Love And Other Drugs

"Luxe I would like for you to meet Sandra, who is the head of your merchandising and this is Chris, who designs all of your t-shirts, posters and anything else Dolls related." Alex said as he introduced Luxe to the two people standing in front of her. They were still at the party and the video had just premiered, but soon it would be time for she and Andy to get on stage and have a live performance.

"It's really nice to meet you. The merch has been amazing and yet weird...seeing my face on every single t-shirt." Luxe joked and the small group laughed and Chris smiled at her. He was about her height, with a hoop through his nose and bright brown eyes.

"Yeah well Chris and I have been currently working on a line of dolls that should come out sometime right around Christmas." Sandra said and Luxe smirked. It sounded dumb, but it was kind of cool thinking she was going to have a doll that looked just like her.

"That's really fucking awesome! Wow I can't wait to see what you guys come up with." Luxe said as she grabbed for another flute of champagne from a passing waiter and sipped it slowly.


Looking around the room over the rim over her glass, Luxe could see that everyone was mingling nicely. Pixie, Jinxx and CC were all in one corner, joking about something and laughing loudly-well CC was always loud. Ashley and Char were hanging around the small bar, smirking at one another shyly and Luxe only shook her head. She knew that her guitarist best friend would soon fall for the bassists charms, but she didn't think they would make it so obvious. Jake, Lulu and Mads were talking to some of their roadies, including Toby the BVB merch kid and Tasha, the merch girl for the Dolls. Everyone seemed to be having a good time, but Luxe finally realized that she hadn't spotted Andy yet.

Finally Luxe spotted the blue eyed singer, standing against the wall nearest the stage with his arms crossed over his chest and his hands tucked under his arms. He looked uncomfortable, his lightly lined blue eyes looking around nervously and Luxe giggled as he coughed, nodding to a man in a suit who passed Andy by. Draining her glass and tugging her dress down slightly, Luxe began to walk across the room slowly. Her lips were parted slightly, a soft sigh escaping as she waltzed up to the singer and noticed that his eyes lit up once he saw her. Things were weird between the two of them-where did they stand right now?


"You look super uncomfortable right now." Luxe giggled as she walked up to him and Andy coughed as he looked at her. Her breasts were just slightly showing, the cleavage inviting and Andy was having a hard time keeping his eyes elsewhere. What the fuck was wrong with him? This was Luxe-stuck up, spoiled and not worth his time.

"Yeah well, these type of events aren't really my thing." Andy said as he uncrossed his arms and smiled at her through his thick eyelashes. Right now Luxe was feeling a slight buzz and was almost tempted to kiss him. Thankfully her brain wasn't completely mush from the champagne.

"Oh yeah and what is your thing? Dingy bars with half naked girls throwing themselves at you?" Luxe teased and Andy only looked at her. His eyes held a look of hurt in them and she knew that her playful jab had struck a nerve.

"Shit. I-I'm sorry Andy. I-I've been drinking and so my mouth is probably smarter than it needs to be right now." She quickly apologized, placing a gentle hand on one of his arms and Andy smirked. It had hurt, but seeing how sorry Luxe was made him feel slightly better. Things were becoming different between the two of them and it was obvious that they felt something for one another. But neither one wanted to admit it to the other.

"Hey, it's not like it's not partially true. But I really just like sitting around, maybe with a good book or a movie. The party life got, well, a little too chaotic for me." Andy said, smirking as he looked past her and noticed that Alex was walking towards them with some higher ups. Andy had met them all before-Beth from accounting, Scott from tech and the others...they were all the same.

"Somehow I can't imagine you just sitting around, reading, while your bandmates are out there, getting tail and getting wasted." Luxe laughed, holding one hand up to her lips and Andy smiled. He had noticed that she did that-covered her mouth when she laughed and he never understood why, but now he thought it was kind of cute. Like she was holding in a secret.

"Maybe next time you stay on the bus you and I can watch a movie-I'll prove it to you." Andy said and then straightened up as Alex approached. A quick conversation with the music manager and the couple were told that they should begin to warm up for their performance, which would close out the evening.


The couple stood hand in hand, their eyes closed as they both hummed in tune to try and get themselves ready. Jake would be off to the side of the stage, playing acoustically while Andy and Luxe stood on the small platform. Everyone in the room was beginning to gather and Luxe smiled as she opened her eyes and noticed that the girls and the guys of BVB were all standing front row, ready to cheer their bandmates on. It was going to be weird being on stage without the girls, but as the crowd grew quiet and Luxe looked beside her, she was actually happy to see that it was Andy standing there.

