Love And Other Drugs

Luxe sighed as she looked around the large room, her eyes rolling so hard that it made her already aching head hurt worse. She and the Dolls were seated in the large conference room at the studio, having been beckoned there by Jay himself. There was only one reason why they would all have to be here and it was for something so incredibly over dramatic and monetary reasons.

Another tour was about to be announced.

The cameramen from AP were all swarming around them, their little red lights flickering as they passed and Luxe tried to smile. Mads flipped a few of the cameras off good naturedly and Char stuck her tongue out at one cute cameraman who kept focusing on her. The girls all knew the drill-they had been through this before and nothing had changed really. They were called in to the room, were sat down on one side of the table and soon enough their touring partners would come in. Shocked faces would be captured and then Luxe and the lead singer of whatever band it was would make an announcement and do a small interview about the coming tour.

It was old hat for Luxe, but this time she couldn't help but feel jittery and nervous. The rumors had spread over the internet that the Dolls would be touring with Heart as an opening band and Luxe was hoping it would be true. She loved Heart-they were the ultimate female rock group and it was her dream to tour with them one day. Luxe could feel her heart pounding out of her chest as Alex seemed to fidget more and more.

It was almost time.


"Are we still rolling?" Alex asked one of the camera guys, who only gave him a silent thumbs up.

"Great...cut that part out when this goes through editing." Alex ordered and Luxe sighed. Alex had been chill for the most part of the summer-he finally seemed to trust them. But now that they were getting ready to tour, the old Alex was starting to rear its ugly head.

"Alex, dude, chill." Pixie said from her seat two chairs down and Luxe only smirked. The girls had a love hate relationship with their manager-they loved to hate him and he loved the money they made him.

"Pixie can't you see that this is Alex's shining moment?" Mads teased and Alex only glared at all of them. They didn't get it, this was their make or break tour. The record company had had about enough of the Hollywood Dolls and there was talk of cutting them.


Of course the third record was due to come out and that played a big part, but Alex was desperate to recapture that old spark that the Dolls had in the beginning. As his phone beeped, signaling the arrival of the cotouring band, Alex hoped that this would be a big boost for the drowning band.


"Alright. Ladies-I would like to introduce you to your co-headlining group..." Alex said and Luxe felt all of the air become trapped in her chest as the door to the room creaked open and she came face to face with the band she would be spending the next six months touring the world with.


It was like a weird deja vu hit the room as there was squealing, giggling and yet a tension filled the air. Black Veil Brides-the band that had held the girls up and helped them through the worst of it-were beginning to filter through the room. Luxe felt CC's skinny arms wrap around her neck as he hugged her tightly, but she couldn't focus on the drummer.

Instead her light grey eyes were staring at the person behind CC-Andy. He looked shocked, but not pissed off and Luxe knew that this was it. They were finally getting to tour together once again, but this time it would be as friends instead of starting out as enemies. What did this mean for their relationship? They were off and Luxe liked it that way-it had made her life less stressful.

Andy had a way of flitting in and out of her life and when they had been dating it had made Luxe's anxiety flare up terribly. But now they were just friends and the two of them could go without talking for days and Luxe felt nothing. At least that's what she told herself, but there would always be a love there in her heart for the blue eyed singer.


"So..." Luxe said as CC moved on and Andy was now standing right in front of her. He smirked at her-that lopsided grin that make her breathing shallow. God he couldn't do that...

"So...this is going to be one hell of a tour." Andy said as he took a step towards her. Luxe looks at those skinny tattooed arms and seemed to fall right in to them. Old habits would always die hard.

"Yeah. At least this time we don't loathe one another." Luxe said and Andy only chuckled. Her entire body shook with his laughter and Luxe inhaled his scent deeply. Okay girl...calm down.

"Well I don't hate you, but I dunno...weren't you mad at me?" Andy teased and Luxe only smiled. She was still hurt by his lack of commitment, but for now they would just pretend like everything was fine.

"Now's not the time..." Luxe said with a smile on her face. The cameras were on them and she knew Alex would have a fit if the two of them acted any differently towards one another. Luxe wasn't really mad at Andy, but her frustration with him was still there, right underneath the surface.

Andy opened his mouth to respond, but Alex calling out to them stopped the singer in his tracks.

"Lets have the singers come over this way!" Alex called and the two of them only sighed and walked towards the center of the table. The cameramen were getting in to position and Luxe groaned internally-this part was always the worst.


