Char: How're things going over there?
Luxe: Eh pretty good. Just trying to get some of this packing done before we leave in a few days.
Char: True. How're you feeling?
Luxe: I'm fine
Char: Really? Because word on the street is you're not doing all that great
Luxe: Word on the street? What do you follow tabloids now or something?
Char: Pixie is a walking tabloid
Luxe: Very true
Char: But really...how're your headaches?
Luxe: Eh...I still get one a day, but I don't feel like I'm dying
Char: O.o
Luxe: Oh stop. I'll be fine for tour
Char: I'm sure...you do have a pretty cute nurse
Luxe: True...too bad I can't get him to leave me alone.
Char: He loves you
Luxe: Yeah, but he's also smothering me
Char: It's cute and you know it. I gotta go finish packing up my shit...I'll see you in a few days. <3
Luxe:<3

Luxe put her phone on the bed beside her and groaned as she looked around. Her room was a mess-clothes were all over the place, her shoes were piled in one suitcase, while her stage clothes were crumpled in another. She hated packing for tour, but the tour she was packing for-which would start in just four days-was something that she was really looking forward to.

Six whole months on the road with Andy and the rest of the guys in BVB-it was like a long family reunion except everyone was looking forward to it. The venues had all sold out, the meet and greets were all sold out and Luxe could only wish that she was feeling better. Lately she had been getting blinding headaches that left her bedridden for days. The doctors all said the same thing-it was stress, but Luxe was starting to really worry that it might be something else.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door and Luxe tried to quickly put a smile on her pale lips.

"Oh, you're up." Andy said as he walked in to the room and Luxe only nodded her head as she watched him. Andy had spent the night last night-to 'take care of her'. Really it was because the two of them were sneaking around, but wanted to keep it hush hush.

"Yeah, Char texted me and it woke me up." Luxe finally said and smiled as Andy came over and sat next to her on the bed. His lanky arms, covered in tattoos, reached out and brought her to him, holding on to her as tightly as he dared for fear of hurting her.

"Ah, do you want me to get you anything? How're you feeling? I can make you some tea..." He spoke so quickly and it was so cute-God she had missed this side of him.

"I'm fine, thanks. I think I need to finish packing though." She stated as Luxe pulled away from him slightly and Andy's face dropped. He hated seeing her like this-sick with no other options but to suck it up and live through it. Everything had been going so well and now Luxe was starting to fade away.

"I can help...just point at what you want and where you want it." He said, rushing to get up but Luxe held out a hand to stop him. Slowly she leaned in, pressing her lips against his own and Andy felt his entire body relax.

It had been so long since they had been this way-homey and comfortable with one another-and it was a relief that they could go on tour and not have to deal with the tension. It had happened slowly over the past months, when finally after shooting the girl's video for Break In, Andy and Luxe had just given in to one another. They had gone back to her place that night, staying up until the early morning hours, just talking about the random things that they always tended to talk about.

The one thing they didn't talk about was the future and Andy knew it was because they were both scared of what that conversation was going to do to their friendship and their blossoming relationship. Luxe wanted a family-a marriage with a house, a dog and a few kids. But was Andy really ready for that? He kept telling himself that he was, but deep down he wasn't so sure.

Marriage was permanent-at least for him it would be-and he didn't know if he and Luxe could make it work. He wasn't giving up on the guys and Andy knew that Luxe would never leave the girls hanging. That meant that either their bands toured together for the rest of their lives-which the fans would love-or that one half the couple would have to retire from their dreams.

The tough part was he knew neither he nor Luxe would give in and that was where the fight would happen and this entire thing they had going on would be ruined.

"Thanks, but I really think I need to get up." Luxe said and then she tried to get up, but stopped. The room spun around her, everything blurring while she tried to keep herself from throwing up. What was going on? Why was this happening now and why to her?

"Whoa there babe...just lay back. I got this." Andy said, placing a gentle hand against her chest as he pushed her towards the fluffy pillows and began to move around the room himself.

"I hate this...I hate feeling helpless." Luxe stated, crossing her arms over her chest like a pouting child.

"I know...you've been so independent for so long you've forgotten how to be gracious." Andy teased with a smirk and the only thing Luxe could do was reach out, grab the nearest thing to her and chuck it towards his head.

