Love And Other Drugs

Laughter rang out in the small side room at Shenghigh Noon and as she sat there and looked around, Luxe couldn't imagine being anywhere else in that moment. She was with the people who meant the most to her-her bandmates and of course the guys from BVB. Tonight was the night that they had all decided to get out and perform some karaoke and it was a much needed thing. Luxe sighed as she sat back in her chair and watched as the next duo-Pixie and CC-walked up on stage.

The recording process had proved to be just as she remembered it-long and stressful. Luxe and the girls had been working day and night-if they weren't in the studio then they were together and talking about what needed to be done in the studio. Char had taken up a permanent residence in Luxe's guestroom, which annoyed Andy slightly because they were never alone, but he also hadn't stayed over in two weeks. The girls had recorded and tracked five songs already and they were gearing up to track another one the following two days.

Luxe hadn't actually wanted to go out that night and had refused to change out of her pjs and in to the outfit that Char had laid out for her on her bed. But the guitarist wasn't giving in-this was going to be a fun night and everyone needed to be there. So with much hesitation and dragging her feet, Luxe put on the skinny jeans, Lucipur tank, leather jacket and topped it all off with her boots. Char then insisted on doing her hair and so now Luxe had her long blonde hair pulled back into a tight ponytail that hung down the very middle of her back.

All of the girls looked amazing and they all seemed to be having a really great time. The best part of the night-no one was drinking and no one was complaining about the fact that there was no drinking. That had been the one thing that Luxe had been reserved on because she knew that she, along with Lulu and Mads, would be tempted to take the party to the next level. Instead they were all sipping either water or soda and everyone was still smiling.


"You doing okay over there doll?" Someone asked her softly and Luxe turned, her breath leaving her chest as she came face to face with Andy.


Andy was currently letting his hair grow out-which was black once again-and Luxe was liking the look of things. He had most of the hair on the sides of his head shaved, but the middle and bangs were long and gelled to hang in his face. Andy's hair was ever changing and Luxe only smirked as she thought back to every style he had ever tried. The long hair teased beyond belief, the shorter hair that broke fans hearts, the long hair that had set the tone for their third album and even the nearly shaved blonde style he had rocked during Warped Tour.

All of those styles had suited him and Luxe was curious as to what he would do next.


"Yeah. I'm shocked everyone is having such a good time though..." Luxe said as she looked around at the crowd. They were all seated around small circular tables-Jinxx, Jake and Mads together while Ashley, Char, Pixie and Lulu were hanging out at another table. Andy and Luxe were on their own, but close enough to the other two tables so it didn't feel like they were segregating themselves.

"Why?" Andy asked as he sipped at his soda and looked at her with the straw still in his mouth. Luxe laughed-Andy always knew how to make her smile.

"Because..." She stopped as Ashley had looked at her then. He, along with Char, Pixie and CC was still in party mode and she had been afraid that they wouldn't have fun. That they couldn't...

"Because no one's drinking? I get how you would feel that way, but trust me when I say that this is not the first time the BVB boys have partied dry." Andy assured her and Luxe only raised her eyebrow at him. She didn't know about any of this and wished that he would elaborate.

"O-kay..." Luxe said and Andy smiled, ran a hand through his hair and then leaned in.
"Remember when Sammi left Jinxx?" He asked and Luxe only nodded. Of course she remembered-it had been so sad and it had happened right before they had gone on Warped Tour.

"Yeah..."

"Well Jinxx almost drank himself in to a coma. For a little while we just let him go at it-he was miserable and he had just gotten out of a failed marriage, but then he started fucking up. Missing practice, talking about quitting the band and he even threatened to kill himself." Andy said and Luxe felt a sadness enter her heart. Jinxx was such a kind soul and she couldn't imagine him feeling that way about himself.

"What did you guys do?" Luxe asked, even though she already kind of knew the answer. She and Andy hadn't been speaking that spring, but she had heard of him and the guys rallying around their devastated guitarist.

"We all dried up-for a little bit atleast. It was hard and it didn't last long, but it was long enough for Jinxx to pull himself out of his depression and get back on the right track." Andy explained and then the two of them grew silent as the massive amount of caterwauling came from the small stage.

CC and Lulu were belting their hearts out to Sister Christian from Night Ranger and Luxe found herself smiling brightly. Right before them had been Char's rendition of Heart's Alone, which had been good if a little pitchy. Andy and Luxe had both agreed that they would stay away from the stage tonight-they spent enough time behind a microphone and wanted to let their bandmates have a good time. Luxe clapped along with everyone else as CC and Lulu took a bow.

While a couple not in their party got up on stage and screeched along to Sonny and Cher, Luxe looked around at all of her friends. Honestly they had become more like a family to her and even though there had been some rough patches, disagreements and name calling, she couldn't imagine her life without them. Everything was going so well for the girls, Andy and Luxe were working out better than ever, and Luxe was looking forward to starting a new chapter in her life.


"You guys gonna get up there and sing?" Ashley asked them from across the two tables and both Andy and Luxe shook their heads in unison. They were enjoying sitting in the audience and letting their bandmates have the spotlight for the night.

"Nah." Andy said as he leaned back in his chair and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. Luxe only smiled and leaned her head against his arm.

"We decided we wanted to sit this one out." She explained and Ashley only stared at them. He got it, but he wanted to get the two singers up on stage and watch them goof around.

"Oh come on guys!" Char said, leaning towards them and Luxe only shook her head. She was singing every day in that recording studio-it was time for a break.

"No-you guys have fun up there. Andy and I are enjoying watching you guys get up there." Luxe explained and Char only frowned at her.

"Luxe! Luxe! Luxe!" The guitarist began to chant.

"Andy! Andy! Andy!" Ashley chimed in.


The couple only looked at one another, shrugged and moved to get out of their seats. This could be fun or it could be a disaster.
