Beautiful Remains

It BURNS!

-----JOSH’S POV-----

She’s so disgusting. I have told her time and time again that make-up is the only thing that has the ability make her slightly beautiful. I’m confused as to why she does not wear it. I was pulled from my thoughts when I heard that it was time for everyone to go to the venue, what ever that is, and get ready for the show. Perfect...she’ll have no one to protect her. That’s where I’ll have my window of opportunity.

-----ASHLEY’S POV-----

I slightly moaned as Nicole’s gentle fingers ran the war paint over my arms and back. She slightly giggled and drew a vertical line down my neck with more lines going horizontally across it. Since I already had war paint on my face, she finished with my chest then put the jar in my bag and washed her hands.

Jon gave us the five minute warning and, taking Nicole’s hand, I grabbed my bass and followed Andy, who had Kaitie on his back, to backstage. Nicole helped me secure the strap of my bass as I tuned it and, surprisingly, everything was working perfectly with her help. I never thought about having an assistant but she was pretty good at it.

We got ready to run on stage and just before I walked out, Nicole’s lips pressed against my cheek which left a pink kiss mark. I slightly blushed and walked on stage just before Andy, sending the crowd into a massive roar of our chant ‘Black Veil Brides’.

-----TIME LAPSE-----

“Where’s the girls?” I asked Jon.
“I’m so sorry,” he almost cried, “I tried to stop him I swear.”
“Jon...what happened?”

-----KAITIE’S POV-----

I chased after Josh as fast as I could, staying right behind him. I saw a flag pole sticking vertically out of a brick building to my left. I ran up the wall and, grabbing the flag pole, I used it to rotate myself then jump in front of where Josh was running with my arms folded across my chest. He tried to turn and run but, thank you Andy for being a mind reader, Ashley and the rest of the guys surrounded him.

“You have something that doesn’t belong to you, Josh,” I spoke angrily.
“She doesn’t belong to anyone!” he shouted.
“Except me,” Ashley replied with his arms folded over his chest as well.

-----NICOLE’S POV-----

I peered through my eyes to find Ashley standing with his arms folded across his shirtless muscular torso. He looked pissed and, to be honest, I would be too if somebody stole the one I love while I was unable to protect them. I was suddenly ripped from Josh’s arms and, as Kaitie and Andy carried me away, the last thing I saw was Ashley beating the shit out of Josh as Jake and Jinxx tried to pull him off.

I awoke in a soft bed with black satin sheets, blankets, and pillow covers and purple sways. The room was dimly lit with black candles which leaked purple wax from the inside as the flame burned down the wick. The slight smell of lavenders filled my nostrils as I inhaled the air and let out a deep sigh. I didn’t know where I was and, as of right now, I didn’t care. Everything was set up so wonderfully perfect, every little detail was taken into consideration.

“Good morning,” a familiar voice cooed.
“Good morning,” I smiled at a beautiful Ashley. “Where are we?”
“On the bus. I brought my bed set with me this time and, while you were out, Kaitie set up the back room for you. Jinxx bought the candles, Sammi talked him into it.”
“Well, he did a great...ah!” I screamed, loudly as I clutched my lower abdomen.
“Nicole? What’s wrong?”
“It...it hurts!”
“Wha-Kaitie!”

“What is it?” she asked worried.
“My stomach! It’s burning!”
“Let me see.”

She lay me back on the bed and lifted my shirt, revealing a handprint of blisters, sores, scars, and burns. She looked worried and called Jinxx into the room for a second opinion. He took one look at my stomach and nodded to Kaitie. I didn’t know what the nod meant but I could tell something was going to hurt. Ashley ran and got me a cool rag and, after setting it on my forehead, Kaitie had him rip my pants into almost booty shorts to keep me cool.

A hand came to rest on my sores and I screamed feeling the burn grow worse. Ashley came to sit behind me so my shoulders were on his thighs and my head was on his stomach. He removed his belt and put it in front of my mouth, letting me know to bite on it so I wouldn’t break my teeth from biting so hard. He then held both sides of my face, slightly relaxing me as a light blue light began to fill the room and the burning in my stomach grew even more intense.

I awoke again to a still and quiet bus where the only sound was the pitter patter of rain tapping against the metal of the bus. I quickly lifted my shirt and saw that the burn mark was gone, no blisters or anything. I smiled at the fact that I had friends to watch over and think of me when I needed it.

“Hey,” Ashley smiled, bringing me flowers.
“Hi,” I smiled back.
“How are you feeling?”
“Better.”
“No burning or anything?”
“Nope.”
“I’m glad. I couldn’t stand seeing you go through that again. The whole time it was happening, until you passed out, I wanted to tear Kaitie apart.”
“Why?”
“She was hurting you,” he blushed.
