We Don't Belong

" Thank you so much for giving me dry clothes," I say coming out of the bathroom as I pull on his sweatshirt.

He also gave me an old pair of jeans that were like my size.

I sit down on his couch as I pull my hair into a bun on the top of my head. He comes from the kitchen with a bowl of popcorn and says," why don't we make the best of tonight and have a movie night."

"I would like that," I smile patting the couch next to me.

He smiles and sits rather close to me. He turns on Netflix and puts on a scary movie. Once the movie has been playing for a while, he puts his arm around my shoulder. I move closer to him and snuggle into his warm chest.

I feel myself start to doze off as the movie goes on. Every time I get scared, Braden squeezes my shoulder to comfort me.

I smile to myself and by the end of the movie I'm seconds away from sleep.

" So Charlotte, would you just wanna stay here. You can sleep on the couch if you want. "

"That would work," I smile.

"Great cutie. I'll go get you some pillows and blankets. "

I smile and watch as he goes down the hall and comes back with a blanket and a nice fluffy pillow.

I lay my head down on the pillow and he puts the blanket on me. And what feels like seconds later, I'm asleep.

Braden's POV

God she's so pretty. I can't believe Andy would ever do something like that to her. She doesn't deserve it. I think tomorrow I'm gonna sing her some of my songs and I think I'm gonna write her one.

I sit on a chair in the kitchen as she drifts off to sleep. I get on the computer and start checking twitter and responding to fans.

All of a sudden her phone starts ringing from her bag on the table. I get up and go to answer it, so she doesn't wake up.

"Hello?"

"Hello. Is this Charlotte?"

"Um no.. this is her friend, Braden. She's sleeping, it has been a really bad night for her. Is there anything I can do?"

"Um sir this is very urgent. Her father is in the Intensive Care Unit in downtown LA."
