I walked through the school halls, hand in hand with Joe. We walked over to my locker, and I grabbed my books. "So babe, you coming to the school dance with me?" Joe asked, leaning up against my locker. "Yeah, it's going to be amazing." I said, and he smiled, kissing me. "I know it is." He said, and I giggled. The bell went and I groaned, knowing that I now had english. "I've got to go." I said, kissin Joe's cheek. "Bye babe." He said, walking off with Danny, one of his mates. I smiled, and walked off to english.

I walked up to Gemma and Elena, who were on the cheerleading team with me. "Hi." I said, and they turned to me, smiling. "Hey babe, you ok" Gemma asked,applying more lipgloss to her lips. "I'm good."
"Have you heard that theres a new kid here?" Elena said, whispering. "No Who?"
"Him." SHe said, pointing over to a tallish boy with black hair and blue eyes. He was wearing black skinny jeans and a Motley Crue tee-shirt, and had black eyeliner rimming his eyes. He had his earphones in, seeming to block out the world.

"He's wearing eyeliner!" Gemma squealed, bursting into laugher. "Gemma shut up!" I hissed, and he looked over at us. Our glances met, and I could see the hurt in his eyes. "You can be such a bitch sometimes Gemma." Elena hissed, and she stopped laughing, and looked at us. "Well he is, and thats just gay."
"Theres nothing wrong with gay people."
"But it's still creepy him wearing black eyeliner. But I suppose its normal for emo's."
"Emo?"
"Short for emotional, there basically people who do nothing all day but hate the world and cut themselves."

I winced as she said cut themselves. "That's stupid, Why hurt yourself?"
"Don't really know, but if there going to be like that why don't they just kill themselves."
"Gemma!"
"What? The world would be a hell of alot better without them making it miserable."
"Come into lesson now." The teacher said, and we all walked in and took ourseats. I saw the new kid talk to the teacher, and he said something to him. I looked around the room. The only spare seat was by me. He walked over gingerly, and sat beside me, taking out his earphones, and opening his book.

The lesson started and I opened my sketch book, and behind it put my potery book so it looked like I was paying attention. I continued with my angel drawing that I had started a few lesson back. Half way through the lesson, I felt someone staring at me. I looked at the new boy, and he was lookig at me. He noticed that I saw him, and turned a light shade of pink, and looked back down at his book. I took the chance to study his arms. There was nothing there, no cuts, nothing. Before I knew it the bell went, and he grabbed everything, and shoved them into his bag before heading out the door. I stared after him, puzzled. If he dressed like that, why were there any cut marks.

"Oi, daydreamer, come on the boys will be waiting for us." Gemma said, and I smiled, following them to the dining room. I sat down beside Joe, and started to eat some sweets. "Oh my god here comes that new kid." Danny said, and Joe looked over at him. "Watch this." He said, and he threw the cake he had in his hand at him. It landed on his back, and he stopped, taking in what had just happened. Everyone burst out laughing, apart from me. He continued to walk, not caring. I felt awful that that had just happened to him. "I'm off to the toilets." I said, and I grabbed my bag and a napkin , and headed towards the door. I passed him on the way to the toliets, and shoved the napkin in his hand, before walked into the toliets.
