A Lovers Dance - Jash

A/N: This is possibly the longest one shot I have ever written. And possibly the most romantic my god. Anyways, I used classical music to help me, yes haha funny I used classical music but it helped get the feeling of romance going. I highly suggest you listen to Brandenburg Concerto No.3 in G Major, Allegro as Ashley and Andy enter the estate and highly recommend listening to Adagio for Strings, Op 11a while reading the part where Ashley and Jinxx dance, it's beautiful trust me, I cried. Anyways enjoy this super duper long one shot.

"Ashley would you hurry up, we'll be late!" Andy called.

"Alright, alright, you're so impatient sometimes Andy," Ashley grumbled.

Andy smirked as he stood by the door way in a black tuxedo, black dress shoes and a blue tie, his hair carelessly pushed to one side, leaving the other side shaven slightly and exposed.

"You look great by the way," he added, walking over to Ashley.

"Same to you," Ashley replied, fixing his red bow tie before looking at his full attire.

His black tuxedo fit nicely on him, the tail of the coat sitting just at the back of his knees and black cowboy boots that fitted his style more. His hair was straightened nicely and a small line of eyeliner circled his eyes.

"Right, shall we?" Andy asked, throwing the car keys to Ashley.

"I take it I'm driving then," Ashley laughed.

"Of course, now remember this is a very important party, lots of people will be there, try to mingle. Maybe even try to serenade some poor bastard but do not fuck this up Ashley. CC's been planning this for a while, he wants it to be great," Andy lectured.

Ashley rolled his eyes as they sauntered down the stairs to the car park.

"Yes Andy," he mumbled. "But why is it at such a fancy place, I mean, it's totally unlike CC," Ashley continued.

Andy chuckled as they reached the car and got inside, Ashley starting the engine and then pulling out of the car park before setting off to CC's estate house.

"You know what his new woman is like, she's really posh and rich, she seems to prefer fancy formal parties, trust me man, you'll fit in just by dressing in a tux," Andy informed.

"Oh sure, then I'll swear or something and I'll get stared at," Ashley grumbled, turning a corner.

"Who the fuck cares?" Andy laughed in response.

Ashley shrugged as he reached for the radio and switched it on. Bon Jovi started playing and Andy looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Since when were you into Bon Jovi man!" he exclaimed.

"There is a lot you do not know about me yet Andrew Biersack my so called best friend," Ashley joked.

"Ass," Andy retorted.

