Love And Other Drugs

Iris

The aftermath of their little escape plan was pretty brutal and Luxe was feeling it the worst. That night Alex wouldn't let her out of his sight-he refused to let her go in the back and read and Char had teased him then, claiming he was being paranoid. Alex had then given her a look, telling her that her shopping budget had been slimmed and from then on Char kept her mouth shut. Luxe had woken up that morning, smiling as she opened her curtain and then remembered where she was.

Before when she had woken up on Andy's bus, Luxe had been miserable and had wanted to get back to her own as soon as possible. Now that she was being forced to stay on her own bus, Luxe had woken up and immediately her heart sank. Andy had texted her the night before, but Luxe had been too sad and scared to even look at her phone.

Now she was sitting in the front lounge, putting on her boots as Alex had asked her to get ready on the bus today. She had asked him why, but he only told her she needed the privacy and then left her alone. In her boredom, Luxe finally pulled her phone out of her bag and looked down at the screen, her heart lifting as she read Andy's words.

Andy: You okay? I noticed you weren't in the dressing room with the other girls getting ready.
Luce: Fine. Alex told me to take some time to myself and get ready alone on the bus. I think he's just worried you and I are going to vanish in to the night.
Andy: That's such bullshit. I would totally kidnap you during the day time so that I could look into your eyes as we drove away.
Luce: You're such a rebel. Either way I'm all ready...care to sneak on here and keep me company?
Andy: Be there in five baby doll

Luxe smiled as she looked around, breathing a sigh as she looked down at herself and smirked. After her incident in Georgia, Alex had agreed that perhaps the corsets hadn't been such a good idea. So now the girls were allowed to wear what they wanted and Luxe had chosen one of her favorite outfits. It was a black top, with a kitten on the front and the word 'Lucipurr' across her chest. She had sliced it up, making it a crop top and now her pale stomach was exposed. Her skin tight leather pants were riding up and as Luxe stood to fix everything, the door to the bus popped open.

Luxe's heart jumped into her throat as she jumped, turning around before a smile graced her lips. Andy was walking up the steps, his hair long and the ends were stringy from rarely being washed. He looked tired, but his stage makeup was on his face and there was a soft smile on his lips. He had only his stage vest on, the worn leather shining in the fading sun coming through the windows.

His skinny legs were sheathed in a pair of tight leather pants similar to her own, but Andy's were covered in writing. They smiled at one another and then Andy had his arms wrapped around her neck and Luxe inhaled deeply.

"I didn't think I would miss you this much..." Andy said, his voice low in her ear and Luxe smirked against his shoulder. They had grown close-they probably should of always been close, but their similar attitudes and egos kept getting in the way.

"It's strange, but I missed you too."Luxe said, smiling as they broke apart and both of them moved to sit on the couch. She stuck her legs beneath her and Luxe smirked as Andy placed a hand on her knee and trained his baby blues on her face.

"So-are you really okay Luce?" Andy asked, his tone serious and Luxe only bit down on her lip, biting her lip ring as she nodded her. Her long blonde hair fell across her eyes, the grey color mesmerizing as Andy looked at her.

"Yeah. Alex is just an ass. He wouldn't even let me go to the back and read in peace last night." She laughed, pushing a strand behind her ear and Andy smirked. Alex was a worm and couldn't wait to see the slug fail.

"Is it bad that I want to punch him in the face?" Andy asked and they both shared in a laugh, but soon grew silent. Luxe just looked at him and for the first time she truly saw Andy for who he really was.

Andy made her laugh, he understood her-on a deeper level than even any of the other girls. They got Luxe, but they didn't know about her past-no one did. Sure Mads and the girls knew about her high school troubles, but only Andy knew about her miserable home life. The girls were wonderful friends, but Andy really was there for her and he didn't let her get caught up in her own head.

She had been a broken human being for a long time and finally she had gotten the chance to fix herself. But in some ways Andy was also helping with her repair and Luxe knew she would always be thankful to him for that.

"No, but please don't. After this tour you won't have to see him again...I'm stuck with him for another five years." Luxe said and Andy just looked at her. He felt bad for Luxe and the Dolls-they had gotten themselves in to a situation that wasn't going to end well.

"You know I could have our lawyer look over your contracts...see if there's anything she can do to wiggle you guys lose from Alex's grip." Andy said and Luxe only smiled before leaning over and placing a very light kiss to his cheek.

"Thanks-maybe after the tour I'll take you up on that offer." She said and then the two of them jumped as Luxe's phone began to ring.

