, were their party pals and the two bands could often be found drinking absinth and doing lines in the dressing room before the shows. The MIW boys could handle themselves and knew when to stop, but the girls were completely out of control.

Their album had tanked, they had been ripped to shreds in almost every review and their fans were starting to call foul. The girls used to stop by the gates after every show, saying hi to the fans and taking pictures with them, but on the tour with MIW the girls stayed in their dressing room until bus call. The fans said they had changed and honestly they had-they didn't care about how they looked to the girls who admired them...all they cared about was getting to the next party and experiencing the highest high.

Luxe had been the worst and Andy had completely shut off contact with her, which made her spiral even more. Finally things hit an all time low when Luxe took her depression to the next level and tried to become completely numb. It was terrible and sad, but it was exactly what the girls all needed. They entered a rehab program, working with the best and then they suddenly realized that they had completely fucked up what they had loved the most-their band and their relationship with their fans.

They were in a better place now, but Luxe couldn't help but wonder if starting something with Andy could push her towards her old habits when they had to be away from one another.

"Earth to Luxe..." Someone said, waving their hand in front of her face. The singer jumped as she realized that she had zoned out in to her own head. Char was looking at her, concern lacing her small features and Luxe only shook her head.

"S-sorry." Luxe said, smiling as she noticed that the girls were all getting their instruments strapped on. She needed to do her warm ups, but didn't want to leave the side of the stage.

"It's cool. We're gonna warm up...here comes your boy." Char smirked at her and Luxe whipped around, seeing that the guys had left the stage and were walking past them.

"He's not my boy..." Luxe said and Char only stuck her tongue out as she went over her frets to make sure everything was in order.

"Sure he's not..." Jake said as he passed her and Luxe only pushed his shoulder playfully.

"Does Andy know that?" CC asked and Luxe only stuck her tongue out at the drummer.

"What should I know?" Andy asked as he finally walked up to her, ending the train of sweaty musicians and Luxe only smiled at him and handed him a towel.

"Your bandmates are being mean..." She said, placing a fake pout on her lips and Andy only smiled, wiping his face off before kissing the top of her head softly.

"Yeah well you are like their little sister. How did we do out there?" Andy asked, tossing a sweaty arm around her bare shoulders. Luxe only smiled as the two of them walked towards the back of the stage area.

"Amazing, as usual." Luxe said as she moved away from Andy. He was hot and sweaty and she needed to warm up.

But she also couldn't help but go over her worries from earlier in her head.

"Good. Hey-you okay?" Andy asked, walking towards Luxe as he placed a hand on her arm. She stiffened at his touch, but then relaxed at his soft smile.

"Yeah. Yeah I'm fine. I think the heat is getting to me..." She excused and Andy only nodded, fully understanding.

"Gotcha. I'm gonna leave you to do your warm up, but I'll be back in time to see you out there." He said, walking away but stopped as Luxe reached for him. She looked so sad standing there in her bikini top with the little white skulls on it-sad, but adorable all the same.

"Andy?" She said to him, watching as the taller singer approached her and looked down, that soft smirk playing on his lips.

"Yeah?" He asked, curious as to what was pinging around in that blonde head of his.

"I-um-nothing...nothing. I'll see you when I get off the stage." She said and Andy only chuckled-the heat really was getting to her.

The two of them parted, Andy walking off to get some water and sit before they went on as Luxe started her warm up. She was pacing around the back area, her eyes staring off as she went over the scales, but her mind was not on her music. It was on Andy and what she desperately wanted to tell him, but was too scared to. She loved him, still, and she hoped that he felt the same. Being with Andy made Luxe feel light and free, but thinking about her past was depressing and Luxe seemed to be unable to push through those old thoughts.

As she paced, Luxe stopped when she noticed the small table in the shadows-the one with the Jack and shot glasses still sitting on the surface. She was tempted-her hand even reached out to grip the neck of the bottle, but she was stronger than this...she was stronger than her addictions.

But not for long...

Notes

Looks like Mads was the first one to give in...how do you all think Luxe is going to fair?

Review to see if she and Andy finally get together...again<3

@Giacobra

I'm so glad you found this little gem. Sadly this was my last full story, but I do have a few other serial stories on this site which are different from this one, but just as well written. You can find all of them in my profile<3

So I can honestly say I didn't discover this story until recently. When I first started reading it I knew it would be one of my favorites from this site. I saw the sad ending coming but dear god I was still not prepared in any way. You wrote everything so genuinely and in a way that showed an amazing range of real and raw emotions. I may or may not have been crying profusely through the last chapters. This was a beautiful, bittersweet, and amazing story and I look forward to anything else you may ever decide to write. Thank you

I'm pretty sure I've done nothing but cry while reading these last few chapters. You do a wonderful job getting the reader emotionally involved in this story, and I'm really glad that I was able to read this wonderfully written piece. Thank you for all of the time and hard work that went into this story. It is definitely one of the best that I have read in a really long time.
