For the love of my father

"So where are we?" I ask as we walk into what looked like an apartment building.

"Its a surprise you'll see in a minute." he says laughing

I pout a little and follow him into an elevator that takes us to the third floor. As we exit Andy leads me to one of two rooms on the floor. He hands me a small key that is black with the Black Veil Brides star on it , then he hands me a BVB lanyard with two keys on it .

"Whats this for ?" I ask taking it from him .

"well the one I Handed you is for this door." he says . : and the other two are a house key and a key to your car.

"A CAR ?!" I stare stunned ." thats way to much Andy…."

" Its a car I already had that you can use whenever. "he tells me "Now open this door" he says pointing to the door we were in front of .

I open the door slowly only to be amazed by an art studio . There was all new canvases and easels and shelves of every paint an artist could ever want. There was also a two in one desk that turns into an easel,On the desk there was brand new sketch book and a set of soho urban artist pencils! The walls were white like canvases and my mind was already going wild with ideas for them. Paint brushes every shape and size are held in a huge container on a small shelf near the biggest easel . Lastly there was a cabinet in the left corner closest to me that was opened up to show clay, extra paints, pencils , sketch pads, a canvas bag and a million other things. Next to it was a small couch to relax at.

"Do you like it?" Andy says in my ear .

I turn around still in shock.

"Like it? No I don't like it . " Andy frowns as I say this "I LOVE IT!!!" I finish excitedly.

He laughs at me." Well good! I would of shown you the first day you moved in with us but it took about a week to find all the things i figured you wanted and put it all in here ."

"Im speechless… this is for me? Why ?"

"You are a part of my family now and you have some serious talent in that little body of yours." he answers laughing at me more.

My eyes tear up a little. This was beyond the nicest thing anyones ever done for me.

"Hey Im not that little !Im 5'8" ! " I say trying to not cry.

"Yeah little compared to me " he says smiling.

I hug him holding him a little longer then normal. His arms snake around my shoulders as he hugs me back.

"Thank you so much" I tell him letting go.

"You're more then welcome Baby doll."

I laugh at the nick name .

"Baby doll?" I ask

"Yeah it seems to fit you hahaha." he replies .

I pull out my sketch book from my purse and pull the picture I drew in the car out signing the bottom. I hand him the picture.

"You wanted to see it." I tell him as he takes it .

"This is beyond belief … This looks more like a photograph then a drawing." He says slightly smiling .

"Well its for you." I say blushing .

He takes my hand and squeezes it for a second .

"Thanks I love it." he says . "Now lets go watch a movie?"

I nod and lock the door behind me putting my key on my lanyard . We go down the elevator in silence and head to the car. I play with my key chain and get in the car as Andy looks up movies on his phone .

"Want to watch a comedy or scary movie? " he asks .

"Either I like both types."

"Okay then both " he says smirking as he starts the car and starts driving to the cinema .

The first movie we watch is 'The quiet ones" which wasn't as scary as it seems. After we refill our sodas and watch "Haunted house 2" which is so stupid it was funny . I couldn't stop laughing .The movie finishes and we follow the crowd out of the theater .

"Ill be right back " Andy says as walks toward the mens room.

I wait near the exit for Andy to finish.A man in his early twenties eyes me . A smile creeps up his face as he sees I'm alone. He walks up to me slowly . He was about 6'2" with dirty blonde hair and sludgy green eyes. His tight fitting grey v-neck hinted on an amazing body.

" Hi ." he says as he reaches me .

"Hi ." I reply shyly.

" Im Kain. Whats your name gorgeous ? " he asks smiling .

" Nice to meet you." I say politely "Im Kait."

"Would you like a raisin ?" he asks holding a box of chocolate covered raisins towards me . I smile and shake my head. "Then how about a date?" his smile gets bigger .

I couldn't hold back the laughter that escapes my lips .This man has found my weakness for cheesy pick up lines.

"How about it?" He asks .

I look at the restroom that Andy is in and back to Kain. Andy has Juliet and would probably never look at me twice , though I'm in love with him he will never feel the same. I debate if I should go on a date with this handsome stranger . I pull out my phone.

" Sure , Whats your number ?" I ask .

I didn't think it was possible but his smile got even bigger as he pulled out his phone and we handed them to each other to put in our numbers . When I finish I hand him his phone back and he hands me mine which i put back in my pocket.

"So what would like to do on our date " he asks .

Before I can answer a hand pulls me and I fall into someones arms.I look up to see a very pissed off Andy . Uh -oh .

"Who's this?" Andy asks not so nicely .

" Uh Im Kain , and you are?"

"Andy , her father." Andy glares at Kain who looks like he's ready to throw a punch.

" Im not your daughter Andy ." I whisper looking down. He will probably always think of me as that.

" According to the state of California I am " He tells me not looking away from Kain.

" I was just asking your uh daughter on a date ." Kain tells Andy .

"Leave her alone." Andy says venomously with a hint of jealousy .

He pulls me outside and to the car. Was Andy jealous ? I smile just a bit before I remember him saying he's my father.When we get to the car he gets in without a word and drives home . When we finally get home I get out of the car and walk inside without waiting for him.

"Kait wait. I'm sorry for going off like that I just…I just guess I was a little jealous… I don't know why but I was." he says quietly .

I turn around and look at him . I walk slowly up to him and hug him .

"Its okay . Thank you so much for today ." I tell him .

I look up at him and he looks down at me his face inches closer and my heart beat quickens . His lips are a hair breath away and just when he's lips are going to touch mine the front door opens to reveal Juliet in a crop top and shorts.Andy's lips land on my cheek and I curse Juliet . Who knows what might of happened if Juliet didn't interrupt .

"Im going to bed … night " I say letting go of Andy and push past Juliet.

I end up just laying in bed listening to Andy and Juliet talk well mostly Juliet who goes on and on about her singing career. Andy tries to tell Juliet something and she ends up yelling .Looks like trouble in paradise . Their fight last about twenty minutes before someone slams a door. My door opens and I act like I'm asleep . The person sits on the end of my bed and kisses my forehead.Then a blanket is placed over me. Andy's voice infiltrates the silence .

" Good night Baby doll…"

He gets up from the spot he just occupied and there is the soft clicking of my door being shut . Andy's distinct smell still lingers and my eyes grow heavy till I cant stay awake any longer.

"Goodnight White Rabbit…" I whisper into my empty room as darkness infiltrates my vision.
