Knives & Pens

Since everything went well with Pandora and Skye that next day the hospital was releasing them, and the one who was driving them home was Ashley. Pandora finished dressing Skye in the outfit she had grabbed before leaving the house when Ashley entered the room, a smile on his face.
“How’s my little Purdy Girl?” Ashley asked, approaching Pandora. Skye’s head was against her mother’s shoulder and her eyes were barely opened, they were a dark green. Darker than her mother’s. In response to her father’s question she rubbed her face, Anne had explained she would do that but they had to watch her nails, she may scratch herself so Pandora’s plan was to buy baby gloves.
“She’s good, just looking around.” Pandora replied, Ashley smiled and kissed his daughter’s forehead.
“Are you ready?”
“Yep, will you carry the bag?” Pandora asked, yes she was walking out of this hospital like she didn’t have a baby. She was really sore down there, it even hurt to go to the bathroom. But she figured she would have to get used to it since she was taking care of a newborn. A nurse followed them out to Ashley’s SUV that was parked in front of the hospital, she showed them how to get Skye buckled up safely in her car seat. Once Skye was buckled up Pandora sat in the backseat with her, Ashley hopped into the driver seat and started the engine, then he drove off carefully.
“Ashley?”
“What’s up, is she okay?”
“Yes she’s fine, but what happened between you and Collin?” Pandora said, Skye tried to stretch in the car seat, her legs stretched out and her arms and a small cry came from her mouth. Pandora knew she was about to cry, the expression on her face told her so. “Shush, don’t cry baby.” She said softly, Ashley ground his teeth. So Collin was a tattletale? He had to go running to Pandora to cry about what Ashley said to him? Ashley shook his head. Pathetic.
“What did he say?”
“That you said some really rude things, he wouldn’t tell me what though.” Pandora told him, trying to keep Skye happy before they got home. She was probably hungry or needed to be changed, maybe both.
“Pandora, don’t worry about it. Seriously, it’s not a big of a deal.”
“Ash, it obviously is.” She said then Skye burst into tears and the conversation ended, it was great timing for Skye to do that so Ashley thanked her, when they arrived at Andy’s, Ashley parked behind Aryana’s car. Ashley grabbed the car seat and the bag, giving Pandora free hands since she was still sore. She opened the door and stepped inside, hearing voices in the living room.
“We’re home.” Pandora announced, she walked into the living room to see Aryana’s head laying in Andy’s lap as he ran his fingers through her blonde hair with a smile.
“Where’s my niece?” Andy asked, Ashley appeared and sat the bag down on the floor.
“I want to see her!” Aryana said, lifting up. Pandora sat down in the recliner and Ashley sat the car seat in front of her, she unfastened Skye and slid her hands under her, lifting her up gently as she grunted a bit. “Oh my gosh, she’s so small.” Aryana said, fangirling over the baby. Pandora moved over to the couch beside Aryana so she could see Skye better.
“I’ll buy her from you both.” Andy said, getting a look too with a smile.
“Sorry Andy, but my baby isn’t for sale,” Pandora told him, he frowned. “Would you like to hold her?”
Aryana looked at Pandora, surprised she asked her. “Can I?”
“Of course you can.” Pandora said, protectively and gently moving Skye into Aryana’s arms.
“Oh my gosh, she’s so cute!” Aryana said, she held Skye for a minute until she started crying so Pandora took her back to feed her. She sat in the recliner, a blanket giving her privacy. Ashley had taken Andy into the kitchen to talk, Pandora didn’t know what about but she was curious in so many ways.
“Was she worth it?” Aryana asked with a smile, Pandora smiled big and nodded.
“So worth it.”
“She’s absolutely adorable, I can tell you that.” Aryana said with a smile, once Skye was done feeding Pandora laid her against her shoulder and started to pat her back to get her to burp since she couldn’t on her own yet.
“Pandora, I gotta go,” Ashley said, standing beside her. “I have to check on my dogs. Please call if you need me, at anytime.”
“I will, thanks for driving me home Ash.”
“The least I can do,” he said, then he leaned down and kissed Pandora’s cheek then he kissed Skye’s forehead. “Bye guys.”
Pandora waited until she heard the door close then she looked at Andy.
“Were you talking abut Collin?”
Andy sighed, he couldn’t lie. “Yes.”
“What’s wrong with him?”
“Pandora,” Andy began, looking at her. “Ash is afraid Collin will be a better father than he is and Collin will play the dad part when he isn’t around and if Collin is around Skye more she’ll think Collin is daddy and Ashley is just somebody that comes around.”
“I won’t let that happen.” Pandora said, he nodded.
“I told him that but he’s still afraid.”
Pandora knew she would have to talk to Ashley about that eventually, she didn’t want him to worry about that. But she understood and she was glad he was worried, it told her he cared and wanted to be a father.

I fell in love with Skye in this chapter in the very beginning, writing this chapter made me want a baby lol. <3
