-----ANDY’S POV-----

“Good morning, sweetheart,” I whispered in Kaitie’s ear as I sat her breakfast on the nightstand.
“Mngh,” she groaned, waking up. “What time is it?”
“6 am.”
“Let me go back to bed.”
“If the stereotype of vampires being nocturnal were true, you’d go nuts.”
“Yes I would,” she giggled.
“Well would you wake up if I told you that Ashley told us to take Nicole clothes shopping today?”
“I’m awake!”
“Haha, I thought you would. Eat your breakfast then we’ll get dressed.”
“I wanna get dressed before breakfast though,” she giggled.
“Alright, have it your way.”

Kaitie came to straddle my lap and she left a soft kiss on my nose with a sneaky look in her eyes. As she slowly peeled my t-shirt off her torso, my eyes instantly latched on her scarred ribs. I sighed sadly and very delicately ran my fingers over the three pink faded lines on her right, my left, side. Her cold yet soft hand came to rest on mine as she pressed our foreheads together and sighed.

“Why did you lie to me that day?” I asked softly. “Why didn’t you tell me they raped you?”
“I didn’t want to give you a reason to kill them.”
“I already did by the time you died.”
“I didn’t know that though.”
“So why didn’t you ever pull me aside and tell me the next day?”
“I told you when I was comfortable enough with you. Andy, they did more than hurt me physically...it hurt mentally as well. I’ve been so scared to be with you...that way.”
“I understand that you’re not ready and I’m completely fine with that. I just wish you would have told me sooner. However, it’s in the past now and we’ll just have to leave it at that.”
“Okay...you mad?”
“I could never be angry with you,” I spoke gently as I looked deep into her eyes. “Now, let’s get dressed love. Nicole is going to be up soon.”

I turned my head as Kaitie continued undressing, not having the strength to see any more scars. I felt awful that she had to live with that kind of mental torture for so long...not being able to touch me without having flashbacks. The very thought of what those...animals did to her caused my emotions to swell with anger. I balled my fists so hard that I could practically hear my knuckles turn white.

My anger then melted when Kaitie kissed my cheek from behind me. I turned to see her wearing a pair of normal bell bottoms, a white wife beater with a loose off the shoulder belly shirt, a diamond necklace I bought her, and some silver hoops. I smiled as she hugged me, taking the anger out of my heart. She knew what I was thinking and, rather than talking about it, all she had to do was give me her love and that was all I needed. When she pulled out of the hug, we went to go meet Nicole by the bus.

“Hey Nicole,” Kaitie smiled as she looped arms with Nicole as we walked across the street.
“Hey Kaitie,” she smiled back, “hey Andy. So, where you guys taking me?”
“A whole bunch of places,” I chuckled, opening the mall door.

-----TIME LAPSE-----

“That was so much fun!” Nicole giggled, struggling to open the door with all the shopping bags in her hand.
“Here,” I smiled opening the door for her.
“Thank you.”
“Would you like to go shopping again?” Kaitie smiled. “Of course it’d be some time down the road.”
“Yeah, I had a nice time today.”
“Hey guys!” Ashley smiled, entering the room with the guys and winking at me.
“Well,” I smiled as I took the bags from Kaitie and sat them on the floor, “Kaitie and I are guna get going. Nicole I hope you like all your clothes and Ashley I hope you have an extra suitcase for her.”
“Where are we going?” she giggled, confused.
“Do you trust me?”
“With my life.”
“Then follow me.”

I took her hand and lead her to a stairwell and I had her close her eyes. A little reluctantly, she did what I asked and took my hands as I helped her walk up two flights of stairs, one by one. My back then hit a wall and I turned my head to see an open door, I then knew we were on the roof. She felt the slight breeze and almost opened her eyes but I covered them with my hand.

When we reached the picnic basket and blanket Ash had set up for us, I took my hand from her face and placed it on the small of her back. I took her other hand in mine and began to softly sing Carolyn, causing her eyes to open and swell with tears of joy. We then danced the night away as a falling star shot across the beautiful night sky. I then thanked Ash, silently, for setting this all up for me.

-----ASHLEY’S POV-----

As Nicole modeled all of her new clothes for me, I heard Andy thank me in his thoughts. I told him that he was very welcome and I hoped that he enjoys his night with Kaitie. I then turned my attention to Nicole who was now modeling her new pajamas with Hello Kitty on the pants.

“Let me guess, Kaitie said I’d like these?” I chuckled.
“Yeah,” she giggled, “she said you love Hello Kitty.”
“I do,” I smiled as I put on my Hello Kitty beanie.
“Oh my God you look adorkable.”
“Hey, that’s my word!”
“May I use it?”
“Yeah I don’t mind, I was just being a goofball.”
“You’re my goofball,” she giggled.
“You’re my goofball too.”
“Yay! So, can we watch a movie?”
“Sure,” I smiled, scrolling through the channels.

We both agreed on watching Sleepy Hollow. Nicole then sat next to me, on her hip, and slightly leaned her head on my shoulder, her feet curled on the couch. I then adjusted and put my arm around her shoulders, causing her head to fall on my chest. I inhaled happily as she snuggled into my side and we continued watching our movie. I couldn’t imagine a more perfect moment than us being together just like this.
