I Would Die For You

Jasey, and I dropped our suitcases on the floor with heavy grunts. We finally made it to the hotel room in London after a long flight, and I couldn't have been more tired.

All I wanted to do was go to bed, and have Jasey curl up in my arms. I quickly stripped down to my underwear, and climbed into the double sized bed.

Jasey was standing by the window in her sleep shorts, lights from the city around us creating shadows across her face. Those lights illuminated her cheek bones, and made it easier for me to see the tears running down them.

"Babe?" I called out to her. She turned her head slightly, and glanced at me, before returning her gaze to the window. "Jasey, what's wrong?" I got up from my place under the covers, and walked over to her.

"I was just thinking about how much Dani would love this.." She shook her head, and another round of tears spilled out of her eyes. I wrapped my arm around her waist, hesitantly. "She always wanted to go to London." A sob escaped her, and I felt her shiver.

"Oh Jasey.." My voice trailed off, and I pressed my nose into her hair. "She would have wanted you to enjoy your time here. Not to mourn her."

"It's so hard to keep going, when I know she isn't here anymore." She turned in my arms, and buried her face in my bare chest. I worked my fingers through her long hair.

"I know." I said, setting my jaw. "But remember what you told me? Remember what you said you and Dani talked about? How you promised you wouldn't let her death get in the way of your living? You need to honor her wishes. It's what she would have wanted."

Her bottom lip quivered, as she looked at me. "Why do you always know what to say?"

"I don't. Unless it's to you." I placed my finger underneath her chin, and guided her lips to mine. The kiss wasn't heated, or sexy. It was soft, and gentle, but full of so much love. Full of every note I ever wrote for her, full of every time we ever said I love you, full of every time Jasey was in my arms. The kiss was full of the entwinement of our souls.

When we pulled both pulled away, I didn't want more, like usual. I just wanted to keep her in my arms. So I picked her up bridal style, and carried her over to the bed. She burrowed safely into my side, and I kissed her forehead.

"I love you, Jaselyn Emma Ross, for as long as I may live and beyond." I said. I felt her smile against my chest.

"I love you, Andy. Thank you for being here." She said, her eyes slipping shut.

"Always."
