Love And Other Drugs
Time For Things To End
The bus was empty, which was a good thing as none of the guys in Black Veil Brides needed to hear what was occurring in that very moment. Andy and Luxe, plus the Dolls, had all traveled to Nebraska on their way east to drop Andy off and to stay for the show tonight. Right now the Dolls and BVB were inside the venue, partying it up and enjoying their small reunion-all but two members of the bands.
Luxe and Andy had stayed behind on the bus, hoping to get some time alone before they were separated once again, but things weren't going as planned. The night before Andy had crawled in to Luxe's bunk on her bus, wrapping his strong arms around her small waist and as his hands ran over her arms, trying to get her in to the mood, he stopped once he felt something.
Track marks on the very upper part of her arm, which made him freeze. What the fuck was this? Andy had felt Luxe stiffen beneath his touch and he could almost swear she had stopped breathing for a moment or two. Instead of bringing it up, the two of them fell into a troubled sleep and then could barely look at one another the entire morning.
Now it was an hour before the guys needed to go on and the couple were finally speaking to one another. Actually they were screaming at one another and Luxe was sick of it. This was supposed to be their time together-their time to reconnect and enjoy one another and all they could do was snipe and scream.
"Andy just leave me alone!" Luxe screamed at him, her hands in the air and then they came to rest on the top of her head. She wanted to pull her hair out-she wanted him to stop asking her about her touring.
"No! No Luxe I am not going to leave you alone. In fact I'm going to ask every single member of your band exactly what you girls have been up to..." Andy said as he tried to move past her and head for the front door of the bus. Luxe growled at him, reaching out as she scraped her fingernails across his skin in trying to get him to stop. Andy's hissed as he yanked his arm away from her and just stared with his eyes wide and shocked.
"Andy don't you dare! What we do on tour is none of your business!" Luxe cried, terror lacing her words and Andy stopped in his tracks.
"It is my business Luce. You are my girlfriend and the love of my life so therefore you are my business." Andy stated as he crossed his arms over his chest and looked at her. His black hair was hanging in his face and he gently twitched his head to try and get it out of his eyes so he could stare her down.
"What I do in my free time is my business and my business alone. I haven't been pestering you about what you've been doing on tour Andrew..." She snarled at him and Andy almost fell backwards. What was she implying? Were those the words that had been sitting on the tip of her tongue for the past few days?
"What the fuck is that supposed to mean?!" He growled back at her and Luxe only chuckled as she tried to go back towards the rear of the bus.
Andy stopped her though, his hand reaching out and grabbing her wrist as he held her in place. Luxe tried to yank her arm away from him, but of course Andy was much stronger than her. She didn't want this right now-she hadn't wanted this to happen, but somehow it had. Their loneliness and worry for one another was manifesting in such a nasty way and Luxe had hoped that they could just shuffle it all under the rug and leave it there until the tours were over.
But Andy had provoked her, asking her about her marks the minute they were alone and Luxe had tried to joke it off-saying that they were scratch marks from her harness. Andy hadn't believed her-he wasn't stupid.
Luxe only looked at his hands as he held her, trying to yank her arm away from him, but Andy held tight. They played this tug of war for at least a few minutes until finally Andy's grip loosened and Luxe pressed her now sore arm to her chest. She was shocked, he had never held her like that before-he had never been so rough with her and she didn't know what to do. Instead of walking away like she had planned, Luxe turned to fully face her boyfriend and sneered at him in disgust.
"So are you going to hit me now?" She asked, her voice low and somewhat sad. Andy almost choked on the air in his lungs as he just looked at the girl before him and wondered silently what had happened to her. Luxe from a year ago would never of accused him of something like that and now here she was, staring at him like he was the monster.
"What?! No of course not! I just want you to talk to me Luce..." He said, his tone sad and for a moment Luxe felt bad. Andy would never hurt her-ever.
"Andy, I'm tired of fighting..." She said, taking a seat on the couch behind her, but Andy stayed standing. He wanted to see her for who she truly was and he knew if he sat down then he would be lost to Luxe's charms.
"I am too baby, but I'm also tired of being accused of things that I haven't done. I would never cheat on you..." Andy said and then his tears began to threaten him with their mutiny again. Seeing Luxe with Chris the night before, knowing that it was possible that the two singers had connected-it broke his heart in to a million pieces.
"I would never cheat on you either Andy." Luxe claimed, but she knew it was a lie. She and Chris had kissed-they had made out heavily a few times, but that was as far as it had gotten. It wasn't full blown cheating, but it was fucking close enough.
"I don't think I could stand it if you did baby doll. What I went through with Scout..." He stopped as Luxe had sighed heavily at the mention of his former girlfriend. What was that about?
