My eyes fluttered open to the usual darkness. I heard people moving around, and some people talking quietly outside the door. I sighed, and snuggled further down into bed, placing my pillow over my head. I heard the door open, and someone bussle in. "Morning Hailey." I heard Susan say, and I sighed, pulling the pillow off my head, and pushed it to the side. I felt her take my hand, and help me sit up. I rubbed my eyes, and made sure they were completly open before feeling susan place a tray onto my lap. "Breakfast." She said, and I opened my mouth, feeling a spoon full of coco pops enter. I ate as much as I could, until she finally took the tray off my lap, and placed it to the side.

"Right then, time to get dressed." She said, helping me up off the bed. "I'm ok from here" I said, loosening her hands. "Are you sure?"
"I'm sure."
"Ok then, call me if you need me." She said, and i heard her walk out of the room, and shut the door. I felt my way around the bed, and towards my closet. I opened it, and grabbed a tee-shirt off the top rack, and jeans off the bottom, and pulled them on. I felt my way back over to the bed, and sat on it, crossing my legs, and rubbing my eyes. I started out into the darkness, and sighed, lying back down onto my bed. This was going to be another boring day. I listened to people walking outside the door, and heard Susan and another man named Darren talking. "I think it's cruel that we have to keep her in here, it's not her fault." Susan said. I slowly got up, and pressed my ear against the door. "Yes well, its' her great aunt that wants her in here."
"Yes but why? She's no bother to anyone, she's just blind."
"Yes but it's the eyes. There the biggest give away of her condition. Her great aunt dosent want to give her any destress."
"Well keeping her incased in here for the rest of her life."
"Well it's not our place to judge, you know the drill, her aunt will get us in prision if we try and get her out."
"Yes but it's still not right, she should be able to live at least."

I heard Susan walk off, and I sighed feeling my way back to the bed, and sitting on it. I knew I was a freak.Thats what I heard my aunt call me one time when she left the room. Freak. It didn't effect me. Thats why I was in here. I wasnt normal. How normal is it to have one green eye and one black. It was all de to a condition I had since I was a baby. My mother had it, and it had been passed down to me. All I ever wanted was to be normal, to be loved.....to see....thats all I ever wanted....

I sighed, as I changed into my PJ's and got into bed. "Goodnight Hailey." Susan said. "Night." I said, and I heard her switch off the light, and shut the door. I sighed, and sat up in bed, listening to the distant sound of cars. I sat there, my eyes growing heavy. Suddenly there was the sound of the small window at the far end of my room clicking open. My head shot towards the sound, and I heard it click a few more times. I gulped, trying to move, but I couldent. I had forzen in fright. I heard boots on the floor, and I stayed still, not making a sound. Whoever it was, walked into my bed,and fell over it, landing on my lap, causing me to let out a small yelp. "Shit." I heard a dep voice say.........
