Daughters Of Darkness Reign

The key to keeping a man is to be everything that he wants, needs and desires in a woman. Keeping yourself well groomed, well dressed and well mannered are key components to making your man stay with you. Below we have listed five easy steps, hints and tricks to not only keeping your man happy, but keeping him interested.

1. Dark Colors. Avoid dark colors at all costs. Men like their women to be bright, happy and a ray of sunshine when they are around. Vampy colors such as deep reds, purples and blues should be left to women who are still stuck in the early 2000's. Instead of wearing a dark red lip, try something more subtle like a nude or light peach color. No man wants his lady to look like she just got out of her coffin.

2. Loud, Brash Behavior. Men like their women to be just that-lady like and prim. Ladies should avoid loud situations, especially in public and should always be aware of the tone of her voice. Instead of jumping on top of the bar and dancing around when out, try to sit in a quiet corner, sipping your wine while the desperate girls dance around. Fighting in public is also a huge no-no and should be avoided at all costs. Even if that means taking the blame when it may or may not be your fault.

3. Visible Tattoos and Piercings. Men don't want their women to look like men and the worst thing a girl can do is to cover herself in tattoos and piercings. If one must get a tattoo, a small delicate design on the inside of the wrist or on the lower back is preferred as they are easily hidden. Piercings should be removed by the time one turns twenty and the closed holes should be covered and hidden with a strict makeup routine.

4. Heavy Makeup. Men like a woman with a more natural look and heavy eye makeup says anything but. Ladies should beware of heavy dark eyeliner, tons of mascara and brilliant and outlandish colors. Urban Decay has a set of lovely pallets that offer and range of neutral and subtle colors. Avoid bright lipsticks, or lipstick at all and your nails should either be painted in a light color or done up in a classic French manicure.

5. Lady-Like Language. Refrain from using any profane language in front of the man you are with. Men like a woman who is lady like and proper, not a woman who using sailor language at the drop of a hate. Appropriate language makes a world of difference and shows a man that you are capable of expressing yourself in more intelligent ways.

Luxe groaned as she tossed the Cosmo Magazine in her hands to the table in front of her and looked around. They were in the middle of recording-Char was in the booth working on a track for a possible song that they were trying to write-while the other girls were all sitting around the main room waiting their turn. They were still working on demos, but with seven songs written and ready it was almost time to actually start recording.

Luxe was tired of being told how to look according to these stupid magazines. The only reason she had picked the issue up this morning at the gas station on her way in was because Jennifer Lawrence was on the cover. She had flipped through the pages throughout the entire day, only stopping once she landed on this absurd article. It included pictures of examples of what not to do, including a girl dressed almost exactly like Luxe was that day.

A loose fitting t-shirt with a plaid long sleeve around her waist, black high waisted shorts and her Docs. She was the epitome of what not to do according to this article and Luxe was irritated. Why should she dress, act or change herself for any man? Andy loved her for who she was-no matter how she looked or what she wore. It was such a terrible way to make girls feel and Luxe knew that she needed to address this article somehow.

"What's eating you Luxe?" Someone asked her and Luxe realized that she was just sitting there and staring in to space. She was still pretty angry at this article and she was just trying to think of ways to make her opinions on it known.

She could write a counter article, send it in to a magazine like Rock Chic and see if they would be willing to print it, but that wouldn't draw enough attention.

"This fucking article..." Luxe said as she passed Pixie, who had addressed her, the magazine and waited for the guitarist to read it. Lulu was sitting on the back of the couch behind Pixie and both girls grew silent as they read.

"What the fuck is this shit?! That's bullshit!" Pixie finally said as she whipped the magazine closed and tossed it across the room. It landed in a pile and stayed there as none of the girls wanted to pick up the offending magazine for awhile.

"I know. I've never really thought about how I should look when it comes to guys. I could really fucking care less." Luxe said, crossing her tattooed arms over her chest and looking around. Mads was asleep on the couch opposite her, but the singer knew that her drummer friend would agree.

"I mean I like looking cute for them, but if my cute isn't good enough then they aren't good enough."Lulu said as she pulled her deep red hair off of her neck and closed her eyes. The demoing process was a long one and the girls were ready to get things going.

It was almost summer time and they had so much to do to get ready for a fall tour in support of their album.

"I think you loves need to take pen to paper and write it out in song." Jimmy said as he turned in his large leather chair and faced the group. He had been silent until now, but his words held a heavy meaning.

"I could probably work something out to fit with the riffs Char's working on now." Luxe said as she reached towards the cluttered table in front of her and grabbed her notebook. It was almost completely full and she would soon need another one-this red notebook held all of their songs from their previous records and EPs in it. Kind of sad to think about.

"Good. Sounds like she's got something heavy going on in there." Jimmy said with a smirk as he turned back around and let the girls get to work on the song.

Luxe usually wrote with Char, but Pixie was pretty good at chiming in and Lulu was always good for a hook or a chorus line. Soon all of the girls were huddled around, Luxe's hand flying across the page as Pixie nodded and Lulu 'mmm hmmd' while she wrote. A few tweaks on the chorus and one switch of a key word here and there and after ten minutes the girls had the start of a song. Luxe smiled as she set her pen down, happy with what they had so far. Silently she read it back to herself, smirking as she couldn't wait to get in the booth and let it rip.

We came to battle baby
We came to win the war
We won’t surrender
Till we get what we're lookin for
We're blowing out our speakers
There goes the neighbourhood
A little scissor happy
Little misunderstood

We can turn you on
Or we will turn on you

Daughters of darkness
Sisters insane
A little evil
Goes a long, long way
We stand together
No we're not afraid
We'll live forever
Daughters of darkness
Daughters of darkness

I'm so glad you found this little gem. Sadly this was my last full story, but I do have a few other serial stories on this site which are different from this one, but just as well written. You can find all of them in my profile<3

So I can honestly say I didn't discover this story until recently. When I first started reading it I knew it would be one of my favorites from this site. I saw the sad ending coming but dear god I was still not prepared in any way. You wrote everything so genuinely and in a way that showed an amazing range of real and raw emotions. I may or may not have been crying profusely through the last chapters. This was a beautiful, bittersweet, and amazing story and I look forward to anything else you may ever decide to write. Thank you

I'm pretty sure I've done nothing but cry while reading these last few chapters. You do a wonderful job getting the reader emotionally involved in this story, and I'm really glad that I was able to read this wonderfully written piece. Thank you for all of the time and hard work that went into this story. It is definitely one of the best that I have read in a really long time.
