Turn Out The Lights

Night Cap

Andy’s POV

“Thank you, Denver! You’ve been beautiful!” I shouted to the crowd. I bowed and the curtains descended to the floor; after people began clearing out I couldn’t see any sign of the girls from before. I wondered if maybe I scared them off with my grumpy cat-ness.
I turned around to go back to the greenroom to find the girls chatting casually amongst the guys as if they’ve been doing it for hours.
“Hey, you came back,” I smiled,
“Of course,” Lisbeth grinned, “why wouldn’t we have come back?”
I shrugged, “how about a little night cap, gentleman?” Abigail suggested.
“We have a mini bar back in our hotel suite,” CC informed,
“Just point me to the potions,” said Abigail.

Lisbeth’s POV

I held Avira’s arm tightly through most of the night. She gave me quite a scare. My heart nearly turned over in its ribcage.
“Are you going to be alright?” I whispered,
“Yeah, I just need some water,”
“I’m not letting you out of my sight,” I warned her,
“I swear that ring must’ve flew off my hand when I was jumping around,”
“Well,” I sighed, “keep that ring close to you and be careful,”
Avira nodded in understanding then stood up tall and walked normally beside me. We exited the venue with the cool, toxic city air hitting our faces as we walked down a couple of blocks to the hotel.
“Where did you guys go to?” I heard a voice behind me,
“What?” I turned and saw Andy,
“Where did you go?” he asked again, “I looked in the crowd after the show and you were gone,”
“I had to get some air,” I lied,
We walked quietly side by side for a bit until we reached the hotel doors. I stayed behind to wait for Abigail to break away from the group so I could speak to her in private.
“Hey, maybe we should give them a little…kick with their drinks?” I smirked,
“You mean like spike their drinks?” she asked shocked,
“Not spike per say, just give them a little something-something,”
“Lisbeth, no!” whispered Avira joining in.
“Avira, c’mon, how many times do you get to meet a rock band and not let them leave the city without having a little…fun?”
“Lisbeth,” Abigail sighed, “I refuse to use my magic for something like this, fun and games or not, that would be wrong,”
“Fine,” I sighed
“You guys coming?” hollered Ashley from around the corner,
“Yes,” said Abigail breaking the circle to join the boys.
I pouted angrily, “I wasn’t going to kill them or anything,” I grumbled as I walked to the elevator.

Andy’s POV

I collapsed onto the couch by the bar and observed half-heartedly as Abigail began taking orders and mixing drinks.
“Well, you certainly got a suite with a decent amount of options to choose from,” she smiled, “what’ll it be for you, dear?” she said looking at me,
“Nothing, I’m kind of off drinking right now,” I sighed,
“Alright, what about you?” she looked at Ashley, “just a rum & coke, seventy-five percent rum though, please,” he winked at her.
“Coming right up,” she replied,
“Second the rum and coke,” Jake smiled politely,
“A Devil’s Advocate, please,” said Jinxx,
“A Buttery Nipple would suit my fancy,” CC smirked jokingly.
“And the ladies?” smiled Abigail,
“A Bloody Mary,” Lisbeth replied,
“Just water,” Avira said shyly.
Lisbeth came and sat on the arm of the couch by my feet and talked with Abigail as she made the drinks, the guys were sitting at the table setting up for some poker.
“Everybody has their drinks?” asked Abigail, “everybody satisfied?”
“Most definitely,” smiled Jinxx, “I know I’ve had plenty of Devil’s Advocates but I swear, this is the best one yet, did you put something in here?”
Lisbeth shot Abigail a mischievous look that meant trouble to me, “no,” she replied, “maybe just a pinch of salt for texture but that’s about it.”
I sat up and walked over to the table to seat myself, “what’s our game of choice tonight?” asked Abigail,
“Poker, little lady!” replied CC in a scruffy western accent, Ashley walked over to the table with his wooden box of cigars and began passing them out.
“I figured that,” Abigail laughed, “but what game, Texas Hold’em or maybe even strip?”
“No hold up, we have a married man among us, let’s keep this PG-13 for tonight,” Jake laughed,
“Alright, no problem with that, cut the deck,” demanded Lisbeth, turning the chair to sit in backward while lighting her cigar.
The game went on for a good two hours; Jake and CC were red in the face from laughing so hard, Ashley and Jinxx were making jokes and the girls were taking us to the cleaners, even Avira, being as quiet and self-kept as she is, was having fun and laughing.
“Where did you girls learn to play like that?”
“We’ve had some practice,” Lisbeth smiled as she put out her cigar in the ashtray. I glanced at the clock that read 1:03 a.m. “Gosh,” groaned CC, “this was fun, we’re going to have to come back to this place when tour ends, I don’t think I’ve had this much fun with a group of girls, no offense guys,”
“Hey now!” laughed Jake tackling CC to the floor,
“Let’s not get too rowdy now boys,” laughed Abigail,
“I think it’s time for bed,” yawned Jinxx,
“I second that,” replied Jake,
“Me too,” agreed Ashley,
“Yeah it is getting pretty late,” admitted CC,
“Well, if you girls want, you can stay the night if you don’t feel like you’re able to drive,” suggested Ashley politely,
“Well that’d be nice, thank you,”
“Great,” CC smiled, “I’ll go down to the front desk and ask if they have any extra blankets,”
Everyone crawled into their beds; some of us even had to share. CC and Jake were fighting over the blankets last I heard. I took the elevator to the roof top pool to have a cigarette and look out at the city lights. I took a deep drag of my cigarette and just inhaled the beauty of the city at night.
“Andy?” I heard a soft voice; I turned around to find Lisbeth,
“What’re you doing up here?” she asked,
“Just having a smoke; it usually helps me fall asleep,” I confessed,
“Can I have one?” I pulled out a cigarette and lit it for her. The filter between her lips and glow of the embers reflecting from her eyes made her very desirable.
“What’re you thinking about?” she smiled,
“What makes you think I’m thinking about something?”
“C’mon Andy, I’ve been alive long enough to know when somebody has a tell to them,” I rubbed the back of my neck, turning around to look down at the cars driving below me.
“I just went through a bad break up recently,” I confessed. Why was I telling her this? She was probably going to think I was such a whimp!
“I’m sorry,” she whispered; taking a drag.
“I’m just miserable right now,”
“She meant a lot to you, didn’t she?”
“Yeah,” my eyes began to water, “but it’s over now, nothing more to do than to look forward,”
“Andy,” she whispered, “I can help you forget,” I turned my head slightly to look at her as she stood by me looking at the streets below.
“I’m not sure that’s the answer,”
“I didn’t mean kill yourself,” she chuckled, “that would be just awful,”
“Then what did you have mind?”
“Just close your eyes,”
“Close my eyes?” I asked,
“Don’t question, just do,” she said harshly,
“Ok,” I breathed out; closing my eyes I felt my palms grow clammy. From what I could feel, it was her arms wrapping around me. Her lips placed against my neck. I shivered as she continued to kiss the same spot. Gradually adding her tongue…then her teeth…those…teeth.
