"Come on lets go in here." Gemma said, pulling me into yet another shop. I sighed, and let her pull me to the dress section. We searched through the racks for dresses for the school dance. "Got anything?" Gemma asked, armfuls of dresses, and I sighed, picking up a few dresses, and following her to the changing rooms. "What do you think?" She said, coming into my dressing room, and looking in my mirror. "It's nice." I said, zipping up the side of my dress. "You sure? I mean I need to look amazing so that I can keep Danny's attention for the whole night."
"Well if he actually cared then you'd keep his attention anyway no matter what you looked like." I said, and she glared at me through the mirror.

"It dosent work like that anymore."
"Dosent it? Well I stil think thats how it goes."
"Well its not. Now you have to get there attention and keep it."
"Yeah, sure."
"Yeah, thats how it goes, you just need to get out of your fantasy world and into reality." She said, leaving my dressing room. I sighed, and looked at my reflection. I undid the dress, and put back on my jeans and tee-shirt. I heard Gemma storm off, and I sighed, leaving the dress and the shop.

I felt my phone virbrate, and I dug it out of my pocket, and looked at it.
Andy- Hey :)
I smiled and replied.
Me- Hey :P
Andy- what you doing short arse?
Me- was out shopping for dresses with Gemma til she stormed off and left me, wbu gazel legs?
Andy- At home alone, so bored, anywa why do you need dresses?
Me- For the dance, might just wear the red one I already own.
Andy- oh, your actually going to go?
Me- yeah, might as well, why dont you go?
Andy- because even if I do then I'm gonna be alone all night, and I can't even be bothered to.
Me- Oh, :(
Andy- You'll have fun
Me- I will if they don't bring drugs and other shit.
Andy- well if they do just leave and come to my house.
Me- lol, will do.
Andy- good lol.

I smiled and put my phone back into my pocket. Suddenly something in a window of a shop caught my eye. I went into the shop and gabbed it. It was a red strapless dress with black lace over it. I tried it on. It fit perfectly, and I smiled, and decided to buy it. I bought the dress, and walked back home, happy that I had got a better dress, but I couldent help but think about mine and Gemma's conversation earlier. It sort of seemed like I was always trying to keep Joe's attention, and everytime a pretty girl walk's past his eyes follow them across the room. I sighed, and plugged in my earphones, trying to push that out of my head.
