Sink Your Teeth Into Forever

Andy's POV
I woke up to the sound of someone rapping on the door to our home away from home. The sound was sharp and it hurt my ears. I pulled myself out of Juliet's arms, trying to do so without disturbing her. The rest of the band was starting to shuffle and move at the sound. I glanced over at Ivy and Ashley, they were snuggled up together on the floor, that was so cute. I stumbled my way over to the door, still shaking off the sleep. I reached it and opened it up, cringing at the bright sunlight. It took me a moment to comprehend who it was at the door. It was our old friend Johnny , the one from the campsite and the plane.
"What's up?" I asked rubbing my eyes.
"Can you guys be awake and ready in an hour? We'd like to begin testing today," Johnny asked.
"Sure man, that'll be just enough time for us to shake off the hangovers," I said.
"Little too much fun getting reacquainted last night I see," Johnny said with a smile.
"You know it," I said, holding my head.
"Alright well I'll come get you guys in an hour," He said and turned to leave. I closed the door behind me and made my way back into the living room. I was really bad at waking people up. In this kind of situation you had two options, make a loud obnoxious noise, or quietly try and wake everyone up gently. It was eleven o'clock, they'd had enough sleep for one night.
"Everybody wake up and get ready for the day! We got one hour and it's time for testing! Whatever the hell that means!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. Everyone groaned and started rolling over and complaining at me. Jake threw a pillow at my head with incredible accuracy. I grabbed it and threw it back. Unfortunately my aim wasn't as good as I had hoped. the pillow sailed past him and decked Sammi in the face.
"You butt!" she yelled and threw it back. I ducked out of the way and the pillow hit a lamp. It started to fall and I had to make a huge step over CC to catch the lamp so that it didn't fall and break.
"I'm sorry Sammi I was aiming for Jake," I said.
"Sorry lamp I was aiming for Andy," Sammi replied. I heard some "ooooh's" as people reacted to the sassy remark. After that things got going pretty quickly. We got up and ate quick breakfasts and got ready for the day. Not a second after we were ready did I hear a familiar rapping at the door. I opened it and the rest of the band stood behind me as I invited Johnny in.
"Okay guys today I need just the inhuman ones to come with me and we're going to check out your human forms for any differences from what we'd expect," Johnny explained. We all nodded and he lead us out the door and out onto the island.
It was a hot and sunny day, one of those days where you walk outside and the only thing on your mind is the sun on your face and the blinding light. I loved it.
Johnny lead us across the island to the office building. As we walked in people stopped and stared. Some looked amazed or starstruck, others looked terrified of us. A silence fell over the room as Johnny lead us through, heads turned as we walked. We went through the entrance area and into a side hallway hidden by a door.
"Wow I heard rumors that they where here but I wasn't sure," I heard someone say as the door closed. We walked down the hallway, I got the sense that we were heading downwards. That was how an entire government society survived on this tiny island, most of it was underground or underwater. Eventually we turned off of the hallway and into what appeared to be a gym, like a high school gymnasium, underwater. I knew we where underwater because it had windows that viewed out into the ocean. In the room where three people besides our little group. Two women and a guy in his early twenties. One of the women saw us and instantly walked over to greet us. She was in her early thirties with red hair and a professional, but friendly air about her.
"So this is them?" She said to Johnny. She talked to him like they were good friends
"Yes ma'am," He replied, she turned to us.
"Hi guys I'm Jane, and I'll be working with you today," she said reaching out to shake my hand.
"Hi I'm Andy," I said shaking her hand. She moved down the line and shook all of our hands and we all introduced ourselves.
"This is Janice she will be observing today, and this is Ian he and Johnny can help us out if we need anything," Jane said, gesturing to the other woman and the guy, who was sitting in a folding chair. Johnny settled himself in next to Ian and watched as things got started.
"First of all, other than the obvious stuff, can you guys do things that other people can't?" Jane asked.
"Well I can do this," Jinxx said. He held out his hand and snapped his fingers. A bit of flame appeared, as if from the friction of the snap, and engulfed the palm of his hand. Jane took a step back in shock. Jinxx extinguished the flames apologetically.
"That doesn't hurt you?" Ian said in shock.
"Nope," Jinxx replied.
"Anything else?" Jane said excitedly.