A hush fell as Jake began to softly strum and Luxe closed her eyes. She felt Andy place his hands on either of her arms, bringing her closer until she was pressed against his chest. His lips touched the top of her head gently and Luxe opened her eyes as she looked up. Their eyes met and he winked at her as they broke apart slightly and Luxe placed a hand against his broad chest and swallowed her slight fear.


"I wanted you to know I love the way you laugh. I wanna hold you high and steal your pain away..." Andy sang deeply and Luxe smiled as she listened to him. This song had never meant anything to her before, but now she was beginning to wonder if it could.

"I keep your photograph, I know it serves me well. I wanna hold you high and steal your pain." One of his hands was cupping her cheek and Luxe smiled as she turned her face and let her lips hit the side of his palm.

"'Cause I'm broken when I'm open. And I don't feel like I am strong enough. 'Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome. And I don't feel right when you're gone away." They sang together, their voices melding together in a way that was more personal than either of them had realized.


Luxe felt her heart pound as she began to sing her part and Andy's eyes locked on to her own. His baby blues were on fire as he looked down at her and let one finger trail slowly down the side of her face. She was so beautiful standing there before him in her tight shimmery white dress, with her blonde hair curling softly around her gentle features. He had never noticed before how gorgeous she really was, but as he looked down, Andy felt himself gulp. He had never felt this way before-not about any other girl that he had dated and it scared him a little bit.

Scout had been the love of his life, or so Andy had thought. Until she cheated on him and then he cheated right back. That had been their relationship for four years-back and forth until finally the band blew up and Andy was half way around the world nine months out of the year. One day he came home to find the locks changed and his belongings with Sammi, Jinxx's girl.

Andy had tried calling Scout, but she had been on location for a movie and they hadn't spoken since. It had made him sad and put him in a funk, but their songs Love Isn't Always Fair and Smoke And Mirrors had been written out of that despair. As he refocused and noticed that their song was coming to an end, Andy smiled as he ran a finger over Luxe's bottom lip.


"'Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome. And I don't feel right when you're gone away..." They both finished and as his voice broke and he looked down at her, Andy smiled. There was a slight bit of sweat gracing her brow and her red lipstick was beginning to wear off, but Luxe still looked amazing.

"Alright guys! Lets give it up for Andy from Black Veil Brides and Luxe from The Hollywood Dolls! Thanks for coming out and we'll see you guys on the road!" Alex was now standing in front of them and Andy and Luxe quickly broke apart.


Everyone was moving around them, gathering their things and Andy just stayed silent as he pulled Luxe off of the stage and then dropped her hand. What the fuck was he thinking? He couldn't have feelings for this girl-they hated one another...they would kill one another. Andy smiled as he rubbed a hand across the back of his neck, his long hair tangled. It was time for a cut and he was thinking something drastic-something short. They would be done with the US Tour in a few weeks and then it would be over to the UK. Maybe then it would be a good time.


"Well I guess it's time to head out." Luxe said, smiling as Andy snapped back to reality and looked around. Everyone was moving around, gathering their coats and purses off of the backs of chairs and stools. Andy knew it was time to go, but a small part of him didn't want to.

"I guess you'll be going back to your bus tonight." Andy said and Luxe only smiled, nodding and allowing some of her hair to fall into her face. The other girls had already left, heading back to their limo and Luxe knew she needed to get out there.

"Yeah, but I would appreciate the company out to the cars." Luxe said and Andy smirked as he held out his arm and she linked hers in his. There were a few people milling about, but for some reason Andy couldn't focus on any of them. He couldn't stop looking at Luxe.

"You know you really shine in that dress." He said and then felt stupid. The chill air hit him in the face and Andy had almost forgotten how cold it could be in late October on the East Coast.

"Yeah well you don't look so bad yourself." She smiled up at him as he wrapped an arm around her shivering shoulders, pulling her closer.

"You know-this has been really nice." Andy said as they stopped-the Dolls limo had been pulled up to the curb and the back door was open. There was laughter coming from the inside and Andy knew that the other girls were waiting for their singer.

"What's that?" Luxe asked and Andy only smirked as he placed a hand on her cheek and then chuckled. The girls in the car were obviously drunk-screaming for their bandmate loudly.

"Us...tonight." He was smiling at her and Luxe felt breathless as she stood there.


Slowly Andy placed his lips on to hers, his bottom lip capturing her soft ones and he sucked softly, gently as his hands wove in to her hair. This was not an act. It wasn't a publicity stunt and they were not on a stage. They pulled apart and before Luxe could say anything she noticed that Andy had walked away from her and disappeared in to his own limo.

Ugh! Such the game of cat and mouse. Andy needs to make a move...
