Love And Other Drugs

Big Fat Liar

The bus was silent, which was nice as that was how Luxe wanted it. All of the girls were out at a nearby bar, along with the guys of BVB, including Andy. The video shoot had ended dramatically-Ashley had confronted her about his feelings concerning her drug use and Luxe had smacked him across his face. Why did he have to bring that up? Why did it matter so much to him?

Now they were in Austria and Luxe was taking solace in the vacant bathroom. The small bathroom that she was in seemed to shrink before her as Luxe bent over the toilet and took another line. Pixie had left her Coke in her bunk, hidden beneath her pillow in the false book that she kept her most treasured things in. This was the first time that Luxe had flown high by herself and so far she was loving it.

No giggling Pixie, no loopy Lulu, Char wasn't here to tell her when enough was enough and Mads wasn't here to look on disapprovingly. The grumpy drummer didn't like their drug use, but she loved to drink more than any of them and often would get behind her set after having several shots. The girls all drank, but Mads was drinking an entire bottle of Jack by herself in just a day or two.

The girls liked to party-hard-and they were all beginning to feel the strain. Luxe hadn't been sleeping well in days-she had started a terrible process of taking Valium and Ambien at night to sleep, but then she would need her uppers in the morning to function.

All of this had been hidden from Andy since their conversation about all of her problems and sadly Luxe didn't feel bad about it. She liked the way things were right now-Luxe loved her life. She had fans who adored her, a manager who would do anything to make her happy and friends who were always there for her. Not to mention Andy, who Luxe loved more than anything and that was shocking. Luxe had never thought that she would love someone as much as she loved Andy, but she really did. He was everything to her-the sun, the moon, the stars in the sky.

Suddenly she didn't feel so good and after her third line, Luxe fell down to sit on her butt and she now couldn't move. Her head felt so heavy-her arms and legs felt heavy too and soon enough Luxe found herself laying face up, staring at the ceiling above her which was swirling around like a vortex. What was she doing with her life? Was she even alive anymore? Luxe noticed that her face was beginning to feel numb. Why was her face numb? Luxe laid there-for over two hours-and all she could think about was Andy.

He was the perfect guy for her-loving, understanding and caring. He had listened to her as she cried over her past, loved her like it had never mattered and understood when she didn't want to embrace their relationship and didn't rush her. Where was Andy? Luxe couldn't help but wonder where he was and why he wasn't here to save her.

She began to itch-every inch of her began to itch-and Luxe began to roughly scratch at her arms. Why was she so itchy? Luxe felt the hot tears begin to stream down her cheeks as she scratched at her skin, drawing blood until it dripped down her arms. Spiders! That had to be it! She had spiders crawling all over her and she needed to kill them.

"Die! Die!" Luxe screeched as she slapped at her own arms, legs, chest, face and neck. Still she itched and itched-so badly that Luxe hadn't even noticed that someone was on the bus with her and was currently banging on the bathroom door.

"Stop! It hurts so bad! Stop biting me!" She was crying out and Luxe closed her grey eyes to the world, hoping that she would just die and end her pain. It felt like a thousand knives were slicing in to her skin and Luxe just wanted it to stop.

"Luce?! Lucinda?!" Someone was calling out to her, but Luxe couldn't find the strength to call out for the help she so desperately needed. Suddenly someone had their hands on her-she was being attacked!

"Don't touch me! Stop hurting me!" She said, hissing through her teeth and she kept screaming while the strong pair of tattooed arms pulled her and then held her tightly to a broad, yet skinny chest.

"No one is hurting you Luce...you're safe...you're safe I promise." The voice was low in her ear and Luxe suddenly felt her entire body go limb.

She was floating. Why was she floating? Luxe tried to lift her arms, but they were still too heavy and so she just let them fall to her sides. Where was she going? Luxe opened her eyes, the world blurry but she could tell that she was no longer in the bathroom as the ceiling had turned into the sky. Was she outside? Was there a blanket wrapped around her?

The person holding her cleared his throat as they stopped moving and suddenly Luxe felt very, very cold. She was sitting against a broad chest, her entire body moving back and forth with the breathing of the person who had come to her in her time of need. Who was this person and where had they come from?