Ashley chuckled loudly as Andy started to sing along to the music, Ashley joining in on a few words. He wasn't overly excited for the party, but hopefully he met a few interesting people and didn't stand around like an idiot. Little does Ashley know, thinks would take an unexpected turn.

~~~~*~~~~
Upon arrival, an older man in a neatly ironed grey suit opened the door for Andy, before walking to the other side and opening the door for Ashley.
"Shall I park your car sir?" he questioned.
Ashley hesitated for a moment before handing his keys over after being jabbed in the ribs by Andy.
"Please don't scratch it," he warned.
"Of course not sir, we care highly for the guests happiness," the man replied.
Andy ushered Ashley to the doorway where a security guard stood with a clipboard and a pen.
"Names?" he asked deeply.
"Andrew Biersack and Ashley Purdy," Andy replied happily.
The security guard searched down the list before crossing their names off and opening the door.
"Have a lovely night," he responded, giving them a smile.
Ashley nodded in thanks as he and Andy entered the estate, immediately dropping their jaws as they gazed around at the interior. Marble floors, marble stairs, textured walls, fountains and paintings decorating the walls and large groups of guests.
"Holy mother of shit," Ashley gasped.
"Dude, CC got lucky man," Andy laughed.
In the distance, music was playing, an orchestra of twelve people sat upon a small stage by the window. Classical music was clearly the obvious choice to be played. Ashley grimaced, he was never a fan, but he thought he should just try to get used to it somehow.
"Ah, Brandenburg Concerto No.3 in G Major, Allegro, lovely," Andy mused.
"You listen to classical music?" Ashley chuckled.
"Well, you know that Jake listens to it sometimes," he replied.
"Of course, speaking of him, where is your lover boy?" Ashley teased.
"Should be here somewhere," Andy responded with a shrug.
"Excuse me darling, might I interest you in a dance?" a voice cooed.
Andy raised an eyebrow as he turned around, facing a masked man in a black tuxedo with a purple tie.
"I'm sorry I'm waiting for someone," he replied, waving his hand slightly.
"Is that someone me?" they questioned, taking off their mask.
"Jake!" Andy exclaimed, a smile spreading on his face.
Ashley started to laugh as he watched the couple embrace and share a quick kiss. Ashley wishes he could have something as good as Jake and Andy do, but his people skills were rather rusty, especially when it came to romance.
"When you two love birds are quite finished!" someone yelled.
Ashley turned around to see CC walking towards them in a white suit complimented with a black bow tie.
"CC!" Ashley yelled.
The pair embraced in a brotherly hug before pulling away as Andy gave CC a warming hug also.
"So, what do you guys think, nice place huh?" CC asked.
"Definitely man, you hit the jack pot," Andy joked.
CC laughed as he grabbed some classes of champagne from a waiter's tray, handing them to his three friends.
"Christian, honey, I need you to come and meet some people," a timid voice spoke.
A short brunette walked up to CC's side and placed her hand on his shoulder.
"Sure darling, uh, Jennifer these are my friends and band mates, Jake, Andy and Ashley," CC introduced.
"Lovely to meet you," she replied with a smile.
"Same to you," Jake answered, giving her a slight nod.
"Well, I'll see you guys sometime soon, feel free to mingle," CC informed as he and Jennifer turned to leave.
Ashley turned back around to face Jake and Andy, giving them a raised eyebrow.
"She is posh," he laughed.
Andy and Jake laughed as Andy looped his arm through Jake's.
"So about that dance?" Jake questioned.
Andy rolled his eyes as he looked at Ashley for permission and Ashley nodded.
"Go and enjoy yourselves" he chuckled.
Ashley watched as the remainder of his friends walked off to do their own thing, and he was left standing, alone, like an absolute tit. He sighed deeply as he walked into the next room where the food table and orchestra were. Another song began to play and Ashley decided to stand and watch, gazing his eyes across the orchestra. His eyes landed on a particular person, a man, playing the violin. His jet black hair was tied back into a ponytail and he was sporting a navy blue suit with a black tie. Ashley watched him closely, watching how the bow glided along the strings perfectly and how his features seemed so focused on his instrument. He finally opened his eyes briefly and Ashley gasped at how blue they were.
"Oh my god," he whispered.
The violin player opened his eyes again, ending up locking eyes with Ashley, sending him a small smile his way. Ashley felt the heat rise up to his cheeks, he was dazzled by this mans smile and how he was focused on him, yet still played professionally. Ashley swallowed the lump in his throat before taking a large sip from his champagne and turning as he disappeared back into the crowd. He left his drink on an empty table before retreating down a hallway to find the bathrooms. He turned down a few hallways before reaching the bathrooms and going inside. There was no one else inside so he quickly went over to the sinks and looked at his reflection. His cheeks were still flushed and his eyes had turned to a lighter brown.