Andy caught the black article of clothing being thrown his way and they both grew silent as he unfolded the vest in his hands and looked down at it.

It was an old leather vest, the cracks and rips very evident, but they both instantly knew what it was-Andy old tour vest. He had worn it almost the entire time they had toured together the first time and then Luxe had taken it on tour with her when they had parted. She thought she had given it back to him when they had broken up-she even remembered giving it to Char to pass off to Ashley, but it seems the guitarist had hid it in the back of Luxe's closet.

That tour had been so much for the two singers-it had been the start of their friendship, their love for one another and yet it had also been the start of the end for the both of them. Luxe had become an addict on that tour and while she would always remember being with Andy then as a good time, there was such a thing as too much of a good time.

Andy held out the faded vest for her to take, the Batman button shining in the light and Luxe could only smile.

"I forgot I had that. I gave it to Char to give back to you..." She said. In her head it sounded reasonable, but out loud it sounded stupid and childish. Andy only smiled, folding the vest in half as he took a seat and faced the girl that he loved with all of his heart.

"She did try to give it back to me...I told her to hold on to it." Andy said and Luxe swallowed. Even then, when she had almost ruined her entire life...when she had ruined his love for her...even then Andy had still held on to her.

"Why?" Luxe asked, even though she was almost too scared to hear the answer. Things between them were better, but there would always be old war wounds...old memories.

"Because even through all of it I never stopped loving you..." He started, but then had to stop to take a moment. Andy was on the verge of tears and while Luxe would never make fun of him for crying, Andy felt like he needed to be the strong one.

"...Through all of the pain, the addiction...the hatred. I've never stopped loving you and if I took that vest back then that would of meant it was the end for us and I wasn't ready for that. It'll never be over for us Luce...this love that we share is eternal." Andy said and all Luxe could do was reach out and place a hand on top of his.

"We've been back and forth with one another for so long Andy...how can you still have faith in us?" She asked and Andy only smiled at her softly. His blue eyes were filled with so much love when he looked at her that it left Luxe breathless.

"Because from the moment I met you I knew you were different...and someone who wouldn't put up with my shit." He laughed and Luxe only smiled.

"I hated you so much...sometimes I still hate you." Luxe admitted and they both smiled. Their relationship wasn't any easy one, but it was moments like this that made it all worth it.

"You know...I don't think you were the only one who has been an addict Luce." Andy said and Luxe could only look at him in confusion. What was he talking about? What was he trying to say?

"Love is a drug...probably the worst one out there and yet it's the only one I'll stay addicted too if that means I get to be with you. I love you Lucinda..." Andy said and Luxe closed her eyes, her head resting on the pillows behind her. That was so nice to hear...she hadn't heard that in a long time.

"Andy?" She asked, still keeping her eyes closed.

"Yes?"

"Say it again..." She asked him and even though her eyes were closed, Luxe knew Andy was smiling.

"I love-" Luxe held up her hand, preventing him from finishing.

"My name...say my name again..." She said and then her grey eyes opened slowly. The headache had come back, Andy could tell by the pained look on her face, but Luxe was looking at him expectantly.

"Lucinda...I love you Lucinda..." He said before leaning in close and pressing his lips to her's. Luxe's lips were cold and her teeth were chattering, but soon enough Andy's touch seemed to calm her down and the two of them fell back against the pillows.

Her packing had been forgotten in that moment-a much sweeter and intimate time was on the horizon and Luxe silently promised herself that she wasn't going to miss a moment of it. Too much time had been wasted and both she and Andy were done seeing their love for one another fall flat.

@Giacobra

I'm so glad you found this little gem. Sadly this was my last full story, but I do have a few other serial stories on this site which are different from this one, but just as well written. You can find all of them in my profile<3

So I can honestly say I didn't discover this story until recently. When I first started reading it I knew it would be one of my favorites from this site. I saw the sad ending coming but dear god I was still not prepared in any way. You wrote everything so genuinely and in a way that showed an amazing range of real and raw emotions. I may or may not have been crying profusely through the last chapters. This was a beautiful, bittersweet, and amazing story and I look forward to anything else you may ever decide to write. Thank you

You do a wonderful job getting the reader emotionally involved in this story, and I'm really glad that I was able to read this wonderfully written piece. Thank you for all of the time and hard work that went into this story. It is definitely one of the best that I have read in a really long time.
