Abeyance

"Calm down, calm down, calm down. Okay so the most gorgeous guy in the whole world just ran into you.. What do i do???" I thought to myself. Finally getting a grip on what was going on, I grabbed his hand and he pulled me off the floor.

"Are you okay? I'm so sorry, i should have been watching where i was going." He said with a worried look on his face.

"Yeah, I'm fine, sorry again, I was just trying to go outside for some fresh air." I explained.

"Mind if I join you? It's getting crowded in there and the guys I showed up with aren't interested in anything but the women here." He asked. Valid reason to want to leave, but is he joking? This cant be happening to me... Andy Biersack just offered to hang out with me? Impossible.

"Oh, sure that sounds good, smoking alone is never as fun, anyway." I said smoothly, amazed at how well i was playing this off.

As we sat on the concrete outside the bar I pulled my pack of cigarettes out of a small pocket in my jacket along with my batman lighter.

He looked at the lighter and chuckled softly. "Aahhhh, a Batman fan, are you?"
I smiled and looked over at him "Actually, my grandpa gave it to me a few years ago. He made me promise I'd watch at least one Batman movie,and I did. Since then, I've been a fan of the Batman."
He looked down at me, though we were sitting his six foot body towered quite a bit over my five foot four body."Oh, well I have loved Batman since I was a young boy."
My eyes lit up "Really? Because all of my friends think it's a little weird to be obsessed with a superhero at my age."
He laughed and rolled his eyes, "Well what can you do? Who doesn't want to hold on to their childhood, anyways?"
I smiled and pulled a cigarette out of the pack. "Want one?" I asked, putting the cigarette between my lips. He watched as I cupped my left hand over the tip and used the lighter in my right hand.
"Sure, if you don't mind sparing one."
I held my burning cigarette between my lips still and pulled out a cigarette for Andy.
"Here you go." I said handing him the lighter and the cigarette.
"Thanks a lot, I know cigarette prices have gone up lately, I just didn't bring my pack with me. I owe you one." He smiled while lighting the cigarette between his lips.
"I'm Andy, by the way. I apologize, I completely forgot to introduce myself."
I giggled. "I know, I listen to your music now and then. I'm Annabel."
He looked over at me, "aaaah, and I bet your middle name is Lee?"
"Yes..." I said looking down and blushing.
My parents had decided to name me after the poem "Annabel Lee" by Edgar Allen Poe.
"For the moon never beams without bringing me dreams of the beautiful Annabel Lee..." He said without hesitation.
"And the stars never rise, but I feel the bright eyes of the beautiful Annabel Lee." I responded immediately, out of habit. When you're named after a world famous poem, you are basically required to memorize the entirety of whatever it is you are named after.

"Poe was a genius." Andy said, taking a drag off his cigarette.
I smiled, being that Poe was my all time biggest inspiration. "I agree" I said softly.

"So, Annabel, what do you say we head in and get some drinks? I know you didn't come to the bar just to see me." He said laughing.
He was right, I was originally there to drink, but I would have liked it if I could have stayed and talked to him some more.
He stood up first and reached out for my hand. I reached out and grabbed his hand and he pulled me quickly off of the ground.
I giggled at how strong he was.
"Alright then, ladies first." He said holding the door open for me.
After I entered the bar, providing my fake ID at the front door, Andy and I pushed open the bar room doors and it seemed like everyone in the room turned and looked at the two of us.
And then we both stepped up to the bar.
"What can I get you?" He asked me smiling.