"What the hell," he cursed.
He took in a deep breath as he lent against the vanity and tried to calm himself down. Ashley had never felt such a feeling before, his stomach in knots, a flutter in his chest and blushing bright red.
"Come on Ash, you can do this, you can stay calm, just...try to avoid the guy, it's fine," he hummed.
Ashley pushed himself up as he straightened his suit, his hair and his cuffs before exiting the bathroom. He looked around trying to remember what way he came, this house was like a maze.
"Lost are we?" a voice spoke.
Ashley tensed as he turned around and caught sight of those gleaming blue eyes again. It was him, the violin player, the one he spotted earlier. His voice was calming, slightly posh and quite velvety.
"I, uh...yes, sorry, could you help me?" Ashley questioned.
"But of course, shall we?" the man asked.
He extended his hand, his long fingers held together delicately, a soft smile on his face. Ashley felt the heat rise in his cheeks again as he offered his hand, which the violin player politely took.
"This way," he issued, gently pulling on Ashley's hand.
They walked swiftly down the hallways, turning corners, hands still firmly grasped together. Upon reaching the end the violin player looked up, only to then move backwards, pulling Ashley with him as he pressed himself against the wall, Ashley being crushed against his chest. The man dipped his head as two figures walked past, engaging in conversation before the voices disappeared. Ashley got free of his grasp and gasped for air as he looked at the violin player, flustered from ear to ear.
"I am terribly sorry," he whispered.
"Who the fuck are you!" Ashley exclaimed.
The violin players brows furrowed, Ashley clasping his hands over his mouth.
"I am so sorry," he squeaked.
"My name is Jeremy..." the man replied.
"Excuse me?" Ashley asked.
"My name...it's Jeremy, you asked who I was, did you not?" he questioned, tilting his head to the side.
Ashley moved his hands away from his mouth, dropping them to his side. He scuffed his boot on the floor before looking back at Jeremy. His eyes scanned his own and Ashley felt that familiar heat again.
"Well, nice to meet you Jeremy, I'm Ashley," he spoke, holding out his hand.
"Enchante, Ashley," Jeremy replied, taking Ashley's hand as he placed a gentle kiss on his fingers.
Ashley blushed furiously, looking away as he chuckled slightly at how cliche this was for him.
"You laugh, why is this, Ashley?" Jeremy asked.
"Oh nothing," Ashley replied, with a smile.
Jeremy smiled as he closed his fingers around Ashley's and pulled him closer.
"My favourite song is about to play, care to dance?" he questioned with a grin.
Ashley hesitated, before his features softened and he nodded in response. Jeremy smiled, showing his gleaming white teeth as he held up Ashley's hand, his other placed behind his back as he walked them out to the wooden dance floor centered around the food tables and throngs of people.
"People are staring," Ashley mumbled.
"Oh tosh, they can stare all they want, you, Mr Ashley, are mine for the night," Jeremy whispered, stopping in the middle of the dance floor.
Ashley blushed again, his hair falling in front of his face before it was moved away by Jeremy's free hand.
"Adagio for Strings, Op 11a.," Jeremy mused.
Ashley felt Jeremy's arm slip around his waist, resting on the small of his back as his other hand took grip of his hand, extending it slightly. Just from personal instinct, Ashley slipped his arm up onto Jeremy's shoulder, gazing into his eyes. Jeremy tilted his head forward with a slight bow as the music began to play.
"Stay silent," he whispered.
Ashley nodded as they began to glide across the floor, spinning twice before Jeremy spun Ashley outwards, their arms extending. He brought his dance partner back into his arms, Ashley looking up as Jeremy's arms lay loosely around his waist, a soft smile of his face. Around them, people watched as they danced together, the music, calm, romantic...beautiful, as if they were already lovers. Jeremy spun Ashley back around to face him as they stood closer now, eyes locked, soft grins on their faces. Across the hall stood Andy and Jake who were gushing about how sweet it looked.
"I-it's so be-beautiful," Andy sobbed.
"You're such a pansy babe," Jake laughed.
"Shut up I'm emotional!" Andy laughed through tears.
Jeremy and Ashley spun in a huge circle around the dance floor, concentrating only on each other, like they were the only ones in the place. Ashley was spun around twice again before Jeremy let go of his hand, spinning away from him, picking a rose from a nearby plant before waltzing up to Ashley. As the song neared its end, Jeremy dropped to one knee, presenting Ashley with the rose, taking his hand as he kissed it softly, Ashley grinning from ear to ear as the music came to a gentle halt. There was a moment of silence before applause erupted around the pair, not a dry eye in sight. Jeremy looked around him, smiling before looking back at Ashley, getting up onto his feet again.
"Shall we step outside for a moment?" he asked, holding his hand out again.
"I'd love to," Ashley whispered.
~~~~*~~~~

