Fallen Angels

The next morning she awoke in bed alone. She stretched and got up; figuring Andy had already gone about his duties. She got dressed slowly and walked to the kitchen and grabbed an apple and headed to help Jalex, as she called them. Jack and Alex were always side by side; you couldn’t have one without the other. She thought it was super cute. Apparently they had been together before Andy was even born, and he was over 500 years old. They were both great with any weapon, and could build anything you needed. They were very handy, but for angels, they liked to make a lot of dick jokes. Alese still didn’t quite comprehend that.

Alese had been so busy with Jalex that she didn’t really have time to get to know the others. She knew a little about them from what Jalex had told her. Ashley was one of Andy’s best friends and could perform angelic magik. CC was another of Andy’s close friends and he was an amazing strategist. Jinxx was still learning magik and he was closer to Andy’s age and they were close. Jake was one of the best warriors, she had seen him with a bow and with a sword and his skill blew her mind. Then there were the Fuentes brothers. Mike was a great strategist like CC and Vic had more magik knowledge than any of them. Jalex had told their story to her and she looked at Vic with great admiration for what he had done.

Those were the guys Andy kept close and put in charge, the others she didn’t really know because they were always running errands. She walked out of the house and to the battle arena Jalex had set up. When she got there she was shocked to see Andy talking to Jack and Alex. When he felt her presence he looked to her and smiled. He walked over to her and put his arm around her, planting a kiss on her forehead.

“Umm hey Andy what are you doing here? I figured you would be making out battle plans and what not.”
“Not today, I put Mike and CC in charge. I didn’t want to leave you alone after what happened last night.”
“I’m fine baby. We have a war to win, you do what you need to and don’t worry about me.”
“No I am taking the day off to help train you. Jack and Alex have been doing a great job, but they have been going easy on you.”
“Easy? Have you seen the bruises?”
Andy laughed. “Also I have a gift for you.” He told her motioning to Jack to hand it over. He grabbed it and handed it to her. “I had them make this just for you. Its custom and one of a kind. Its lightweight and made for speed.” She unsheathed it. It was the most beautiful sword she had ever seen. She re-sheathed it and gave Andy a huge hug then went to give Jalex a hug.

“Thank you guys, it’s so beautiful.” She told them admiring it.
“Yeah well it’s not a beautiful as my dick.” Jack said, earning a slap from Alex. “What numb nuts meant to say was that it is some of our finest work. I hope it serves you well.” She nodded and looked to Andy. “Do I get to test it out on you?”

His response was to un-sheath a white sword she had never seen before. He smirked, “It seems we both have new toys.” Before she could respond, he lunged. She got her sword out just in time to block. They went at this for about thirty minutes before her stamina drained and she couldn’t raise her sword.

She was pretty proud of herself, she had gotten a few good hits in, but in minutes they were healed again. She noticed that he healed super fast. She also noticed that she healed quicker than when she was human.

After she dropped to the ground in exhaustion, Andy sheathed both of the swords, handed them back to Jalex, thanked them, picked her up and took to the air with her in his arms. He landed outside of their house, but instead of taking her inside, he took her to the pond behind their house.

“Andy what are you doing? That water is freezing!” She yelled as he ran towards it like a lunatic. Before she could even scream, they were submerged. However, instead of the water freezing it was warm. As soon as they hit the water she could feel her muscles relax and all the exhaustion she was feeling seconds before just wash away.

She surfaced, followed by a very happy Andy. He was all smiles. She swam over to him and slapped him on the back of the head.
“Ouch! What was that for?” he asked, faking hurt.
“For hurling me into what was supposed to be freezing cold water.” She pouted.
“I had Vic work some magik on it before he left. Not only will the temperature adjust depending on the weather, it also helps relive muscle fatigue.” He smiled, proud of himself for thinking about it.

She splashed him in the face for being so full of himself. He just laughed and pulled her in his arms.

Notes

Okay so this chapter was kind of just a relaxed kinda thing because I felt like it. Just so you know, both the swords are from SAO, she got Asuna's Wind Fleuret, and he got Kirito's other sword (yes Andy will duel wield) Dark Repulser.
