I Would Die For You

"So Jasey, did you get a wedding dress?" Derek asked, looking towards her. We were all eating the homemade pizza she made, vegan of course. Jasey was obsessed with health.

"I did." She glanced at Lauren who smirked at her.

"Gonna give me a hint?" I said bumping her shoulder. She giggled and shook her head.

"It's bad luck, babe." She grinned at me. "You'll see it on the wedding day."

"That's too far away!" I groaned. She chuckled.

"Deal with it." She stuck her tongue out at me. Everyone laughed around us.

"Why am I not in your wedding Andy!?" Joe exclaimed and rolled his eyes.

"Because it's only fair that it's my band!" I shook my head.

"Well then." Joe scoffed, jokingly.

"Jay, Derek has something to tell you." Lauren smiled.

"What's that?" Jasey said, putting her plate on the coffee table in front of us.

"Well Jake Bundrick, the drummer and other singer in Mayday, and I were talking. Mostly about you and your sister but also one of our good friends in Atlanta who passed away. We decided to write a song for our album, and it's called Everything's An Illusion." Derek said. I watched as Jasey's eyes filled with tears.

"Are you serious?" She said, awe struck.

"Yeah. We needed one more for the new album and I couldn't stop thinking about what happened after Lauren had told me. So I called Jake up and, we wrote a song." He smiled. Jasey popped up from her place on the couch and threw her arms around Derek, I felt my stomach clench in jealousy but knew it wasn't a big deal.

"Thank you so much, Derek!" She exclaimed.

"No problem, Jay. I know how much that hurt you and I wanted to write something for you. And our good friend in Atlanta as well." She pulled away and sat on my lap. I wrapped my arms around her waist and rested my head in the crook of her neck.

"I'm sure Andy's written a few for you on his new album write?" Patrick said.

"A lot of them are about her or Dani." I mumbled against Jasey's skin. "Some of them definitely aren't."

"When is that album coming out?" Lauren asked.

"Don't tell anyone, because we haven't really started recording most of it yet, but it's set for June 14." I said. Everyone mused excitedly.

"Are you going on Warped this year?" Derek asked.

"Yeah!" I exclaimed.

"Sweet! So are we!" He smiled.

"That's going to be so fun!" I laughed, excited for what the summer may bring.