Out on the balcony of the estate, Ashley lent his back against the concrete rail, his eyes fixated on the new man he had just met.

"Ashley?" Jeremy asked, turning to face him, his hands behind his back.

"Yes Jeremy?" Ashley replied.

"Are you by any chance familiar with poetry?" he asked.

"Not exactly," Ashley answered, playing with the red rose in his hand.

"May I?" Jeremy questioned, placing his hand on the rose.

Ashley let go of the rose as Jeremy stood back from him, keeping his eyes on his new romantic interest as he smelled the rose.

"A lovers dance is patient and kind
It feeds your heart, soul and mind
It brings you joy and happiness within
Knowing that he or she will be with you
Through thick and thin." he spoke.

Ashley smiled as he rested his hands on the rails.

"A lovers dance can be recaptured
Only if the partners heart has not been
Fractured." Jeremy continued, moving closer to Ashley.

Ashley proceeded to smile, a blush spreading across his face.

"A lovers dance has no mistakes
It plays no one not even games.
A lovers dance is slow and kind
Easy to learn but hard to find.
A lovers dance." Jeremy recited, his body now pressed against Ashley's.

"That was beautiful," Ashley whispered.

Jeremy hummed softly, trailing his hand down Ashley's arm to his waist. He placed a chaste kiss to Ashley's cheek and could sense that his face was burning red.

"Ashley you are by far the most beautiful creature I have ever laid eyes on," he soothed in Ashley's ear.

Ashley scoffed as he let his hand grasp to the material of Jeremy's coat, a smile plastered on his face.

"Ashley..." Jeremy whispered.

"Hmm?" Ashley hummed peacefully.

Jeremy pulled away as he stared into Ashley's eyes, his other hand moving to Ashley's cheek.

"Allow me to repay you with a favour for startling you in the hallway," he purred.

"That being?" Ashley questioned.

With no further questions, their lips were locked, Ashley's knees going weak as a flourish of passion soared through him. He had never been 'wooed' so much in his life, but he enjoyed it. Jeremy's arm gripped around Ashley's waist, pulling him closer as the kiss turned from gentle to passionate, what one would call a 'French kiss'. It all seemed fast paced for Ashley, did he mind? Not at all, he felt as if he and Jeremy, just clicked, as if he was going to become a part of his future. As they pulled away, Ashley fluttered his eyes open, a small smile on his lips as Jeremy caressed his hand on his cheek.

"Shall we have one more dance?" Jeremy questioned.

"How can I say no?" Ashley asked, sending a wink Jeremy's way.

"You are flattering Ashley," he chuckled.

"Hmm, only just," Ashley whispered, taking Jeremy's hand in his. "Come on, you can meet my friends along the way," he continued.

And with that, Jeremy and Ashley danced the night away, until each of them had to bid farewell. Jeremy promised to be in contact with Ashley, to which Ashley believed him. It was truly a romance that should not have broken, but it appeared to.

~~~~*~~~~
Ashley waited months, no call, no visit, not even a sign of anything. He'd given up, he wanted to give up on romance, he felt such a connection with his dear Jeremy, it was too much for him to bear. Now as he sits in a small warehouse with CC, Jake and Andy, he sips on a light beer, going through a list of names on a sheet. Their band, Black Veil Brides, needed another guitarist, and possibly one to play piano or violin. It only made Ashley think about Jeremy more, the high hopes he had.
"So Ash, who's next?" Andy asked.
"Some guy by the name of Jinxx," Ashley replied.
"Send him in," Andy ordered to the organiser at the door.
Ashley took another sip from his beer as he looked down at a bass guitar magazine, too fixated on a new bass to even hear the newcomer come through to the room.
"Uh, Ash..." CC whispered, poking him.
Ashley flinched as he looked up, his jaw dropping as he caught sight of someone he thought he would never see again. The blue eyes, the defined cheek bones, jet black hair that was now straightened and teased.
"Jeremy!" he yelled.
"Hello Ashley, I prefer Jinxx now," he replied with a small smile.
"I...what...why...how, why are you here, why didn't you call me!" Ashley yelled.
"I, I was afraid, really...I think I rushed it far too much, I needed to think, I-" Jinxx stopped short as Ashley held his hand up.
Ashley stood up from his chair, walking over to Jinxx and staring into his eyes.
"Save the talking for later," he replied.
Before Jinxx could utter another word, Ashley's lips were pressed to Jinxx's, his arms wrapped around his neck as Jinxx wrapped his around Ashley's waist.
"Oh I'm getting all emotional again," Andy squeaked.
"Oh god," Jake grumbled, rolling his eyes.
They were united at last, the romance that should never have been broken. They were happy, they were destined for each other. For a lovers dance has no mistakes, it plays no one not even games. A lovers dance is slow and kind. Easy to learn but hard to find. A lovers dance.
