For the love of my father

My phone vibrates in my hand and I check it to see

'Im around the corner be there in a minute'

I don't know how I got so lucky to have a friend like this. One that would ditch a huge party they were at just to pick me up on the side of the road . Thats true friendship. I got another text but ignored it . I knew who it was and I wasn't going to talk to him or tell him where I was.He hurt me and I didn't want to talk to him just yet .A shiny red car pulls up to the curb next to me and I get in .


"Thank you so much ... I'm so sorry to bother you so late at night and interrupt your party " I say looking at my hands trying to hold back the tears.



"Its okay hun ! Of course I'd come get you after a hard night . What are friends for? " Nikolia tells me rubbing my back.


"Where do you want me to take you , Home? " She asks starting the car back up.



I shake my head . " No um my art studio..."



I give her directions but other then that the car is silent . She pulls into the studios parking lot and walks with me up the stairs . I unlock the door and walk into my art studio that Andy got me for a present .. I shut my eyes and take a big breath.



"Woah this place is amazing !" nikolia says behind me as I walk to the couch and sit down .



"Oh I almost forgot! " She says throwing some clothes at me . I look at them and laugh a little. There was a batman tank top and a matching pair of corset tied batman panties as well as a pair of slipper socks.


" I figured you'd need something to wear if you weren't going home and figured that we were around the same size ." she tells me sitting next to me.


She slowly lifts my face and turns it into he light seeing my obviously bruised face . A small gasp escapes her lips . I pull my face away and look down . She walks to the small fridge in the corner of the studio .She rummages through it till she finds a frozen water bottle and then rummages through my cabinet of art supplies till she finds a wash clothe . While she's doing that I turn around and change into the pjs that Nikolia brought me. Wrapping the towel around the bottle she places it on my cheek and the simple gesture breaks the dam and causes me to cry . I tell her everything from Andy and Juliet adopting me to Juliet hitting me . When I finish my body is exhausted and I curl up on the couch which thanks to Nikolia I find out is a pull out .


" You want me to stay with you?" Nikolia asks yawning .



"No but thank you for everything . I'll be fine" I tell her as I start drifting off to sleep .



"Call if you need anything !" She says the sound of the door clicking is the last thing I hear as I drift off.



I feel someone next to me on the bed then a cold substance on my cheek . An Ice pack. Nikolia probably came back to check on me but I was to tired to open my eyes. My face hurt .



I mumbled "thanks" causing it to hurt a little more .I start drifting off to sleep again.



"You're welcome " I hear Andy say. WAIT! Andy?


My eyes snap open and meet his .
