Finally the last day of school! I can get away from all the bullshit and drama fro at least two months, the only down part is my step dad.... I hate him.

I slowly slugged my way home after a horrible day at school, Last day I guess people can get away with what ever they want.. I'm pretty confident I passed all my exams but I won't know till the report cared gets mailed... half way home this group of kids started harassing me, I got called fat, and emo attention whore, all that jazz.

When I finally got home my father started to yell ''YOU UNGRATEFUL LITTLE SHIT! WHY ARE YOU SO LATE?" I backed away and shrugged ''YOU GOD DAMN MUTE BITCH" he yelled before pushing me into a lass coffee table causing it to brake ''GET YOUR GOOD FOR NOTHING FAT ASS UPSTAIRS!'' he retorted before walking out and slamming the door... Oh yeah I forgot to mention I'm mute... not because anything bad happened I'm mute by choice I just feel that noting I say is too impotent to bother any one with.

I get upstairs and look in my full length mirror 'fat' I whispered to myself 'that's all you are is fat' I kept whispering until my phone went off signaling that I got a text or its dying, I looked at it and it was a text from my brother
CC: Hey mini me

Caitlin: heya I cant wait till tomorrow

CC: I know eight moths is to long to be away from you

Caitlin: Yah I miss you and the other crazy ones lol

I was debating weather or no to tell him about our step dad. I decided to go with my gut and tell him, He needs to know.

CC: Crazy ones? Wow lol

Caitlin: Yeh... CC I need to tell you something, But please don't spaz out okay?

CC: I'll try not to, But go ahead

Caitlin: Our... Step dad... he... he um

CC: He um what... What does he do!?

Caitlin: When he drinks, He hits me and mom...

CC: HE WHAT!

Caitlin: You said you wouldn't freak!

CC: THIS IS BAD I HAVE THE RIGHT TO FREAK! Why the hell didn't you tell me sooner?

Caitlin: Because... He.. He checks my phone every now and then, through his, he said if I tell
anyone he would kill me... So now with you knowing... There might be a chance of survival... I waited this long because It felt safer...

CC: Jesus Christ Catie! When I arrive tomorrow you better be Oh fucking Kay or I'll kill that bastard!

Caitlin: I'll try to be... What time are you coming for?

CC: I should be there around 10:00 AM

Caitlin: Okay... Shit I gotta go... He's back... Love you!

CC: Love you to stay safe. <3

I didn't know how safe I was after telling CC About this... But I hope to god he gets here before I die tomorrow.
Just then I heard a loud thump from downstairs and a High pitched scream "No! Please derrick Stop" my mom cried, I ran down stairs to see what was going on, I saw Derrick holding my mom by the throat and for the first time in three years I talked ''PUT HER DOWN YOU SICK BASTARD!" I shouted his head whipped to my direction and released my moms throat but dragged her by her arm "what the fuck did you just say" he asked getting closer I could smell the alcohol off his breath, he slung my mother down and came at me full on punching me every chance he could get "Oh yah this is for telling Christen about what happens" he said before he wrapped his hands around my neck squeezing as hard as he could "GET. OFF. MY. DAUGHTER!" My mom shouted, he then stopped what he was doing and spun around he lunges towards my mom and slams her against the wall, her head hitting a sharp corner of a picture frame. She insistently went limp and I knew then and there he had killed her, the only thing I could think of was to text CC...

Caitlin: CC. HOUSE. DERICK. DRUNK. MOM. ME. HURT NOW!

CC: On my way! Hold in there

I know my text didn't make sense but I was in a rush, After my derrick stepped away from my mom he came for me... All I remember after that was punches kick's sirens a whit hot pain in my stomach I remember hearing my brother screaming my name and yellin at derrick, I remember being told to stay awake... I was placed on a stretcher and a mask pushed fake air into my lungs it also made me sleepy "CC I love you" I mumbled loud enough for him to hear. That's about all I remember the rest is a blur...

We were driving to a motel for the night until we head to my moms tomorrow, it was about 15 minute drive to the house, suddenly I got a text from Caitlin and my heart sank.
Caitlin: CC. HOUSE. DERICK. DRUNK. MOM. ME. HURT NOW!

CC: On my way! Hold in there

"Guys we gotta go to my house NOW!" I yelled jumping up from my spot on the couch making my way to the cockpit and told the driver to go to my house.

