Sink Your Teeth Into Forever

Ivy's POV
I woke up early the next morning. Earlier than anyone else, or so I thought. I could tell by the window in my bunk that it was still dark outside, I was not prepared for the day. Emotionally that is. The second I woke up I remembered my situation and my belly was instantly full of butterflies. If what I understood was correct, the plane would be landing sometime around lunch time that day. That meant that I would be seeing Ashley again. At the very thought of that the butterflies in my belly turned into bees stinging me with my own nervousness. At that point I was fully awake and I knew that I would have no chance going back to sleep, at least not without getting up and moving around first, to sort my thoughts. I couldn't stand to lie still any longer so I quietly slipped out of my bunk and made my way out into the cabin of the plane. Instantly I regretted it. It was so dark in the cabin of that plane that I could not see a thing. I was already a few steps out of the bunk room and I was sure that I wouldn't be able to find the door to go back. The blackness was inky. I felt both deaf and blind, the plane was nearly silent, and I couldn't see a foot in front of me. The only thing that told me I was even in the plane was the feeling of the carpeted floor beneath my feet. I swallowed hard, I hated the dark. Suddenly all of the scary stories that I had spent time reading where beginning to come back to haunt me, literally. I was trying to make my eyes adjust, but the lack of light was so deep that I couldn't see a thing anyway. There I was still standing a few feet out of the doorway, and frozen with fear. That's when I heard it. A creak of someone taking a step. Not behind me, like one of the pack coming from the bunk room to rescue me. In front of me from somewhere in the cabin of the plane.
Now I know what you're thinking. Why didn't I just turn around and walk back into the bunk room? It was so dark that I didn't want to turn around for fear that I wouldn't turn far enough and then walk in the wrong direction and get lost. Also after I heard the creak I was so terrified that I couldn't move. My mind began to play tricks on me as I strained to hear something else that might tell me who was walking around the cabin at night. I imagined the giggle of the Happy Mask Salesman as BEN came to get me. I strained to see what might be around me, and my eyes started to play tricks as well. I thought I saw the ghoulish, tall, thin outline of the slender man, ready to kidnap me. That's when I realized that my eyes weren't playing tricks, I could see an outline of someone, not a few feet in front of me. My fear turned to that of pure choking terror as I heard another creak and the figure took a step towards me. Fight or flight took over and I was prepared to run and scream for my life. I turned and was about to run back into the bunk room when I felt an icy grip wrap around my wrist. I opened my lungs to scream when a hand clamped itself over my mouth silencing me. I was reminded of when Ashley grabbed me from behind while we were in my basement, but that didn't help my fear over the situation. I was pulled back into a warm body. I felt a hot breath ghost over my ear.
"Ivy, it's just me," I deep voice whispered in my ear. I was so relieved that I thought for a moment that my heart stopped and I almost cried. I stopped fighting and the hand uncovered my mouth.
"Andy?" I said.
"Yeah. What are you doing out here so late, or early I guess?" He said softly.
"I couldn't sleep, and I guess you couldn't either," I said, he made a soft sound of agreement as he let me go. I couldn't see anything so I had no idea where to look for him. Suddenly as his warmth left I felt like I was alone in the room again, until his voice came again from the silence.
"Did I scare you?" He said.
"Well yeah you did, I can't see anything," I said.
"I'm sorry, I didn't say anything to you because I thought that you were sleepwalking. I was just going to lead you back to bed, I didn't want to wake you up," He said, we were talking quietly so that we didn't wake up anyone else.
"Can you see out here?" I said.
"Yeah, I guess I forgot that you have a whole lot worse eyesight than I do. You still can't see can you?"
"No, not at all," I replied, and that was the truth. The only thing that told me that he was still there was the sound of his voice.
"I guess I owe you another apology. I'm sorry that I was such a jerk to you all day, I still want a little sister," He said, I couldn't see his face but his voice sounded genuine.
"I accept your apology, and you can be my big brother" I said, and I as I said it a yawn came from me throat. All of the excitement and the wearing off adrenaline was making me tired.
"Lets get us both back to bed, it's two AM anyway and we need to be awake for when we get to the island," he said. I felt his hand on the small of my back as he guided me back in the direction of the bunk room. When we got to my bunk I felt one of his arms sweep up under my legs and the other under my legs as he lifted me and placed me in my bunk. I thanked him quietly as I heard him go back in the direction of his bunk. I was surprised how easily I was able to lay down and immediately fall asleep.

First of all I don't know if I have to do this or not, but I don't want to get sued so, BEN Drowned and The Slender Man, as mentioned in this story are not of my creation, all credit goes to the creators of those monsters. Anyway, I hope that you all had a great Thanksgiving, I know that I had a great time. Let me just say that this chapter was not supposed to go this way I was just typing and then I thought of my cousin's haunted house that I stayed in this weekend and the fact that one night he sleepwalked and and it scared the crap out of me.
