The Missing Piece

"Please dad you don't understand I will die if I don't go to this concert"I pleaded at my dad. He laughed at me while I gave him my puppy dog eyes."well when you ask like the answer is still no." He can be such an assbutt sometimes. I get up from the table and put my cereal bowl in the dishwasher."Im going to school bye I love you." I yell out as a skip through the door and meet the cold wind of an Edmonton spring. I start walking to over to Aspen's house my best friend in the whole wide world. As I'm walking I look at my stupid necklace still missing its other half, Aspen is lucky and already found her missing piece. Mine still feels cold and dead meaning the my other half is far away.

After meeting up with aspen at her house, Jason her boyfriend came and picked us up in his warm car."So Iris has that necklace of yours started to heat up theres a new kid who knows maybe he could be your missing piece." Aspen has decide that it is her life mission to find my other half."yeah maybe i haven't noticed really". I lied not wanted to make Aspen feel hopeless, to be honest I couldn't really care less about this whole soulmate crap all I cared about was music listening to the bands I love and writing music is my life.