I got back to the main part of the bus and got bombarded with questions "What the hell why are we going to your house, we have reservations" "yeh we spent money on this man" they kept coming Finally I yelled "MY FUCKING SISTER AND MOTHER ARE GETTING BEATEN TO DEATH!" every one fell silent until any piped up "What do you mean?" he asked with a shocked tone "I found out today that derrick beats my mom and sister, and hes about to kill them" just then the bus came to a stop and we all ran off and into my house, as soon as I entered I saw my mom crumpled in a corner barley breathing and then saw derrick draw a knife om my sister "NO!" I screamed running at them but I was to slow the knife pierced her stomach. When I got to him I slung him backwards Andy and Ash took care of the rest "Caitlin, can you hear me?'' I asked cradling her upper body in my arms keeping pressure on her wound, Jake went and helped our mom and Jinxx called 911.

"Caitlin please be okay... GOD DAMN IT I'M SO STUPID" I cursed to myself, I saw Caitlin's eyes drifting close "No!, Catie stay with me" she fought to keep her eyes open, I heard the sirens and the paramedics lifted her onto a stretcher and put a mask on her I heard her mumble "CC I love you" then she went limp. I let out a blood curdling scream tears flowing down my cheeks , I looked over to the two medics helping my mom but they were pulling a body bag over her I then just crumpled into a ball shaking and sobbing, My mothers gone and my sister might not make it... Why me?

After everyone cleared out of the house Andy lifted me to my feet "C'mon were going to the hospital" he mumbled as he walked out the door.. The ride there was silent and everyone was tense.

As soon as we got there I ran in "Caitlin Coma! What room is she in?" I hollered at the receptionist she gave me a quick glance then looked through her papers "Room 1408'' I gave her a thankful smile and raced down the hall '1406, 1407. 1408!' I ran in and saw the doctor placing the mask on again "H-how is she?" I asked in a low voice "She lost allot of blood so we had to do a blood transplant, She should be awake soon, she may be confused just tell her what happened, she is also extremely under wight ... When she does wake up push that button and I'll come check on her" he told "O-Okay.." he gave me a small smile and walked out...

I sat down beside my sister and held her hand "God I'm so sorry, this is all my fault I should have been there from the start, I should have taken you with me when I had the chance... I just.... I'm sorry" I squeezed her hand tighter and I felt her squeeze back "Catie?" I asked hopeful "mrugrffinrgrr" she was waking up.. she will be okay "Can you talk to me?" I asked in a hush tone she opened her eye's and shook her head slightly "Why not?" I asked confused, She started to move her hands in the air but stopped noticing my reaction, I handed her a pen and paper and she wrote down why she doesn't talk...

'I stopped talking three years ago, because I felt I have nothing to say that's important... I always get made fun of so I just keep my mouth shut'

I looked at her with a sad expression, And the the doctor came in "Ahh glad to see you awake MRS. Coma how are you feeling?" she held a thumb up to show she was okay "do you remember what happened?" she then shook her head and the doctor began explaining.

The doctor was explaining what had happened half way through realization hit me, derrick, my mom, the beating everything. I began to breath irregular and my vision was blurring.. Grate a panic attack, My breathing quickened as did the heart monitor I was hooked up too... "Caitlin?! Caitlin Are you okay??" CC asked in panic I shook my head and wrote down on the paper he gave me 'panic attack' I sprawled on the paper a look of realization set in and he locked hands with mine "Okay I need you to breath, Caitlin Breath" CC said looking me in the eyes, but every time I tried to take a breath my lungs would collapse in on me, he pulled me into his chest and hugged me tight "Breathe angel breathe" He pleaded, I needed to tell him about my medication, I guess its now or never "cl-cl-clonazepam" I managed to gasp out CC looked up at the doctor who immediately rushed out to get my medication, before the doctor came back I collapsed on the ground not breathing and shaking badly “Breathe Caitlin Come on.” He blew on my face like you would do to a baby. Just as I was about to pass out I took in a breath, the doctor came in with a glass of water and my medication, he handed me my pill and the cup, after I took it I felt the pill kick in almost instantly "all better?" CC asked I just nodded.. AN hour later i was discharged.

We made our way back to the house and I packed my things, since mom is dead and I'm NOT living with derrick I'll be living with CC... "you ready to go Squirt?" he asked putting an arm around me I breathed deeply "I guess so" I whispered faintly "Okay... Lets go" and just like that, we walked away from our child hood home... Just like that it's now a distant memory...

The funereal and wake for our mother is in a week and were stuck making the plans... that's just grate...