It was Alex and he was wondering if Luxe had seen Andy. Nope-she had no clue, but she was sure he had just gone back to his own bus to get something he may have forgotten. Alex then offered to come help Luxe off of the bus and she only laughed softly to cover her wavering voice as she declined. Andy only rolled his eyes as Luxe got off the phone and looked at him.

It was time to head in for their Meet and Greet and slowly the two of them rose. Andy grabbed for her hand and Luxe smiled as they both walked out-not caring who saw them.

Quickly Andy and Luxe entered the building, both of them avoiding Alex's gaze as they passed the manager on their way to the room that had been set up. The other bands were all seated at the table and they looked up as the couple entered the room. The BVB guys looked as they always did, but Luxe smiled as she looked at her girls.

Char was wearing a tight black and purple tank top, her taunt stomach exposed as were her thighs. Her legs were barely covered in a black skirt that was gauzy and no doubt would expose her once she got on stage. Pixie and Lulu were both in dresses-Lulu's covered in tiny skull and cross bones, while Pixie had on a red and black dress that flared out. Mads was in her usual bikini top, black just like the tight black jeans that she wore on her legs.

"So glad you could join us." Alex said to the couple as they sat down and Luxe only smiled at the girls and then reached for a bottle of water.

"No problem." Andy said, his tone snarky and Luxe and the girls only giggled as Alex rolled his eyes and then moved to let the fans in.

The fans filed in, the air changing to that of excitement and glee once they were in front of their heroes. Luxe signed her name, teased Andy about his poor penmanship and then smiled for the camera as she posed with fans. Andy let his hand hover over the small of her back as they both stood on either side of each fan and Luxe longed for him to actually place his hand there.

Why was she acting this way?

Where was this all coming from? A month ago they had hated one another-even a week ago Andy hadn't been her favorite person.

But Luxe couldn't deny that there was a chemistry between the two of them. The way he looked at her-like she was the only person in the room...in the world and it made her heart catch on fire.

As the room cleared and the bands came together in laughter, Luxe and Andy gravitated towards one another. He smiled down at her-she was so much shorter than him but it just fit for her to be small. Luxe was a tiny thing-Andy could wrap his hands around her waist, but she ate like a trucker sometimes and that always made him laugh. Finally it was call time and the two singers scaled up as they walked towards the stage together.

The Dolls were playing first and as Do Your Worst drummed up and the audience went wild, Luxe and Andy shared a smile. She had missed doing this-she had needed the break but Luxe knew she had been away from the stage for too long. Andy brushed her hair out of her face, his lips parting as they pressed against the soft skin of her forehead. As she walked out on stage and stood in front of her fans, Luxe felt a rush run through her body.

She tingled all over, her eyes were bleary as she looked around her and she knew that it wasn't just because of the Valium running through her system-it was because she was where she belonged. They ran through the set and as they worked through their cover of Green Day's 21 Guns, Luxe looked to the side of the stage and smiled. Andy was standing there, his arms crossed over his chest and a smile was on his lips.

"How are we all doing tonight Orlando?!" Luxe called out as she took a sip of her water. The room exploded and Luxe only smiled as she saw that Char was getting her acoustic guitar and a stool. Quickly Luxe sat down on the stool, smiling at her bandmate before addressing the crowd once more.

"You guys are awesome! Look-every night the girls and I like to slow things down a bit and this next song is one of our favorites. Now usually I don't say much before this one, but tonight I need to let you guys know something. I haven't felt this happy in a long, long time, and it is because of someone in this room right now that I feel this way. This song goes out to him-he knows who he is and he knows he's the only one who understands me...who could ever truly make me feel like I belong."

A hush fell over the crowd as Char began to strum the guitar and Luxe smiled as she looked to her left, towards the wings to see Andy standing there, smiling at her with his blue eyes shining. He knew what this meant...he knew how much they meant to one another and it was only the beginning.

And I'd give up forever to touch you
'Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't wanna go home right now

And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
When sooner or later it's over
I just don't wanna miss you tonight

And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

Notes

Yes, yes. Alex is a douche supreme and we all want to kill him. I do love seeing how inventive you guys get with your maiming of him-it makes me laugh.

@Giacobra

I'm so glad you found this little gem. Sadly this was my last full story, but I do have a few other serial stories on this site which are different from this one, but just as well written. You can find all of them in my profile<3

So I can honestly say I didn't discover this story until recently. When I first started reading it I knew it would be one of my favorites from this site. I saw the sad ending coming but dear god I was still not prepared in any way. You wrote everything so genuinely and in a way that showed an amazing range of real and raw emotions. I may or may not have been crying profusely through the last chapters. This was a beautiful, bittersweet, and amazing story and I look forward to anything else you may ever decide to write. Thank you