The two singers took their seats in the very middle of the table and Luxe couldn't help but glance towards Andy. He was dressed in a new leather jacket, one she recognized from the guys recent video shoots. His hair was growing longer and she silently wondered if he was going to grow it out long once again. His smile was easy and as he looked her way Luxe felt a blush creep across the bridge of her nose.

Sitting beside Luxe, doing this entire tour thing was weird for Andy, but deep down he was like a little kid at Christmas. He loved touring with the girls and now that they were all fairly under control, Andy knew that this tour was going to really be something special. He and the guys were planning on taping a concert, which would then go out on DVD for sale sometime in the coming year and Andy was hoping the girls would be a part of it.

Besides, having Luxe nearby always made Andy happy and he only hoped they could mend some fences.


"Hey guys it's Rick from AP Mag here and do I have a surprise for you." A guy, who was standing in front of them, was saying and Luxe knew that it was now or never. The camera was panned to Andy first, signaling that he would be the first to speak.

"Hey guys. It's Andy from Black Veil Brides and I'm here with AP Magazine to announce our upcoming World Tour..." He trailed off and then the camera was pointed right at Luxe.

"With me and the rest of the Hollywood Dolls! Hey guys, Luxe here and Andy and I wanted to just come on and let you guys know what's going on with our albums and coming tours. We hope to see you out there and stay tuned after this intro to get the details on our coming tour and all of the packages." She said, a smile plastered on her cherry red lips as the camera clicked off.

"That's great guys, really good stuff. We're going to move on to the Q&A portion." Alex said as he came up from behind Luxe and pulled her light blonde hair out of her face. Andy felt his stomach tighten and he could see that Luxe was uncomfortable.

"S-Sure. Who's going first?" Luxe asked, trying to regain her composure as Alex bustled around her.

"I think we'll take turns between the two of you." Alex said as he gave the interviewer, Rick, the go ahead.

"Hey guys, Rick from AP here and I've got two very special bands with me-Black Veil Brides and the Hollywood Dolls. Andy, Luxe...how're you guys doing tonight?" Rick asked as he pushed his mic towards her face and Luxe tried to quickly form words.

"Really well." Luxe said and Andy only nodded. He instinctively tossed an arm around her shoulders and Luxe stiffened.

"Great. So you guys just announce that your bands are touring together this coming fall." Rick said and Luxe pulled back-she would let Andy answer this one.

"That's right. We are going on a US Tour this fall, ending in December before picking up a second leg and then we're going over to hit Europe and then it'll be back home in the spring." Andy answered and Luxe smiled. It had been so long since they had toured for any real length of time, but it would feel good to get back out there.

"Awesome. Now it's been a long time since your two bands have toured together. Are you guys expecting anything different this time around?" Rick asked and Luxe knew that she would get the hard questions.

"Not really. I mean our two bands see one another pretty regularly in our off time, so it really will just be another chance for us all to hang out." Luxe said and Andy squeezed her in close. He was being encouraging because he knew that Luxe was nervous about this coming tour-he could hear it in her voice.

"Now you two started dating right before your very first tour together. Any plans of rekindling those sparks this time around?" Rick asked and Luxe sighed as she avoided this killer question.

"Luxe and I are very good friends and plan to stay that way. I'll always love her more than anything and I think she knows that." Andy answered and Luxe let out the breath she had been holding.

Andy had always been so much better at answering question than she had and Luxe was tempted to blend in to the background and let him finish up. But Luxe knew Alex would never let her do and so she would continue on.

"Got it. So rumors of you two dating recently are just that-rumors?" Luxe tried to keep the smile on her face, but it was becoming more and more difficult. Could they please talk about something other than their relationship status?

"Like Andy said, we're really great friends who make cameos in one another's videos. We'll always care about one another, but for now the rumors are just that...rumors." Luxe answered and it was obviously not what Rick was looking for.

"Yeah, the girls have a new video for their single American Boys coming out and I think the fans will be really happy to see how it's turned out." Andy said quickly as he tried to merge the interview in to something more about their music and less about their private lives. Luxe was thankful for that and smiled at him deeply.

"Right. So what can we expect for the coming tour from both bands?" Rick asked and it finally seemed like the two singers could answer questions that would make neither one of them uncomfortable.


The interview went on for some time and during the entire thing all Luxe could think about was the coming tour with Andy and how it was going to turn out.

Hopefully not in disaster.