The air slowly spread across her face, making her world seem to become clearer and Luxe finally seemed to be able to move her head. Looking up, her grey eyes were met with a pair of very sad and tear filled blue ones. The lips that were hovering just above her own were pierced and pouting, just enough and their was a slight smirk, making one side go up. His short black hair was tucked behind his ears, one long earring hanging down and dangling near her nose. Her knight in black leather had come to save her and silently and softly Luxe chuckled at her own little joke.

Andy had come to save her and now he looked like he was incredibly disappointed in her.

"Why Luce?" Was all he asked her, his voice cracking softly and Luxe felt her heart sink. Why? Why was she such a mess? Why did she feel the need to self destruct? Luxe didn't know and her head was pounding so much she didn't even want to try and figure it out.

"I dunno...felt like it." She said, her words still slurring slightly and Luxe could feel the body beneath her heave a heavy sigh. Andy was obviously upset with her and Luxe didn't know what to say or do to fix it.

"Y-you felt like it? That's not an answer Lucinda!" Andy shouted, his voice echoing out in to the night. Finally she was able to tell where they were-on top of the Dolls bus, her and Andy's favorite spot.

"Sure it is. I wanted to have some fun and relax a little bit-so I did. Pixie doesn't keep her stash a secret and she knows I'm good for it." Luxe said, sighing as she reached up to tuck a tangled strand of hair behind her triple pierced ears. She had acquired plenty of piercings now-her lip, nose, septum and her ears.

“So Pixie knows that you have a problem…” Andy said and Luxe only sighed.

The sky was so deep looking and instead of answering him, Luxe looked up at the night sky and just sat there. Did she have a problem? Probably, but it wasn’t a problem she couldn’t fix whenever she wanted to. Luxe couldn’t help but wonder-why was this such a big deal to Andy? Luxe didn’t know what was going on and at this point she didn’t care. Andy was being a buzzkill-he had been one the entire time they had been together and Luxe was getting tired of it.

She and the girls were rockstars-they were famous and had thousands of people cheering their names. Girls wanted to be her-guys wanted to throw themselves at her feet and Luxe was all for it. She loved Andy, very much, but he had had his party days and was obviously over the wild rockstar life. Well now was her time to shine and Luxe smiled to herself slowly as she looked from the sky and back down towards Andy. He looked so concerned-so worried about her-and Luxe knew that he wasn’t going to forgive her this time around. Could she be without him?

Right now? Yeah, yeah she could.

"You never stopped. Even after I told you I loved you too much to see you destroy yourself...you've never stopped." He sounded so sad and was now moving away from her. Luxe was able to keep herself held up and she watched as Andy moved away from her and began to head back inside the bus.

"No, no I never stopped, but that doesn't mean I love you any less Andy." Luxe said, hot tears welling in her eyes and he stopped to look at her. His blue eyes were on fire and she felt like she could melt beneath her stare.

"No, but it does mean you lied to me. I don't like liars Luce..." Again he sounded sad and before Luxe could say anything, Andy disappeared.

Should she go after him? Should she beg his forgiveness? No...no Luxe wouldn't chase after Andy. Instead she tucked her legs against her chest, pointed her face up towards the sky and waited for the morning to come.

Would it ever come?

Notes

Luxe is spiraling more and more. I don't think Andy can hold on much longer.

Review<3

P.s-I love seeing Andy defend himself, his bands and his fans and that guy in Vancouver got what he deserved.

@Giacobra

I'm so glad you found this little gem. Sadly this was my last full story, but I do have a few other serial stories on this site which are different from this one, but just as well written. You can find all of them in my profile<3

So I can honestly say I didn't discover this story until recently. When I first started reading it I knew it would be one of my favorites from this site. I saw the sad ending coming but dear god I was still not prepared in any way. You wrote everything so genuinely and in a way that showed an amazing range of real and raw emotions. I may or may not have been crying profusely through the last chapters. This was a beautiful, bittersweet, and amazing story and I look forward to anything else you may ever decide to write. Thank you

I'm pretty sure I've done nothing but cry while reading these last few chapters. You do a wonderful job getting the reader emotionally involved in this story, and I'm really glad that I was able to read this wonderfully written piece. Thank you for all of the time and hard work that went into this story. It is definitely one of the best that I have read in a really long time.