"Here we go..." She said and Andy almost jumped back in surprise. He had tried to not bring Scout up much, but sometimes it happened and this was the first time he was getting this reaction out of Luxe when mentioning his former flame.
"What? What did I say now?" He asked and Luxe was up once again, her small frame almost against his chest.
"Saint Scout. Why do you always have to bring her up?" Luxe asked, her tone heated and Andy was stuck standing there, wondering where the hell this was coming from.
"I-she's part of my past Luce. It's hard for me to just forget she ever existed." He said and immediately regretted it. Suddenly Luxe was jumping at him, her hands reaching for his face and Andy was quick enough to throw his arms up to block her assault. Was she really trying to hit him right now? Where was all of this aggression coming from?
"Are you fucking crazy!?" He shouted at her as Andy placed one hand on her shoulder and kept his other up near his face, just in case. Luxe was snarling at him, her grey eyes filled with anger and hatred. She was so angry-so tired of being made to feel second best when compared to someone who didn't even care about Andy anymore.
"I don't want to hear about your fucking slutty ass ex anymore! I'm with you now-you should be talking about me!" She said, still trying to come at him, but thankfully his hand was keeping her at bay.
"Luce you need to calm down." Andy said forcefully and then he knew-this wasn't Luxe. This wasn't the girl he had fallen so hard for. No, this girl was a drug addict who had been kept from her drugs for more than a day because he was around and now she was withdrawing. Her anger was all chemical and Andy was scared to death.
"No! No you calm down! I-I'm fine! Just fine! You're the piece of shit who hates me!" She said and then did something they were both shocked at.
In Andy's distraction, Luxe had been able to get her arm around his and was now free to lash out-which is exactly what she did. Her tiny hand packed a wallop and her palm connected with his face and Andy felt his head whip back. It stung, in more ways than one and now they were both just standing there, staring at one another.
He wanted to hit her back-he wanted to make her hurt as much as he was right now, but no matter how angry he was with her, Andy would never hit Luxe. Instead Andy took a seat on the couch, his head in his hands as his blue eyes filled to the brim with his tears. Luxe stood above him, her chest heaving and her mind reeling from what had just happened.
She was out of control-it was obvious right now that she couldn't help herself, but she had never thought it would come to this. The one person in the entire world who loved her and she had just smacked him silly.
"Andy-I..." She stopped as Andy looked up at her, his blues eyes filled with devastation and tears. What had she done?
"No." He said through gritted teeth and Luxe knew that he was equal parts angry and sad.
"But I-" He held up a hand and Luxe flinched. If he hit her it would hurt and destroy their relationship, but she would completely deserve it.
"For the past year I have watched you destroy yourself and anything that has ever been given to you. You girls are so talented and have so much to give, but you are wasting it on drugs, booze and partying." He said, his tone dead serious and Luxe only stood there like a scolded child.
"It is so sad to me to see the person you have become..."
"Wh-who have I become?" She asked quickly and Andy only shook his head, his blue eyes closed for a moment and he inhaled deeply.
"A junkie. You, Luce, are a rock junkie who is ruining everything she has ever been given." His words stung, but they were true. Luxe felt like collapsing, but she knew that this time...Andy wouldn't catch her if she did.
"I love you-more than the moon, the stars and the entire sky that they live in, but at the same time I hate you." Wow-Luxe felt the tears roll down her cheeks as she continued to stand there and look at the man she loved. She had pushed him away-had put him through so much and now it was coming back to bite her in the ass.
"I hate what you've become-I hate the girl you are now because that girl has killed Luce...she killed Lucinda Abernathy. I can't bring that girl back-only you can, but I won't be there to see her resurrected." Andy said, his tone sad and Luxe felt her heart stop.
What did that mean?
"An-Andy? Andy what are you saying?" She was sobbing now, barely able to get the words out.
"I'm saying I'm done. It's over Luce-you and me are finished. You've pushed and pushed and I've tried to hold on, but you're slipping through my fingers and I can't hold on to a ghost." He said sadly and finally Luxe fell to the floor. She reached out, trying to grab on to him, but Andy moved away from her, tucking his legs underneath his body.
"But I love you..." She cried, her knees up against her chest as she rocked herself back and forth. Andy said nothing as he stood up and quickly walked towards the door. It was time for soundcheck and it was time to leave Luxe to her own demons.
"I love you too...at least I love Lucinda..." He said before disappearing and leaving Luxe to wallow in her own self hate.
She was gone...Lucinda Abernathy was finally gone-Alex McFadden had gotten what he wanted all along.
Thoughts? Concerns? Anyone want to kill me right now *smirks*
